I am a complete sucker for a Hallmark Christmas movie and I have been watching them since August. (Don’t even go there as I get enough stick from my family about that). So when I heard there was a book tour for an author who has written said movies I jumped at the opportunity, thanks Noelle.

This was everything I expected and more. There are your usual tropes but to me that’s a good thing and who doesn’t love a grumpy anti Christmas hero after all.

Lila is the antithesis of Theo and the big hearted heroine brings Eleanor into her friendship group after empathising with her loneliness and sets about saving the cabins. Charlotte, Edie and Piper are the kind of friends every girl needs and some of us are lucky to already have.

This book, as well as romance, is about friendships, community and the importance of kindness , especially around the holidays. With wonderful characters, the enchanting setting of Pinewood Hills and the prospect of love this is a warming hug of a book that fills you with hope and joy.

Thank you to Bookouture for my copy of this book via netgalley and for letting me take part in this tour. Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year and one of my go-to Christmas authors is Jenny Hale!
This book has all the hallmarks of classic Jenny Christmas book! Lila and her friends plan a week of Christmas heaven at Fireside Cabins. With Peppermint hot chocolates, visits to the Christmas Tree farm, an enchanted forest and so much more. I dare you not to feel festive after reading this book! Jenny has given me a real hankering for all things Christmas!
As well as the festive story there is obviously a bit of holiday romance. Lila starts to fall for coffee guy Theo. Theo has a billion walls up around not only his heart but his entire life. The only one he seems to break them for is little 5-year-old Rex. Rex’s family own the Christmas Tree farm and Theo been teaching him the guitar. Rex seems to have a way of breaking down Theo’s walls and getting a rare smile out of him. Theo is a guy with a messy past and an even messier present. But when you knock through those walls, he’s a real good guy.
This is book will give you all those warm fuzzy feelings and have you wanting to get your Christmas decorations up, festive foods in the cupboard and snuggle with a nice Peppermint hot chocolate! What more could you want from a Christmas story?

Romance, friendship, and holiday cheer. Jenny Hail is truly the queen of the cozy romance. Lila and her three friends head to small town Tennessee to spend the holidays in a quaint cottage. However when they get there the cottage is not quite as advertised. But after meeting Eleanor the owner of the cottages Lila recognizes a kindred lonely soul and insists that they stay. What follows is a sweet story full of festivd activities, found family, healing, and romance. Lila was a wonderful character with such a huge heart. Theo Took me a little longer to warm up to, but I knew under all that grump was a good guy. Loved all the fun festive Christmas activities this small town had to offer. There was such a comfortable warm holiday vibe to this story. This is the perfect book to cuddle up with a cozy blanket and cup of hot chocolate with.

This was an entertaining and light holiday read, that moves along nicely. There are a few difficult emotional situations for both Lila and Theo, but I loved that there was always something happening- we aren't left sitting in the sadness of their stories. The supporting characters are also a boon in Christmas at Fireside Cabins- I would absolutely read more about Lila's friends and the inhabitants of Pinewood Hills. If you are looking for a holiday read to transport you to a cozy, festive cabin in the woods, this is your book!

This is a beautiful story. It’s a love story, but mostly a tale of self-respect and finding our place in the world and what makes us happy. Lila Evans is an amazing female character. She is the kind of girl everybody wants to be friends with. She is strong, sweet, easy going and has a heart of gold. She is always trying to make everyone happy. When she meets Theo, the owner of a coffee shop, she shows him a new life. As we learn of his hurtful past, they start falling for each other.
The most beautiful thing of this book for me were the side characters, Eleanor, the owner of Fireside Cabins, who is an old widow that can’t keep up with the maintenance of the cabins anymore, and Rex, the five-year-old son of Theo’s friends who stoles our heart from the moment we read about him.
This is a low burn romance with mostly kisses. I love the dynamics between Lila and her friends. This is one of those books to read dreaming of Christmas with a cup of hot chocolate next to you and ginger bread. Enjoy! I did.

Christmas at Fireside Cabins is the first book I’ve read by Jenny Hale, but it won’t be the last! I've read a few Christmas stories over the past month and this one is my favorite! Lila Evans is at a crossroads in life. Life and the approaching Christmas season aren’t quite looking how she envisioned. An early girls’ trip seemed to be the perfect cure, but when that doesn’t go off as planned, Lila braces herself for her first holiday season alone. I loved seeing how the small town of Pinewood Hills welcomes her in. I looked forward to my time reading this book and it made me excited for the upcoming holiday season! Will Lila find direction for the next chapter in her life? You’ll have to read to find it out!

I love me some Jenny Hale and while this was not my favorite book of hers, it was still sweet with so much holiday cheer! I love stories with women’s friendships and I adore a grumpy hero with a soft side. Eleanor was such a sweet supporting character. I didn’t feel a connection to Lila and her need to help constantly was a bit odd to me! This one has a bit of mystery and I just felt like it took too much away from the romance. If you are a Hallmark movie fan, then this one just might be for you - and for that matter, all of Jenny Hale’s books!

Thank you to @bookouture and @netgalley for the ebook in exchange for my honest review!

*Thank you NetGalley for an early copy of this book!

Wow. I truly enjoyed this book. It was definitely a perfect hallmark movie in a book format. I really enjoyed Eleanor the little old woman character an her monthly habits an cookie baking. I love the love story an redemption of Theo and Lila. I went with 4.5 stars an it was almost perfect but i felt a couple plots were rushed that should have been explained an slowed down a bit but i fully enjoyed this story. I look forward to reading another Jenny Hale book.

I love Christmas stories that deal with love, family, friends and community. I also love Jenny Hale's writing, so I definitely enjoyed this one. When Lila Evans and her three friends decide to get in their girl's holiday getaway in early December, they head off to Pinewood Hills to stay at Fireside Cabins. Well, the cabins definitely presented better on the website, but they do not want to disappoint the owner, Eleanor, who was thrilled to see them when they checked in. Never did they expect that only Lila would remain behind as they all got called away. Lila feels that she has finally found a place where she belongs and with a handsome man, it might just be her happily ever after.

This was a beautiful Christmas story taking place in a small town with an amazingly supportive and loving community. I loved all the activities and businesses that had Christmas activities for the ladies to participate in. As well as the traditions and activities, there is the coffee shop, called Coffee. This is where Theo works and where Lila fell for him. Theo has a lot of baggage and a lot of secrets to deal with. Eleanor was an amazing character. That grandma figure who just makes everything work. One of my favourite characters is five year old Rex. Who wouldn't love a man who charms a little boy, and who earns his trust. With lots of decoration, goodies and gifts the Christmas spirit entered my heart. The story isn't all happy and fluff though. Both Lila and Theo have personal journeys they need to take. They need to figure out what they want out of life and make it happen. Theo has a lot of anger and he needs to forgive a lot of people, but Lila helps him along the way. As everyone rallies behind the couple, they learn to depend on others and make their dreams come true. A wonderful story with a happy ending that is perfect for demonstrating Christmas Magic.

The cover is gorgeous and the blurb promised some cozy festive romance. Overall, I thought the writing was very visual and dynamic, as always with Jenny Hale. You can easily picture everything and it would probably render well as a Hallmark movie. However, a couple of things did bother me. First, I had trouble with Lila’s personality and her reactions. She didn’t come across as an easy character to relate to. I also thought that the drama involving Theo took over from the Christmas feel-good mood I was expecting. I mean, it started out as some sort of infused cozy mystery, which was fun and refreshing (a welcoming shift from the usual codes of the romance genre), but it eventually took too much space. You really have to wait until the end to get the Christmas goodness. Also, the drama was rather epic and the resolution felt a bit too easily fixed and rushed.

Overall, I think the novel remains a pleasant, entertaining romance, but I wasn’t as moved by it as I was for, say, the author’s Firefly series.

Christmas at Fireside Cabin is a super sweet holiday romance. This is my first time reading Jenny Hale and I love her writing. Fast pace makes for a fun, quick read with a lot of emotional depth.

Lila Evans is off on her annual holiday trip with her closest friends. They are headed out of Nashville to Fireside Cabins. Lila lost her family and has made a life for herself after a break up in Nashville. She loves helping children in need and works as a waitress.

On the way to their cabin they stop at the Coffee shop and meet the mysterious owner/barista. A grumpy, rude vibe (reminds me of Luke on Gilmore Girls) from a handsome Theo. Lila has an instant connection and one sided banter with him...I will leave you there dear reader because I loved going in blind!

What is special about this book is the it isn’t your typical Christmas town and the character development is excellent. There are character flaws on these folks too. Steam level is low. (Kissing only).

Thank you Netgalley for the fun Christmas read! Looking forward to reading more by Jennifer Hale. #netgalley #jennyhale #christmasatfiresidecabin

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for kindly providing me with a digital copy of this book for review.
Reading this book was like stepping into a lovely bubble bath scented with something sweet and spicy. I don’t mean that this is a racy or saucy novel, I just mean that the story has a few twists and turns that give the story a little bit of intrigue and mystery.
Fans of musician romances or small town romances will enjoy this book and will soon feel wrapped up in the Christmas spirit. I felt the book started out very strongly - with a definite Christmas glow to it. It dipped in the middle if I’m honest but we were certainly in the full Christmas feels by the end of it.
I really really enjoyed this book and gobbled it up in one sitting- the pages are very easy to sail through. Would definitely recommend for your Christmas reading this year .

A sweet charming read full of warmth, heart and the sprit of friendship and Christmas that has left me feeling very satisfied and full of love. A group of friends set out to spend their customary Christmas week together at a cosy cabin in a charming town a few hours outside Nashville. Things however are not exactly the way they were led to belive yet they choose to make the most of it and enjoy every minute together. Lila has no family left and her girlfriends mean the world to her. One by one they will be moving on with their lives and she again feels alone and adrift in the world with no idea who she is and what she wants for herself in life. The reclusive, dismissive coffee shop owner Theo however has caught her eye, even though he is pretty much always surly and short. She is intrigued and can't help but want to help him. The small community is full of wonderful, loving characters. It's got charm and more Christmas spirit then meets the eye! Such a lovely read and it's definitely put me in a preemptive Christmas spirit!

Lila and her friends are looking forward to their annual girls trip to the Tennessee hills. The cabin is booked and the Christmas trimmings are packed. They arrive to the town of Pinewood Hills to discover the endearing elderly owner of the cabins is struggling with the upkeep. They enlist the help of a local coffee shop, Theo, to help with work on the cabins. Will the cabins be saved and Lila find the happiness she is seeking in Pinewood hills?

I loved this story! Lila and her friends were so much fun. I had a blast picturing their adventures and riding along on their trip thanks to author's descriptions and connection with characters. The story also had intrigue and family drama to keep the pages turning late into the night. Christmas at Fireside Cabins is a must read this holiday season for fans of sweet Hallmark romance movies!

This is my second novel by Jenny Hale. The attractive cover design of this one caught my eye and I thought the premise of the book sounded wonderful. Christmas at Fireside Cabins was a charming story and I especially liked the main character, lonely Lila Evans, to whom I could really relate. She was caring, determined and rather sweet and I loved the author's descriptions of the town and the various holiday events on offer in Pinewood Hills within the Tennessee hills.

Christmas at Fireside Cabins was a wonderful story about friendship - both old and new - and love. Lila and her small group of friends welcomed Eleanor Finely, the widowed owner of the Fireside Cabins into their circle of friendship, and that made for a heartwarming holiday story. Jenny Hale continued to impress me with her wonderful writing style, helping to bring this festive story to life. All of the characters were well created and developed and, aside from Lila, I liked the passages that included the grumpy and enigmatic coffee shop owner, Theo Perry. The Christmas theme was enchanting with its festive allure and the story's overall tone was so snug and uplifting. This was a beautifully articulated, glowing story of community spirit, dreams, taking risks, enjoying life and living in the moment. Dashes of sparkling romance kept things fizzing and everything was wrapped up very nicely in the end. A wonderful read with a really strong Christmas feel, this is a festive novel that I will certainly be recommending to friends and family.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Bookouture via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.
