I love a story with unique locales so, I enjoyed reading about Alaska and Santa Cruz. It makes me want to travel to both places. The relationship between Garth and Regan was unique in the fact that Regan was Garth’s personal pilot. I enjoyed going on the journey with them as they went from employer/employee to lovers. I liked the family dynamics between Garth and his siblings as well. I can’t wait to get their stories. Highly recommend!

Who wouldn’t want to fall in love with a handsome, rich business man? The main female character, Regan is love with her boss, Garth. She has been in love with him since she was a teenager. She is more than excited to spend time with him on a two week vacation and sparks fly.

This is the first book in Mrs. Jackson’s Westmoreland Legacy: The Outlaws series. With this being the first book, some of the writing is not as smooth as previous works by the author. She takes time to explain the relationship of the characters to one another and their back stories which make it seem a little uneven.

Overall, it was a good romantic read that can easily be consumed in an afternoon.

I was given the opportunity to review an advanced copy of this book via NetGalley.

This is a sexy book that I did enjoy. I liked the characters but the story was just a little bit not believable for me.
I will keep reading Brenda Jacksons' books and I do recommend this book.

Not my favorite story by the author. I am familiar with the concept of an arranged marriage and so Garth's using a marriage broker to help find a suitable bride for himself is not as alien as it might be to some readers. However the best laid plans and things don't work out quite as he had hoped and Garth ends up in a romantic location with his pilot Regan as companion. Proximity does the rest though apparently the two having been fighting with lust and emotions for some time.
I never really emotionally connected to the characters or the story. We'll see how Garth's siblings fare in upcoming books.

Both Garth and Regan have crush on one another but Regan's has lasted longer the Garth who is her boss.

Regan has an opportunity to get Garth to that he doesn't haven suffer in not having love in his life but can she pull it off?

I liked The Wife He Needs for the most part. The story felt a little choppy at times and it meandered along
throughout the halfway point but still there was a heated connection between the characters. I think Garth is going to not be all that likeable here because of his bull-headness of not seeing Regan there right in his face.

With a sexy location, a sensual vacation hook-up and minimal angst...Brenda Jackson was able to bring this
story home. If you're a fan or just checking out this author's work, then definitely give this new
series a read.

** I was provided an E-ARC Of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review**

This one fell very middle of the road for me. that being said I still enjoyed it. My main issues are with the characters and their romance. We saw little glimces of their previous history together and they are familiar with each other. They were clearly in lust but them being in love was less believable for me. Overall it was still a fun, quick and easy read that I still enjoyed.

The Wife He Needs is the start of a new series by Brenda Jackson, and if this one is any indication of what's to come, I'll be interested to see what's next. The story starts as an arranged marriage romance but doesn't quite get there, and that leaves the door open for Garth and Regan. Now, this one could've easily moved right on in to instalove, but these two already knew each other, and Brenda Jackson works it all out so that it may feel fast but isn't. It is an entertaining romance and it's a pretty quick read, so this is a good one to while away a few hours or stretch it out a bit, and it's a good weekend read.

I'm happy to review a book that is first in series. Garth Outlaw and Regan Fairchild meet after Garth's bride-to-be does not show up. This is a plotline I know from other books, but I could not resist downloading this after Harlequin Desire invited me to the blog tour. I books from another Brenda Jackson series, the Forged of Steele series. The other books I have reviewed by her are Seduced by a Steele and Claimed by a Steele.

Brenda Jackson really knows how to write hot fiction and develop characters and relationships well. I found myself hooked on this.

Thanks to Brenda Jackson and Harlequin Desire for my ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

What a fun way to do a friends to lovers romance!

Garth is getting up there in years, and is looking to settle down. He arranges to meet up with a woman through a matchmaking service for 2 weeks abroad, and gets no showed. He has already arrived, flown by his long time friend Regan to the destination.
He invites Regan to stay, and she decides to take this opportunity to make sure that he knows she has more than friend feelings for him.
This is beautiful and stunning. The end conflict was a little predictable, but I still really enjoyed the journey to get us here. Definitely need to prioritize my other Brenda Jackson novels now!

Felt a little choppy but sweet n spicy.

Even though this story has a familiar plot, Jackson manages to add her special twists to really envelop the reader. For one the main characters happen to know each other extremely well and both actually have crushes on each other, but who knew! Keeping it professional is mandatory!

It’s fun to watch them slowly come in to the realization that they could and would be a great fit and are actually perfect for each other.

While we know about her heated crush since she was a teenager, it seemed a bit abrupt with Garth’s realization or admittance of the fact he has been infatuated for years. But once he admitted it to himself and opened that door, he became very upfront and embraced a seemingly short relationship with Regan.

The Wife He Needs is easy to read with minimal angst! Just missing that special touch and better flow in some spots.

With a fabulous exotic locale we get to experience plus some hot and spicy connections between the two, this story is perfect to warm us up on a chilly winter’s day.

Regan and Garth had a sweet romance with hot chemistry set in the beautiful backdrop of Santa Cruz, Spain. The set up for this story is fun since it leaves our two main characters stranded in a beautiful place where they get the chance to admit their feelings for each other and act on them. I loved the opulence of their lives and the gorgeous descriptions of their food and clothing. I appreciated how slowly they transitioned from friends to lovers and were mostly completely honest with each other about what they wanted. I did find the physical stuff to be too descriptive for me and it really took me out of the story. I am a lover of steamy romance but instead of being caught up with the characters, I was more caught up with all the different ways Jackson used to describe kissing, Regan's body etc. Which does show she has quite a range but it could have used some editing down. Overall, this was the perfect afternoon read and I enjoyed seeing cameos from the Westmorelands.

THE WIFE HE NEEDS is a long awaited story of the Outlaws, the Alaskan cousins of the famed Westmoreland family. We learned about a lot about the Outlaws in Bailey Westmoreland’s book, BREAKING BAILEY’S RULES. In THE WIFE HE NEEDS, we get a close-up look at Bart Outlaw, who is often mistaken for his look-alike cousin, Riley Westmoreland. Bart is the oldest son of Bertram “Bart” Outlaw, and the oldest sibling of Jess, Cash, Sloan, Maverick, and Charm, the only girl. They are very close considering that they each have different mothers. Yeah, I’m sure that’s a story all by itself. While Bart and Regan’s story is alluring, the cornerstone of this book is the fact that Ms Jackson’s followers finally get to discover who the Outlaws really are. THE WIFE HE NEEDS is an entertaining and enjoyable story that introduces another branch of the legendary Westmoreland clan. It was worth the wait.

The Wife He Needs is the first in the Westmoreland Legacy: The Outlaws.

Years after his wife's death, Garth Outlaw is finally ready to get married again. He is seeking a partnership and a woman willing to accept that his heart will always belong to his wife. He thinks he has found that woman but when she does not show up for their getaway, Garth invites Regan to vacation with him.

Regan Fairchild is a private pilot who has worked for the Outlaw family for years. She has been in love with Garth for a long time and jumps at the chance to spend two weeks with him though she knows she is a replacement. She hopes to convince Garth to see her, not just as a friend, but as the woman he needs.

Both Garth and Regan are likeable and relatable. I loved the story overall and I found their passion believable. Regan remained true the entire book and I am all for putting yourself out there when it comes for love. Garth's story seemed to shift from the beginning. At first, it seemed as if he wasn't aware of his feelings but then later on, that changed where he was well aware of how he felt. I didn't get that part but it didn't detract from the overall storyline.

As usual, Brenda Jackson had me engaged. I love how she crafts her stories. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series.
Thank you #Netgalley and #Harlequin

Brenda Jackson knows how to create characters that are immediately likable. Within the first two pages of The Wife He Needs, we meet a family of hard-working, successful men who love each other and draw us into the pranks they play on each other. Garth Outlaw is a man whose love, once given, is never withdrawn. Regan Fairchild is as hard-working as any of the Outlaw clan. She chose her career as company pilot, following in her father's footsteps. Regan has loved Garth secretly for years. There is wonderful conflict set up between Garth and Regan. Garth, the older, very successful employer thinking about seducing Regan, a trusting, beautiful, young woman, whose social and financial status are far below Garth's. Unfortunately, it is difficult to slowly savor a Brenda Jackson romance. It is better to just go ahead and read it twice.

A quick and easy romance read is just what I needed in between uni assignments and that’s exactly what I got with The Wife He Needs. I am incredibly lucky to be one of Harlequin’s regular advanced readers. Especially as I find the to be a wonderful escapism when needed.

This one follows Garth and Regan as they both enjoy two weeks in Santa Cruz, neither had expected. Garth was originally visiting to meet with someone a dating agency had set him up with, but when she doesn’t show, he asks Regan – his corporate pilot and friend – to say and enjoy it with him. There is no doubt that Garth is attracted to Regan, but when he doesn’t know is that she has been in love with him for more than 10 years, and she’s willing to fight for the heart Garth says will never love again.

There were a few times when the second-guessing questions within their inner monologues got a little tedious, but those moments were short lived and rare. Overall, this is a quick, and easy with likable characters that you can easily storm through in a few hours.

This book was everything I'd hoped for and come to expect from this author. Although it started out kind of slow for me it quickly sucked me in. I was thrilled to spend a quiet afternoon relaxing with this book. Jackson is a must read, one-click favorite for me.
