I really enjoyed this book but must admit it starts slowly and involves a lot of grinding for points and frequent point notifications. On the other hand, the characters are very positive and show growth throughout the book and the plot moves a lot faster in the second half leading to a nice battle and great ending. While events seem simple and straightforward in the beginning of Soul Bond, as you read along you find nuances and undercurrents that will lead to sequels as well as an enjoyable read in this book. While there are references to the first book in the series this book stands alone quite well and has a real ending, not with an annoying cliffhanger, which I think is a satisfying change from many books in the LitRPG genre.
