I will definitely be buying this book to keep. This book provides contemporary prayers, affirmations, and meditations for anyone, regardless of their personal religious or spiritual beliefs.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts and review.

I love having this as guidance in prayer. I often have trouble finding the right words or correctly describing how I feel when I pray so this is definitely helpful. However, I did not find the illustrations particularly helpful or motivating. For me, it distracted me from finding prayer templates I could bring into my everyday life.

Overall, I think this is good for those who have just discovered God or religion but I would recommend the version of this book that was published in 2013. I believe it lacks the illustrations so I definitely, highly recommend that version. I will be using some of these templates in my life.

I really enjoyed this book! There are so many times when I am at a loss and don't even know what to pray for, let alone to whom. I also think these could be used as journaling prompts!

I'm so grateful to Hannah Burr, Tiller Press, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.

If you're seeking prayer guidance, or want to pray but don't know how to start or what to pray for, than this book could be for you. Unfortunately it wasn't for me. Just about the only thing I enjoyed was the art that separated the prayerful suggestions.

This was exactly the kind of good weird I had hoped it would be. A secular art-centered prayer book is probably not the must have for everyone, but as an agnostic in the south it tickled my fancy in all the right ways. My only major wish for this is for the copy issued to have color scans and art. It seemed to have the intention of color upon publication and would have only benefiting from it. Absolutely unique in a good way, this was a self affirmation sort of treat to sit down with.

I really appreciated the breadth of these prayers. They definitely werent the standard ones and were ones i felt like I could go to more when I really need to use them. I appreciated the artwork too because if gave my mind something to focus on briefly and practice mindfulness while doing the prayer.
