This book had so much potential but I felt it had too much going on. There were connecting love stories between our main characters best friends and I wasn't a fan of the reason Lucky and Ransom had issues in college. It was something that could happen to anyone and it certainly wouldn't be something the press would care about years later.

I loved the idea of Ever After and it is definitely a place I would like to read about but the author's execution of the story was poorly done. If the book was stripped back and less complicated it would be an excellent read.

Fairy Godmothers, Inc. by Saranna DeWylde is a fantasy romance novel with magical elements to it. Lucky Fujiki's first name is a cosmic joke. Her luck is so bad, even the number seven steers clear of her. Ransom Payne, a not so social chocolatier wants to run away from Lucky Fujiki, but Godmothers have something else planner for both.

Ever After, the town is losing its magic. So the fairy godmothers want Lucky Fujiki and Ransom Payne to help them bring the old charm and love back. The Fairy godmothers plan a not so real wedding to bring back the lost love and charm in the town.

I liked the plot of this book a lot. I liked the humorous characters and meddling fairy grandmothers. But I felt that some important parts of the plot were very unclear and felt unsaid. The town setting was great. It felt like a proper Christmas movie setting to me which was great.

Apart from the magic, family, love, the romance was kind off lacking. The intimate scenes, chemistry, etc. was lacking between both the characters. I liked how the book started, very strongly but in between kind off went little bit down for me. Overall, a great, light and whimsical one sitting read for me.

Fairy Godmothers, Inc. is such a cute and adorable read, it's one you will fly through. The love story in it is well executed and you really believe in and root for the characters.

This book tells the story of Ransom and Lucky. It show the path it took to find out about their love. We also meet the Godmothers and Happily Ever after. I loved this story and meeting the characters.

This was such an adorably adorable book! I had hoped it would be my type of book from reading the blurb, but you never really know. But thankfully this book live up to the hype, and I devoured it from start to finish!

Thank You, Next was a fun read and I flew through it. The concept of the story was quite entertaining. It didn’t completely wow me but I still enjoyed it.

I wasn't the hugest fan of this narration style. I can't pinpoint exactly what it was, but I'm learning that I'm extremely picky when reading lately! There's nothing wrong with this book, just not my thing right now.

This book was so cute, and i ended my reading happy and with a smile on my face. This is perfect for when you want to read a light story and just enjoy yourself. Lucky and Ransom were a sweet couple, and their hea was very romantic.

Thank you to the publisher for providing an ARC of the novel in exchange for a review. On the great spectrum of romance novels, this easily lands a spot on the far "cute" end. The only thing I could think of while reading was that this is what it would be like if Disney and Hallmark teamed up for a rom-com-esque movie.
That being said, there were just several details about the plot that made me a tad confused and left me wanting more of an explanation or a chance for more from the characters. Firstly, when Lucky is exposed to the magic of Ever After, she freaks out for approximately two seconds and then everything is somehow fine. I'm sorry but if I found out literally everything I knew about my family and hometown was a lie I'd be a tad more dramatic and upset?? Also, the entire plot revolves around the "unluckiness" surrounding Lucky, and never is that once explained besides chocking it up to her mom having a difficult pregnancy. It just felt like an easy plot device that could be used whenever the author wanted to make everything chaotic or fix everything easily.
The characters were fun, but I never really established a true connection with them beyond that of a superficial one. I'd definitely read more from this series with the upcoming installments and it was a cute fairytale spin on a romantic comedy.

Not at all what I had expected ,the more I read the more frustrated I got with both the story & it's characters ,I know there all forms of re-writing Fairy Stories & bring them up to date but sadly this left me totally bemused & disappointed . I’m not going to lie – I remember skimming Fairy Godmothers, Inc.‘s blurb, and expecting the said Fairy Godmothers to be part of a matchmaking company or something. I didn’t expect them to be actual Fairy Godmothers! I mean, I’m not complaining, of course. I think the story is more entertaining this way!

Fairy Godmothers. Inc. opens with the three godmothers, Petunia, Jonquil, and Bluebonnet, talking about how they barely have any magic left. Since love is what powers their magic, they decide to make their town of Ever After, Missouri, a premier wedding destination. Together with all the magical beings of Ever After, the godmothers get to work convincing their godchildren, Lucky and Ransom, to get fake-married in their town. Since Ransom is now a billionaire and a CEO, the wedding will garner all sorts of publicity. Because of their love for their godmothers, Lucky and Ransom agree to get fake-married, and the story kicks off with Lucky and Ransom arriving in Ever After.

Lucky, ironically, is anything but lucky. She has notoriously bad luck, and only a select few aren’t affected by her bad luck. We also learn that Lucky and Ransom were together back in college, but her bad luck always prevents them from having sex. Eventually, after a specific incident that makes Ransom a laughingstock, they break things off. In the present, Lucky and Ransom are quick to realize that they still love each other, and Ransom sets out to convince Lucky that they can make a relationship work, even with Lucky’s bad luck. I enjoyed how open Lucky and Ransom were about their current relationships – all the woes, fears, white lies, and shortcomings. Lucky is a also a great character – I admired her positivity a lot.

One of the backbones of Fairy Godmothers, Inc. is love, but Lucky and Ransom’s supposed past love was difficult for me to connect with. We’re told time and time again that Lucky and Ransom were each other’s great love even back then, but it was never shown. It was always just told. I didn’t find it easy to root for them because their relationship history was barely delved into. As the story progressed, there was a lot of development relationship-wise, but I personally would have appreciated more flashbacks to give Lucky and Ransom’s love more of a foundation. On the flipside, it was easy to see how much Lucky and Ransom loved their godmothers, and why they would agree immediately to get married for them. The godmothers’ love for Lucky and Ransom was easily seen and felt too.

The stars of this book are definitely the townspeople of Ever After. The godmothers were so funny and entertaining, and I enjoyed figuring out which other fairytale characters were residing in this town. The hints at these characters’ pasts (aka the stories we grew up with) was cleverly done, and I hope we see more of them in the next book. Gwen, Lucky’s best friend, and Roderick, Ransom’s best friend, were also compelling supporting characters, and I loved how loyal they were.

Fairy Godmothers Inc. is an enjoyable read, and it’s the perfect mix of humor and seriousness. Other than love, another big part of the book is Lucky’s journey of self-acceptance, and I feel it was explored very well. All in all, Fairy Godmothers’ Inc. is a relaxing read, and I’m looking forward to the next book about Gwen and Roderick!

I loved the concept of this book and although it took me a while to grasp all of the characters were so closely linked to fairy tales it was a really joyful hygge book.
Lucky is only lucky by name she is calamitous. Like a whirlwind!
Ransom is handsome and rich and they are both linked by their godmothers.... fairy godmothers.
Will they live happily ever after. This book leads them to their godmothers in ever after a quaint story book town.

I really recommend this book to all who love a cute story.

I requested this novel because I’ve always remembered the Fairy Godmothers’ and they were my favorite characters from childhood. This story was a creative take on the fairy tales the most of us grow up with. It makes me want to go back and read all those Goldenbook copies I cherished. As someone who is new to the romance genre I didn’t expect to like this book as much as I do. It was the perfect balance of a few genres without being overwhelming on the love aspect. The best part is the characters, even the ones who aren’t from Ever After. I also appreciate the twist on the hero’s journey. I read this in one setting, staying up late/early to finish it. I’m already anxiously awaiting the sequel.

Real fairy godmothers, a fake wedding, second chance romance with a splash of magic and a bit of fairy dust sprinkled on top.

Fairy Godmothers, Inc. by Saranna DeWylde is the story of 3 meddling fairy godmothers trying to save their magical town by setting up previous lovers Lucky and Ransom. For me it was Petunia, Jonquil, and Bluebonnet that stole the show. They were sassy in an adorable grandmotherly way and fully won my heart; they were hilarious. I was slow to warm up to the romance, but it was sweet and paced pretty well. The blend of the different fairy tales and characters were just enough to not take away from anything else. The only thing that I had a difficult time with was the so called incident, for me it didn’t seem to be very realistic with how much of an issue it became.

Overall this was a fun read and I look forward to the next book.

Fairy Godmothers, Inc. was super cute. I loved the Once Upon a Time angle of skewing our fav fairy tale characters. Red and Granny, The evil queen, etc. so much fun. Ransom and Lucky were cute can their attraction was undeniable but sometimes they got a bit annoying with the two-step (but usually that's a "me" thing and not necessarily a "book" thing). The secondary characters were fun and I absolutely can't wait for more in this series!

That’s what happens to Lucky and Ransom. In order to help their godmothers and their struggling little town, the6 agree to fake marry to bring a booming wedding business to the small town. However feelings linger, but when Lucky bring unlucky wherever she goes, will they ever be able to make it work?

A cute story with all of its predictable love lines. A story of magic and love, friendships and relationships. There’s so much room for more stories to follow more characters and he godmothers more. There was just something about this book that didn’t mesh well with me, I can’t put my finger on it. Overall a nice read.

Although this was an easy read with really cute fairy tale elements, it felt like the author tried to start too many other stories instead of focusing on the main couple.
I enjoyed it but I would have preferred more with the main couple, less constant meddling, and fewer storylines.

In a fairy tale world, everything ends up happily ever after. In these crazy times of Covid and civil unrest, I needed a picker upper and this book fit the Bill. Three fairy godmothers need to restore their energy and come up with a plan to hold fairy tale type weddings in their town called, Ever After. Lucky is their goddaughter, and does not fit her name since bad luck seems to follow her. In love with Ransom, Lucky agrees to a fake wedding to help kickstart Fairy Godmothers,Inc.
