This is the first book I've read in this series and I found I really loved the close knit group of characters in this Hollywood world. They are so down to earth and supportive of each other. This book is about Keely who is a famous Hollywood actress and Mac who is an ex military stuntman. After the leading man is murdered before filming starts on their film, Mac finds himself becoming the leading man in the film despite never having acted. The chemistry is instant for the pair and despite their hangups can they survive the string of cursed happenings to the movie production.
I liked this book but I felt it was very unbelievable at times as they were saying I love you after 2 days and who just gets on with life like nothing has happened when their friend was murdered. For that reason I give it 3 1/2 Stars.
Thanks to Netgalley.com and Alexa Aston for my complimentary eARC copy.

I'm starting this review at 60% through. I've never started a review win the middle of the book, but I just had to start the review now! lol I like Hollywood Double and like all of the books in this series, it is very good. I have liked Keely since she was introduced in the earlier books. She is a strong female lead and well fleshed out in the book. I don’t feel like I’ve gotten to know Mac at all (at 60%), and that is a shame as I think he is probably a strong, likable character - he just wasn’t fleshed out early on.

I've finished the book now and I feel that too much time was spent on all the characters from the first books and more of that should have been spend on Keely and Mac. The other characters were all about their interaction with Keely and Mac, but it didn’t really add enough to their story. I will say when the plot started thickening, I thought I had it all figured out. I wasn’t sure if that was because it was obvious or because I’ve just read too many romance books so it is obvious to me. But, there were some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming (although I felt some repeat from earlier books in this series) and actually those new twists were REALLY good. It was a strong book, but probably my least favorite of the series. A 3.75 rounded to a 4. I thank NetGalley for the review copy, but I own/or have pre-ordered all of the books in this series as I have enjoyed it that much!

This book is difficult to review not because there wasn't a good plot but because of its execution. The story jumped from scene to scene with little natural flow. It made for disjointed reading. I found it difficult to follow the story as information was just thrown at the reader and it skipped over chunks of time with little regard to story development.
This was a miss for me and one I wouldn't recommend.. I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is book four in this series. Mac Randall is a retired military officer who comes to Hollywood to be a stunt man. Keely Kennedy is a rising actress, about to star in a new film. When the two meet, there is an instant attraction. Mac is the stunt double for the start of Keelys movie. When the star doesn’t show up, the two go to his house and find him dead. Surprisingly, Mac lands the lead role. As the filming begins, so does a relationship between the two. But it seems as if the movie is cursed as one thing after another goes wrong.

This book took me a while to read, but that had more to do with me, and things in my personal life that the writing of the book, and how the book was. I really enjoyed this book, but (things in my life) had a time getting into it. The writing was great, and i loved the characters. They are written wonderfully, and you feel you can get into their head. I loved the mystery in the book, trying to guess what was going on, and the love story was great. I recommend this book, and will probably try reading it again when things in my life settle down.

Keely Kennedy is Hollywood's leading lady who has never found love. Mac Randall is a popular stuntman, and former member of the army, who finds himself in the lead role opposite Keely. This story involves murder and smoking hot chemistry. Hollywood Double is book four in the Hollywood Name Game series.

I really enjoyed this book! The characters were perfect and I like how previous characters make appearances in this one!

Can this series get any better? Well, yes it can and with Mac and Keely, the combination is stellar!

Mac had endured a lot. In the military and seeing all the losses. Meeting his wife, a nurse and a whirlwind marriage, only to later be betrayed by her. Now he was taking a chance and going to work as a Hollywood double. What did he have to lose?

Mac meets Keely Kennedy, the lead actress in the film on the first day of production and there is a definite spark. But things go awry quickly, when the lead actor who Mac is playing as his double is found murdered! Before you know it the crew has Mac reading the lines and taking his place in the film. Yowza.

This story has it all. A gorgeous hunk who is such a good guy with a big heart, that has had it's sorrow and a beautiful actress who is so down to earth with her beloved dog... murder, suspense, sparks flying and great characters showing up from the previous stories. Total sigh worthy!

Hollywood Double, by Alexa Aston. This contemporary love story brings a fresh realization that the heart can cross all bounds. You can never deny or hold back what the heart wants. I really enjoyed reading the focus of the story, which is the romance that was growing betMac and Keely. This story had that nice comfortable feel to it. What I mean is that the reader could curl up on the couch and get transported to Keely and Mac’s world. Alex has a way of writing a story for her readers where they easily visualize it as a movie. I recommend this book. I voluntary reviewed this ARC after receiving a free gifted copy.

I really enjoyed the story. The main characters were very likeable. Story has some twists and turns which kept it very interesting. Things happened very quickly in the story. Also nice that the author includes characters from the prior books in the series. This can definitely be read as a stand alone book.

I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley for my voluntary honest review.

I am not a huge fan of the romantic suspense genre, but Hollywood Double kept me enthralled from beginning to end. This is the fourth book from the Hollywood Name Game series and it can be read as a standalone. I must mention that the first three books in the series are terrific and should not be missed.

Passion evolves between actress Keely Kennedy and stuntman turned actor Mac Randall, both who are working on the same film. Mac is already a part of the crew, as a stunt double for the male lead. When the star is murdered, Mac auditions for the role at Keely's recommendation. Mac is a natural and he and Keely fall into lust and love while making an amazing movie.

I liked this love story and the criminal situations involving the movie production adds quite a bit of suspense. Keely and Dash are a delightful couple, and their happily ever after is worth waiting for.

An intriguing page turner. A romantic mystery. An adorable dog and cute children, wedding and a birth. This book has it all. This was my first experience with this series. Interesting behind-the-scenes look at Hollywood. As usual, I skipped over any intimate details. Clever mystery. I look forward to reading the next one.

This is the 4th book in this series, and the best one yet. It was fun to follow the developing relationship of Mac, an ex-military guy turned Hollywood stuntman with Keely, an actress we met in previous stories now getting her own HEA; at the same time, reconnecting with old friends from prior books in this series. As a secondary plot line, there’s a murder mystery (actually murders, plural) that is slowly revealed in bits and pieces, so we don’t see as significant until this storyline is well developed. The characters in this book are really likable and realistic; the dialog between them easy and comfortable. It was really nice to reconnect with characters from previous books, and see the deep friendships that have them gathering around and supporting each other. My only issue is that none of these people saw the murders as connected—to each other or to the movie they were making, which seemed too naive for the complexity of the full developed plot. This was a fast moving story, and a really good book. I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. This is my freely given, honest review.

This is the 4th book in the Hollywood Name Game Series that can be read as a standalone. This one was much more enjoyable to me than Hollywood Player. It had all the elements I look for in a romantic suspense. Well written and enjoyable. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

This is book 4 in the series but easily stands alone. This is Keely's story. She is a character that has been seen in this series from almost the beginning and now we finally get to see her find love. The guy she chooses is Mac, a former military guy who now does stunts for hollywood movies. They meet on his first day on the job when the movies leading man goes missing. Then they find his dead body and so begins this story where Keely sees Mac and his talent and he ends up as her leading man in the movie.

This story is about Mac and Keely but also has a murder mystery / who keeps sabotaging the movie and why? I am not spoiling that. I did see it coming though and the fact that the characters in the story didn't well I found that a bit silly.

This story had several plot devices that were kinda fantasy like. Definitely how Mac was a great actor and won the role so fast. He and Keely also fall hard and very fast. Aside from whole fantasy instances I loved this story. I really enjoyed this story a lot.

Will the misfortunes cursing their new job impact their relationship...

I love this series more and more, and I am sad to think the next book will be the last.
For the main couple, it is instant chemistry and I would say even insta-love.
Mac went through a lot, it is even astonishing how he holds on after so many trials. And while he swore to never give his heart again, he listens to his guts, and follows his heart when he could have run away straight to the other side.
He is a straightforward type of guy, he does not lie, plays no game, he is whom you got.
Keely is a rising star, she is not on the A-list of Hollywood actresses, yet she lives well and is happy with her situation, she has a loyal group of friends and is happy as she is. Men she has decided only complicate things, thus she thought. Until she meets the stand-in and stuntman of the leading star of her current contract. She is instantly entranced and bewitched.
At first I found her a bit paranoid but I can understand, I would hate to see pics I never wanted to exist go wild with no control over them. And while the paparazzi are more contained and regulated in France, it is often a crazy business elsewhere.
Their romance is one of immediate understanding with very few up and down but a lot of faith and trust. They both have their down the rabbit hole moment and it is the other whom stand up to smooth things when they get down.
I loved to see again too the other couples, so while you can read this book as a stand-alone, you will better appreciate the dynamic of the friends group by reading this series in order.

A five stars read
I just wonder about Josh, I was so sorry for him.

I was granted an advance copy by the author, here is my true and unbiased opinion.

A romance with a lot of mystery,

When the actor playing the lead in a new movie is killed, Mac his stuntman, becomes his replacement. Keely the lead actress recommends him as there is an instant attraction between them and she feels he has so much talent just waiting to be released. Then the director is hit while jogging and it becomes clear that the film is doomed. Will the chain of incidences stop of the movie from proceeding? Or will the show go on?

I loved Keely from the very first book and was excited to read her story. Mac is so perfect for her because he's so down to earth. I could just feel the connection between these two characters and I so wanted them to have a happily-ever-after. A great addition to the series.

I received an early copy courtesy of the author through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

I love this series! Keely and Mac have awesome chemistry and the romance is sweet and sexy. Reading this book is like visiting old friends. There's romance, humor, a bit of mystery, and a perfect dose of suspense. It's a fast paced read. You can't help but be sucked into the pages.

What a series, you get so much out of this read, a love story, suspense, plus a lot of behind the scenes in the making of a movie. Mac is my favorite male lead so far. He is no nonsense and so green to the lifestyle of the rich and famous. Enter Keely, she has been there and tries to guide him. The chemistry between them is great. We also get to check in on what has been going on with the previous couples in the series, it is fun to catch up!

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the advanced copy for me to review, all opinions are my own.

Mac is disillusioned after coming home from a stint overseas and discovering a faithless wife! He turns to being a Hollywood stuntman and holding his emotions all inside!

Keely is a rising actress who feels as though she just can’t seem to find the right person. Why is it everything else in her life is on track, but her love life?

Then she is star struck by her leading mans stunt double! He is also attracted to her, but onset romances never go anywhere!

Murder and mystery start to plague this set and maybe soulmate couple! Alexa Aston takes a what could be a tedious romance another level and actually gives it a plausible twist and great plot! I guess that’s why she is a phenomenal writer!

I would recommend this book to a friend!

I received an advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.

This is the fourth book in the Hollywood Name Game Series but is read as a standalone. Keely has been in some of the other books but Mac is new to the series. He's former military, Hollywood stuntman, and aspiring star. The book is full of suspense and drama. A murder mystery and romantic suspense all rolled into one. The book is well written and the characters are likable. I received a free advance copy via Netgalley and voluntarily chose to review it.
