The Knights of the Castle continues with Knights of Grand Crossing. In this installment, we get a dual storyline. We dive into the world of Rahm "Hiram" Fosten and Ahmad Maharaj.

We meet Rahm Fosten in King of Devon where he was instrumental in helping uncover the lies that brought a scandal to the Healing Center run by one of the Kings, Jaidev Maharaj. Jai gives a second chance to Rahm "Hiram" Fosten and a few other young men by hiring them after some brush with the law...now known as the Knights of the Castle.

We learn of his backstory of what led to his incarceration and later becoming the Knight of Grand Crossing. When opportunities open in Durabia, without hesitation, he moves in hopes of a fresh start. He talks to his aunt Alyssa, who was his biggest supporter while locked up, to come for a visit, intent on convincing her to stay. It was difficult for Rahm to celebrate his new ventures with unfinished business back home. The plans to relocate his ailing mother met with resistance from his brother, who was hell-bent on throwing any blocks to keep his brother from having his happiness. Greed and jealousy play a big part in their relationship. By the time he realizes what a real brotherhood bond can accomplish, it left him holding a bag of karma. Then it was Marilyn, the love of his life refused to follow him to Durabia and make everything official.

Alyssa came to Durabia with hopes of overcoming some life tragedies, self-care, and becoming whole. Love was not on the agenda, but it would seem fate had other plans. While taking in the scenery, she encounters a little boy who captures her attention. Unbeknownst to her, he would bring the answer to an unstated prayer.
Taken by the way his son interacts with this stranger, Ahmad had to know more about her. When in her presence, he understands what his son must feel, as the chemistry between them is too overwhelming not to pursue.
You will want to grab this one for all the drama-packed that came with this one...no spoilers here.

What I enjoyed most was how the authors engaged you in both storylines without one overpowering the other.
I recommend the entire series for your reading pleasure.

Rahm, after serving his sentence for a crime he didn't commit, is planning to move to Darubia and open a tattoo shop. He plans for his girlfriend, Marilyn as well as his mother to move there also. Things fall apart when Marilyn is starting to have second thoughts and his brother has found a way to keep their mother from moving. Consecutively, Rham's Aunt Alyssa is out working on her book while visiting in Darubia, when she meets a young child with speech and reading difficulties. Not only is she able to help him with his issues, she impresses the child as well as his father, Ahmad. is amazed at the progress his son has made with Alyssa, and is hoping it will continue, as well as accept his feelings for her.

There are heroes as well as villains' in this story that will make you truly want to murder certain people. Normally, I'm not a fan of 2 storylines in a story, but it works in this book. The three authors have penned a story that will stay with you long after you read it. It was well written and I enjoyed it immensely.

Anita, Hiram and Naleighna did a great job with Rahm’s book. Rahm, Ahmad, Alyssa, Marilyn and Lauren are given a second chance on life and they are taking it.

We know Rahm as Hiram from Jai’s book “King Of Devon” book #4 in “The Kings Of The Castle Series”. Rahm has spent 6 years in prison for a crime that he was unjustly accused of. His brother Cain had information that would’ve helped but he did not divulge the information. Hiram lands a job with Jai who is about giving ex-cons another chance. Marilyn Spears works for the state and she and Hiram are getting very close and are lovers. They both are instrumental in bring down the individuals that are trying to shut down Jai’s facility after an incident.

Hiram aka Rahm has relocated to Durabia with the help of Jai who now has facilities in Chicago and Durabia. Rahm is preparing to open up a tattoo shop with the help of Sheikh Kamran, bring his mom and Marilyn to Durabia. Marilyn Spears is having second thoughts about coming to Durabia giving excuses about the customs. Rahm’s mother is in a nursing facility and is about collect a large sum of mother. Rahm’s brother has gone into the nursing facility and has gotten power of attorney over his mom and now Rahm must take alternative methods to get his brother to release the power attorney.

Ahmad Maharaj a doctor is another member of Maharaj family and he is having family issues of his own and Rahm’s aunt Alyssa is a writer and has her own issues and is visiting Durabia and they are a comforting source to each other.
There is drama, family issues, greed, jealousy, a plot to murder and an old arch enemy that resurfaces that I thought had been taken care.

This is an awesome read which is a standalone but I recommend you read the previous books about Kings and Knights; I promise you will not be disappointed. Naleighna and the authors that are collaborating with her are doing a fantastic job. I hate to see this series come to an end. So, pick up your copies today.

Thank you Naleighna and Netgalley for granting me an opportunity to read “Knight Of Grand Crossing”. The opinions expressed are my own.

Enjoyed the story from start to finish. Kept me enthralled throughout, and the dual storyline was a different journey from the previous Knight installments. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys well-rounded and complex characters as they traverse through toward their respective conclusions.

First off a big thanks to the authors as well as to the publisher Macro Publishing Group-Independent Publishers Group for inviting me to read and review it as well as NetGalley and for letting me go on with this series. Because each book just keeps getting better. One of the main reasons I loving this series is that the authors aren't afraid to talk about hard topics that we are deal with in our day to day life, plus their characters feel like real characters and not make believe characters . Because each of the characters and story lines they've introduced have been vibrant and well-rounded . The plot is compelling as is the characters backstories and you can almost feel the characters emotions. And its a series I highly recommend to all readers of romantic suspense and and the only multicultural romance that I will read and tell my friends about.

Second chances in life are not always guaranteed, especially when you have paid the price for a crime that you did not commit. As a Knight of the Castle, Rahm received the opportunity to put the past behind him, sculpt out a better life moving forward and help make a difference in the lives of others.

This standalone book takes you on a journey of love and romance featuring two dynamic couples (Rahm/Marilyn & Ahmad/Alyssa). Karma, greed, indecision and dysfunction also weave their way throughout this page turning story, ultimately ending in sweet redemption and happiness. It’s always great to see some of the favorites from the Knights of the Castle make appearances.

Highly recommended read and don’t forget to check out the first four books in the phenomenal book series. Happy Reading! – U.M. Hiram, Finally

Rahm is a Knight with a difference. I like his rough edges and the fact that he’s strong enough to find his way in the world after a stint in prison that never should have happened.

His dreams are shattered when the woman of his heart changes her mind about flying into the sunset with him. Then his life is further complicated by his brother, who is lower than a snake’s belly and just as full of poison.

On the other side of this dual storyline, Rahm’s aunt flies to Durabia to scope out the country with a view to moving there. She crosses the path of Ahmad Maharaj, who has a complicated situationship that leaves room for them to explore their attraction to each other.

Aside from the romance, this story comes with despicable characters who make life nearly unbearable for the Hero/heroine. There is deception and double-crossing in this tale of love thwarted and deferred. But of course, the couples come out on the other side, secure in their love.

The Bliss parties created a different kind of adventure, but you have to pick up the book to find out all about that.

Rahm is interesting to me because I’ve dated him, one of my best loves actually. The plot is very engaging. Enjoying this well written read.

3.5 stars--KNIGHT OF GRAND CROSSING by Hiram Shogun Harris et al is the fifth instalment in the contemporary, adult KNIGHTS OF THE CASTLE multi-authored, multi-cultural romance series. KNIGHTS OF THE CASTLE is a spin off series of the multi-authored Kings of the Castle but you do not have to have read the previous series to follow or understand the current timeline.

Told from third person perspective using present day and memories from the past, KNIGHT OF GRAND CROSSING follows several intersecting paths including Knight Rahm Fosten’s second opportunity and life in Durabia, as well as Rahm’s Aunt Alyssa’s second chance at love.

Tattoo artist Rahm Fosten spent six years in prison for a crime he did not commit and upon his release was welcomed by the Kings into the Knights of the Castle. Having fallen in love in Chicago, Rahm was hoping his girlfriend Marilyn Spears would follow to Durabia but Marilyn struggled with the distance and leaving her family behind. Meanwhile, all was not well with Rahm’s old life in Chicago, as problems of a different nature threatened the safety and health of someone back home.

Concurrently, Rahm’s widowed aunt Alyssa, a romance writer, welcomed her nephew’s offer of a home in Durabia. Living in the Free Zone meant Alyssa was able to experience a new life including the private members club known as Bliss. Out for some fresh air, Alyssa would meet a young boy who struggled with speech and his ability to read, and in this Alyssa would come face to face with wealthy Durabian surgeon Ahmad Maharaj, a man who stirred something deep within our story line heroine but a man whose home life was a little too complicated for Alyssa. Hoping for something more, Ahmad Maharaj asked Alyssa to help with his son’s education and in return would escort Alyssa to her evenings at Bliss, in an effort to prove he is worthy of her love and perhaps a happily ever after but all was not well in Ahmad’s personal life as someone else was vying for Ahmad’s attention.

KNIGHT OF GRAND CROSSING is a story of family, friendships, relationships and love; a story of vengeance and betrayal; heartbreak, romance and seduction. The story line bounces between several intersecting plotlines, several perspectives and relationships, and in this there was some initial confusion-

KNIGHT OF GRAND CROSSING is a detailed storyline with overlapping scenarios wherein two couples will find their own happily ever afters. The premise is inviting; the romance struggles in the face of misunderstanding and miscommunication; the characters are numerous, energetic and passionate.

Knight of Grand Crossing was everything I thought it would be and more!

Rahm Fosten did time for a crime he didn’t commit. Now that he’s free, taking care of the three women who supported him on a hellish journey is his priority, but old enemies are waiting in the shadows. While Rahm and Marilyn navigate their romance, a deadly threat has him and the Kings of the Castle primed to keep Marilyn, his Aunt Alyssa, and the rest of his family from falling prey to an adversary out for bloody revenge.

From beginning to end I was enchanted by the characters and the story. Awesome read all around!

Knight of Grand Crossing by Hiram Shogun Harris, Naleighna Kai and Anita L. Roseboro is book five of the nine book Knights of the Castle series. This series is a spinoff of the Kings of the Castle series. The books in both series are standalones penned by various authors and can be read in any order.

Rahm Fosten has landed in the East Indian country of Durabia and wants nothing more than he wants his love, Marilyn Spears, to join him there. They’ve weathered storms in the past but are now faced with a challenge that threatens to derail their relationship and their futures.

Ahmad Maharaj is facing life-altering issues but has a new, positive distraction, Alyssa Porter. This woman does what no other has been able to do, and he wants her forever. Unfortunately, they are unaware that they’re in mortal danger.

Harris, Kai and Roseboro continue the excellence of the Knights of the Castle series. The three have penned a seamless novel that maintains the integrity of the series. Characterization remains a key component, and these characters are top-notch. They’re vibrant and well-rounded with complete backstories. Characters from previous installments are properly introduced. The plot is compelling, and we get a two-for-one on the romance. The dual storylines enhanced, not detracted from, my enjoyment of the book. This is another 4 out of 5 star addition to the series. I recommend Knight of Grand Crossing to all readers of romantic suspense and multicultural romance.

My thanks to Independent Publishers Group and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.
