Not bad at all. It has a decent plot and likable characters. Could be better and more to the point. I found annoying the single lines between paragraphs, but not enough to stop reading.

After his devastating loss Thomas "Tor" De Wolfe threw himself into his work and ignored his two young sisters in-law. Years later they are grown up and decided that he belongs to them and nobody else. Now he and other members of the Wolfe pack are hunting a worthless man who abandoned their cousin.

Isalyn De Featherstone had to come north to visit her father, but she has no intention of staying. She loves her life in London where she writes plays anonymously. She dislikes the restrictions placed on her and often escapes on her own.

Our heroine is far too independent for her own good. We just know it will bring her big trouble.

Our hero is a true De Wolfe, big brave and honourable. He like to believe everyone is just as trust worthy.

You can't help but get fully involved in our characters lives, especially as there are so many family members that you will have met before in other stories. We get fun, romance and danger all the way through. A fabulous visit with old friends and new.

I loved every page.

Will some black souls find a way to tear them apart ...

If you are new like me to Mrs Le Veque’s world, and read the introduction to this series by the author, do not fear to be drowned by the many protagonists.
I was at first overwhelmed but in fact only very few interfered in this one, so while the long list of William de Wolfe’s offsprings is unsettling, I only went back to check these first pages once. After I let the story follows its path and it was enough.

It was very easy to see where the plot would lead once the various characters and villains were introduced.
And while Tor is a nice man, he is at fault by never really caring for his wards, I can understand grief but if he only had taken sime times to get to know his late wife’s sisters, he might have prevented many hurt.
After if the fruit is rotten, it is.
But he chooses the coward way, letting others in charge and never really looking to correct their way, letting their soul fester to a decayed state.
I thought Isalyn at first a spoiled woman, when she is just one wanting to mark her time even if it is with her limited means.
She is no damsel in distress, she sees past most people’s mask and refuses to cower. She faces people’s threats her head held high.

Tor and Isalyn’s romance is cute like the lovely second one between Isabella and Fraser.

I absolutely love getting myself lost in one of Kathryn Le Veque's stories, especially when the de Wolfe family is involved! There's never a dull moment in Tor and Isalyn's story.

I loved Tor's character, even after everything he's gone through, he remains a gentle giant and a true warrior when need be. Wouldn't it be wonderful to all have a Tor in our lives?! I adored Isalyn's character as well, she may be young but what an independent spitfire she is. How she stood up to the two "Vipers" is priceless:) Tor had been a widower for 17 years when he meets Isalyn and it's instant attraction. She gives him a second chance to love again, something he never thought would happen. I also enjoyed all the other characters who all play active parts in the story.

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Tor is a man that is what most women dream there husbands would act like. A gentleman, but yet he would protect you with his life! Tor is all de Wolfe and then some! A new generation that is going to make there own mark and let it be known that they don’t tolerate anyone messing with their family!

Isalyn is worldly and has high expectations for a life in the metropolitan of London. However, she meets Tor and for both of them there are sparks. Could it be that Tor has found the woman to breach his heart? Is this the man that will take Isalyn away from the city lights?

However, this couple is about to face a nest of vipers and other roadblocks they didn’t see coming!

Kathryn Le Veque has not disappointed her readers with this book! She has sheer talent that keeps on writing!

I received an advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.

I always think Kathryn’s books can’t get any better, then she brings out another one and I’m floored once again.

Brilliant story and such a chemistry with the characters of Tor and lsalyn, it takes your breath at times with the intense looks and passionate feelings starting to build.

As usual we have the de Wolfe family coming and going and some new characters too.
Fraser is a wonderful addition to the crew as are the vipers/harpies, you’ll find out what I mean😜.
I’m really hoping all this is successful in tempting you to get this book, I’m confident that if you enjoy Medieval Romance you’ll love this one.

A complex tale with lots of turns and twists. A very sweet tender and poignant love story,Kathryn has played her characters well. She has a way to involve her readers into the story. In this second book of Wolfe pack generation the Legacy of William de Wolfe and Jordan lives on to be carried on with honour and pride.Without shedding light on the actual narrative or giving out spoilers I would say it’s like reuniting with your family after a break and catching up with whatever is happening in everyone’s life.
The introduction of new characters in the book keep the readers engrossed and fascinated.Tor and Isalyn share a beautiful tale of love and adoration which is portrayed in a delightful way that touches something deep in one’s heart.Inspite of all the travails and problems they both emerge stronger and better in their love for each other.
A lovely narrative and a must read for all those Kathryn fans.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😊
