This is a Suspense Romance, and this is the 8th book in the True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn series. I really enjoyed the story/plot in this book. There are two mysteries in this book, and the ending has twist and turns that was so good. I did not see the ending coming. This is a short and fast read, and I did not want to put the book down. The characters where very fun to follow, and I loved the dogs in this book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Love Inspired Suspense) or author (Shirlee McCoy) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review about how I feel about this book, and I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

Who are Sasha & Bradley? What does King do that raises suspicions? What has happened to Sasha more than once in this particular week? When Sasha ducks into a business, what business is it and what happens? What do Sasha and Bradley have in common? How does Bradley get involved with what is happening to Sasha? What happens the morning that Bradley escorts her to work? Oh my, I did not expect what I learned about a person named Landon. Who is he? Why is he important to the story? Read and find out!

Another enjoyable Love Inspired suspense book, that are my go to comfort reads. I may be weird but for me these books are my go to comfort read.

If you’ve been following the “True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn”, you’ll want to read this one. The on-going mystery that begin in the first book finally comes to a conclusion in this book. Although this is the last book in the series, there’s no problem reading this one as a stand-alone story. But this story has an exciting plot all its own, and it was good to see Bradley McGregor have his own full storyline as he tries to protect Sasha from the man who is intent on killing her. Both Bradley and Sasha have tragedy in their past, and both struggle with risking their hearts in a new relationship. But as they work together to keep Sasha alive and capture the would-be killer, they realize that there’s a bright future ahead for them, if they can bring themselves to claim it.

The other thing I’ve loved all throughout this series is reading about the police dogs at work. They’ve added another level of excitement to the storylines, and King certainly does his police duty well in this story. I’m hoping that this K-9 emphasis continues on in another series.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Journalist Sasha Eastman is shocked to discover that the man that is stalking her looks just like her mother's murderer. How could that be when he died years ago? The thing is, Sasha committed the face of the brutal killer to memory and she is certain that she has stared into his eyes once again. What is more is that he apparently wants her dead now.

K-9 officer and detective Bradley McGregor has been assigned to protect Sasha. Imagine his surprise and shock when she describes the man that is chasing her. What is more is that this case is bringing memories back to Bradley about something that once happened, not only making him extra focused on helping Sasha, but also making me as a reader feel drawn to him and his past, thus both stories are woven together quite well within the pages of this compelling mystery.

This book concludes a series by multiple authors, and I hadn't had the opportunity to read the prior stories. What I did like about this book is that as the cases progressed, readers were connected with characters who no doubt each had their stories told previously. By so doing, Bradley couldn't help but see that his team members all found their forever love. In fact, he wondered if he would ever find such love, and it did not escape his notice that Sasha appealed to him on several levels, beyond the fact that he was looking out for her safety.

Although I came to this series late, I was drawn into the story from the beginning and loved that each officer had a K-9 partner, in this case it was King, Bradley's partner. I loved King's role in this book. His training came to the forefront more than once and made me eager to see how he would be instrumental in Sasha's case, and this did make me curious of the other books and other canines in this series.

This delightful story was a quick read, one that I was able to enjoy in a single sitting. While this was only my first book by Shirlee McCoy, it certainly won't be my last. I enjoyed the way she wrote the characters and how she blended the two stories together. It was also very nice to see the strong bond between the officers and their canine partners.

Many thanks to Love Inspired Suspense and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

I finished this book in a couple of hours. It was just so good and I love losing myself in a good book!
McCoy is a really good story teller and I love how she makes her characters seem real.
Yes, I even felt the hairs stand up on the back of my neck at times. Of course I read this late at night which is my favorite time to read.
The 9th book and the last in this series. I loved every one.
I enjoy a book with a lot of fast paced action and just right romance. This one was no different.
I recommend..
I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

When human interest journalist Sasha Eastman is threatened by a man who looks strikingly like her mother's murderer, even though he was caught 20 years ago, Detective Bradley McGregor and his K-9, King, step up to protect her.

A fast paced K-9 adventure that wraps up the True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn Series. A quick read, filled with action, mystery and adventure. Because I had read the previous books in the series, the parts that were a continuation of the story thread running throughout the series, felt a little repetitive because of recapping.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read, with good protagonists, faith, and plenty of action.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Delayed Justice
True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn
By Shirlee McCoy

All his life Detective Bradley McGregor has looked out for his little sister. But now she is getting ready to get married and leave their home behind. But since his parents' murder all those years ago he's felt the judgment of others - the blame that he could have been the one to do the deed. Years as an officer with PD have not lessened those feelings and he thinks nothing ever will. And there is no way that he is about to be interviewed by Sasha Eastman for her popular program.

But when Sasha becomes the target of a man who looks just like her mother's killer Bradley will do all he can to keep her alive. He just never expected to connect with her on a personal level. But Sasha is nothing like he expected - she's not cynical and wants to uplift with her broadcast.

But the question that has them most baffled is how a man who died more than a decade ago can be targeting Sasha. Time is a luxury they don't have to find the answers they are seeking.

If you are looking for a page-turning, clean-read suspense with a touch of sweet romance look no further. Shirlee McCoy's Delayed Justice is the ninth book in the True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn series. Even though it is part of a series you can totally read this as a standalone book as each book features different characters as the main story focus.

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations other than that I provide my honest opinion. All thoughts expressed are my own.

Hey folks, daddy Steve here with some doggiebook talk. I finished this one last weekend but ran out of time this week to report on it. I’m talking about book 8 in the True Blue K9 Unit: Brooklyn series, Delayed Justice by Shirlee McCoy. It’s not made very clear on the cover picture here but it’s part of the Love Inspired Suspense series from Harlequin. Yup, second Harlequin book for me in what, a month? 😉

Seriously, I see a lot and I mean A LOT of these K9 books with gorgeous cover pics and they always seemed interesting enough that I wanted to read one, or a few. I was granted this free advance reader’s copy from NetGalley and I’ll tell ya, I actually enjoyed it. The doggie action was credible cop action, at least to my untrained eyes. The romance, well, it faire share romance stuff, but I didn’t think it as too cheesy. Only felt it moved on pretty fast but hey, gotta make stuff happen.

The crime and the mystery were interesting. Only thing I might say is that this is book 8 or an eight book series and while they say that each book can be read independantly, and I wasn’t lost with all the characters in the books, it had many moments where the author recounted what had happened in previous stories of the series. In one way it made me want to go back and read the previous books but in another way, it made some portion of this book a bit redundant.

All in all an easy and quick read at only 192 pages, but a recommended read for book lovers looking for a love story... 😉

Huge thanks to NetGalley who provided a free eBook advanced reader’s copy in exchange for my honest review. This is as honest as it gets...

I am SO happy to review another book from the True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn series. Unfortunately I have missed a lot of books since Copycat Killer, book 1 by Laura Scott so I have some catching up to do but fortunately each book focuses on a different case.

This time, Bradley McGregor and his K-9 dog King must help a lady who is being stalked by the same man who killed her mother. But how can a dead killer be a stalker?

This synopsis was enough to get me hooked and the stalking was very scary. I am naturally a very cautious person, so an experience like this would make me extremely scared for myself were it happening to me. I wanted justice for Sasha.

The K-9 Unit are professional and there were lots of twists and turns that kept me guessing. Suspense, real threats and romance are a perfect combination and Shirlee's work flows so well.

As soon as I finished book 1 I emailed Harlequin asking when another book would be out. I am glad I got to review the first and last books in the series and the others are on my list.

Thanks to Shirlee McCoy and Harlequin Love Inspired Suspense for my ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

This is the eighth book in the True Blue k-9 Unit: Brooklyn series.

This was a really intense book. Both of the main characters had a lot of old baggage that was currently triggering them. Bradley had uncovered his father’s killer in the previous book to this one and this book featured the duo solving the crime of Sasha’s mother’s death and the truth behind it.

I could feel this book to my core since I recently lost my mother six months earlier. I always enjoy the Love Inspired Suspense line and this one particularly resonated with me. I will definitely be looking for other books in the K-9 series.

If you want to read a good romantic suspense book, definitely check this one out. You won’t be disappointed.

I received this as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) in return for an honest review. I thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this title.

This is the eighth book and dramatic final story in the True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn series and is a totally enthralling, well-paced, suspense-filled read with great characters, both human and canine!

Journalist and broadcaster Sasha Eastman has had a traumatic life. Her mother was murdered, her husband committed adultery and left her and her much loved father sadly died after losing his battle with cancer. Despite this she's a relatively positive person, sharing good news on a regular tv slot. When she starts seeing her mother's killer stalking her she thinks she must be imagining it as he was killed by police years ago. However, when he shoots at her - and misses - in front of Detective Bradley McGregor and his K-9 partner, King, she knows it isn't her imagination. Can Bradley and King help protect her and bring the perpetrator to justice?

This isn't just the one suspense filled thread, there is a copycat killing that is too close to what happened to Bradley and a mysterious person being sought in connection with the latest murders. As the stories unfold,  the tensionns mount and Sasha finds herself as the potential victim of more than one killer! It is a fascinating read, sharing an insight into the roles of K-9 officers and their partners whilst also showing trust, love and faith can help when facing potential danger.

Thank you to Harlequin and NetGalley for my copy of this book which I have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed.

An exciting and entertaining conclusion of the thrilling True Blue K-9 series. I have loved every installment of the series I have read, and the fact that there are few books in between here and there that I have missed have had no effect on the enjoyment of the stories or keeping up with the series.
Detective Bradley McGregor finally gets his story, I have been anticipating this one, as Bradley and his little sister were in the middle of the continuing suspense plot that ran through the series.
Bradley is a true hero, a person who is easy to admire and look up to. The way he raised his sister as just a child himself, the way he has handled himself throughout the difficult circumstances he has faced, he stands out with his steadfast character, his kindness, his generosity, his work ethics, his perseverance, and his faith the foundations of his fiber. And that so making Sasha Eastman his perfect destiny, soulmate, partner - whatever you want to call it, cause they share a lot of same attributes, as well as tragic life experiences.
The suspense and deadly stalker kept the story on the edge. A couple of times Sasha's own actions put her in danger. There are two entwined suspense plots working on in this tale, and both of them get solved, questions are answered and cases wrapped up with the help of the whole unit.
I have delighted in this multi-author series, in the sharp and vivid suspense, in the K-9 dogs and their bond with their partners, in the love stories that have developed, and the growth in their faith that many of the characters have experienced. Each book has delivered a fresh, unique tale that perfectly fits into the bigger picture of the series. A delight to recommend this story and the whole package the True Blue K-9 Unit makes

Sasha is being stalked by her mothers killer, thing is he's dead. Detective Bradley witnesses an attempt at Sasha's life and now is helping her figure out who this guy is and keep her protected. On the side he is working on a seven month case that eerily close to something that is close to him and he's on a mission to figure out who is behind it and finally get some justice.

There is so much going around. First of all this book is a series can be done as a stand alone. I feel like I've been on and off with reading this series, when I happen to come across it I read it. To make things clear though this book is book eight it does well as a stand alone as well I don't feel like a missed anything. I loved getting to know these characters and their back stories. Both went though a similar hardship with the death of a family member and things that come with that. You can't help but to want these two to find their happily ever after. I love that there was so much going on to keep me the reader on my toes. I loved that there was never a dull moment and that Sasha was a resourceful women who when faced with a challenge or in danger can think on her toes. Overall great book I really enjoyed it.

Sasha Eastman is a journalist who reports on positive uplifting stories for a local station and someone wants her dead. This someone though looks exactly like the man who murdered her mother years ago a man who was shot at the scene and died. Sasha vows to find him and find out why he wants her out of the way.

Detective Bradley McGregor and his K-9 partner King stop at a local shop and soon find themselves on the hunt for a shooter and protectors of a frantic young woman. Bradley understands how this woman Sasha feels, as he is also a victim of the murder of his parents. He vows to protect her while trying to find her killer.

Bradley also is also on a mission to find a copycat killer, one who has killed the parents of a young girl, the same way his parents were murdered. As Bradley and Sasha become closer, she is intrigued by the unsolved murder and offers to help however she can. Will she be able to help or will Sasha just find herself in more trouble?

This story was a fast-paced suspense novel with two mysteries. Although the unsolved murder is from a previous book in the series, the author Shirlee McCoy does an excellent job of filling in the back story for the reader. I loved the characters and all the supporting characters in the story and all the K-9 partners were very well written. This book has action, suspense, and sweet love story. I would like to thank author Shirlee McCoy, Harlequin Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book to review. It was a great read! All opinions expressed for this review are unbiased and entirely my own.

The last book from this series...so I'm super excited and soooo ready to get all the answers and this book totally delivered, it's a perfect ending. It has perfect amount of suspense and romance, perfect amount of sweetness and thrill, the twist and turns, the danger in every corner, yup it's a page-turner and once I read I just can't stop. I just want more and more, it's so sad it felt too fast for me, that it's finally over, I'm a big fan of the troops and their K-9 partner,

Totally recommended for everyone who's looking for a light suspense romance read and definitely a MUST-READ for Harlequin Love Inspired Suspense fans.

Although part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone story.. It's evident from the way things are written when referring to characters from other stories, but this doesn't affect the outcome of the story.

Although both Sasha and Bradley are standoffish when they first meet, based on past relationships and left stories, their lives and stories become intertwined. How the relationship progresses is a good read filled with just the right amount of suspense and romance.

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

“Delayed Justice”, by Shirlee McCoy is the 8th book in the True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn series. Sasha Eastman is a journalist who is being stalked by a deranged killer. Detective Bradley McGregor and his K-9 partner, King, are on hand when he tries to shoot Sasha. The detective makes it his responsibility to protect Sasha while he and his colleagues try to catch the stalker before he is successful. Sasha is sure she knows who he is or at least who he looks like, the man who killed her mother when she was 14 years old. But how could that be when that man was killed in a police shoot-out? Will Detective McGregor and King be able to protect Sasha and bring the killer to justice? This is a good, suspenseful story that shows the valiant work of the K-9 partners within the police department. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.

Delayed Justice by Shirlee McCoy was the thrilling conclusion to the True Blue K-9 Unit series based in Brooklyn.
I have really enjoyed this series. Each book had its own interesting plot and then you have the plot that was woven through the series.

Delayed Justice was K9 officer Bradley and his dog, King's story. Bradley was a child of the murdered couple. It gave you a sense of what it must have been like for him to deal with the suspicion that he might have been their killer. I really liked his character.

Sasha had her own issues when someone tries to killer and they look just like her mother's murderer from decades ago. How can that be possible when he is dead.

Shirlee did a great job tying up lose ends and including some of the characters from the entire series. YOu can read it as a standalone but I recommend reading the series.

I received this book from Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review.
