An Amish Holiday Courtship is the 4th book in the Hickory Grove series, but I had no trouble enjoying this romance without reading the previous stories. Ginger Stutzman is an extremely attractive woman who has been walking out with several different Amish men, trying to decide who she wants to spend her life with. She has her sights set on the new Amish bachelor in town, Joe, but her family are not happy about that. Eli Kutz is a widower several years her senior. When the woman who has been his nanny moves to another district to get married, he asks Ginger if she would like to become his nanny. She continues to pursue Joe, but finds herself enjoying Eli's and his children's company more every day. As Christmas gets closer, Ginger begins planning family activities and looking forward to spending time with Eli and his family. Will romance be a Christmas present for Eli and Ginger this season?

This was an enjoyable Amish romance, although I wasn't crazy about Ginger at the beginning of the book. She seemed a bit stuck on herself at the beginning and couldn't understand how Joe wasn't falling all over her. She was also blind to Joe's behaviour and attitude, and made excuses for him. Eli, I loved. He was such a great father to his four children and tried hard to do all he could to make things easier on Ginger. I was glad that Ginger changed as the story went forward and she became nicer and more caring toward others. I liked the slow developing romance, as well as the angst and roadblocks they had to get over to come together in the end. I loved Ginger's family and her mother's interference does save the day. Of course whenever there are children in a book, I find they are my favourite characters and always make me smile. This is a sweet Christmas romance, a bit predictable, but enjoyable all the same.

This is another lovely, heartwarming Amish romance by this talented author - a brilliant story to escape into during these troubled times.

Ginger Stutzman is twenty-five and feels the need to settle down, if only she can find the man she'll love marrying. She thinks it may be recent newcomer, and he seems interested in her but keeps flirting with others, too. She hadn't thought about widower Eli Kutz as a potential suitor but when she spends time looking after his four children whilst he's out working, she grows to care for them all. However, he thinks he's too old for her, especially as he already has four children. As Christmas approaches will they find love or is this just a holiday romance?

Such a moving story and a delightful read! I thoroughly enjoyed this story, such a brilliant developing romance, complete with the necessary but unwanted hurdles blocking their way. Thank goodness Ginger's Mum interfered, is all I can say! This is a great story to escape into with a fantastic sense of community, family values, faith and trust in God as well as a beautiful romance.

Thank you to Harlequin and NetGalley for my copy of this book which I have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed.

A fun, flirty, warm, and heartening tale of falling in love and learning what your heart truly wants.
Not everything that sparkles is gold, that is a hard lesson Ginger Stutzman has to learn while searching for a mate and her destiny. Ginger is a free-spirited Amish woman, I liked how she was unabashedly herself despite everyone trying to put her in her place. She might come off as flirty and too joyful for some, but she is a good-hearted young woman, and her work with Eli Kutz’s children proves it.
The characters in the story are drawn with vivid details, their growth and development is a natural part of the tale that flows and blooms effortlessly. Ginger has valuable life-lessons to learn, nothing is given, and eventually, she needs some motherly guidance to open up her eyes if not her heart.
This story has a bit different kind of tune than most of the Amish books I have read, yet I enjoyed it. It has a perfect amount of Christmas spirit, Amish traditions, and troubles of the heart to build up an entertaining Christmas tale. It a sweet and clean story, with strong family ties and traditions, and as such can be comforting read during troubled times.
A well written, joyful, heartfelt, and cheery tale of everything that makes Christmas a special time of the year.
