This is a sexy contemporary romance, and this is the third book in the Miami Heat series. There is a lot of sexy time/adult bedroom moments in this book. This book is about two people that their families do not get a long falls in love. I love the characters and the storyline I really enjoyed. I love when books like this that has a good storyline, and it is not just about the sexy times. This book had a good storyline, and it also has drama. This is a quick and short read, but I enjoyed it. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Harlequin Dare) or author (J. Margot Critch) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review about how I feel about this book, and I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

I had no idea this was the final book in a series when I tried it! Turning Up the Heat was steamy, unfortunately I did not feel attached enough to the storyline to finish it. But I think someone looking for a super steamy, quick romance would enjoy this!

I really loved the Dare line. This book was steamy and a great one sitting read. I can't wait to read more from this author. I will be featuring this book in a recommendation podcast.

This was pretty solid for the most part. There were a lot of expected tropes, but I thought the author did a pretty good job of putting her own twist on them. When Tom was with Gemma he was awesome! I loved how they both encouraged and supported each other. Things didn’t go so well when Tom was on his own. I really wish the show down with his father had played out differently as well. His father’s utter disregard for Tom’s feelings also seemed out of character since one minute he’s portrayed as a cold unfeeling bastard and then in the next instant, he's a caring father? Make it make sense??? I really wanted to see Tom leave his father in a world of hurt and I wanted to see her step-mom crash and burn. I'm a huge believer of getting their just desserts and the rushed ending didn't deliver for me. So yeah. this ended up being just okay for me at the end of the day.

**Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing an e-arc in exchange for an honest review**

4/5 Stars

I really liked this book, I had such a great time reading it. It was short, steamy, and fun. This is the first book from this author that I've read, so I'm excited to read some of her backlist titles. The romance and the chemistry between the two characters were great and I loved every second of it. I really don't have anything negative to say, I recommend giving it a read.

Thanks to Netgalley and The publishers at Harlequin for a chance to read an ARC of Turning Up the Heat. This was a really quick and steamy romance that I really enjoyed. I loved the distillery aspect of the story and how it continued to play into their story. I wasn’t aware upon request that this was the third book in a series, so I do feel a little like I was thrown into a dynamic I wasn’t familiar with; however that is my own fault. The story does stand on its own though and I would like to go back and read the others as well. This is a very steamy open door romance.
