I love this book! I was drooling all over my iPad while reading this because the recipes are absolutely delicious and easy to prepare. I'm sure every strawberry lover would appreciate this! I already bookmarked two recipes and will make them soon. Excellent book.

Perfect timing with a cookbook full of recipes using strawberries. Enjoy this fruit, fresh or frozen for breakfast, salads, main dishes and desserts. Beautiful photos accompany each recipe with easy to follow directions and arranged in chapters for each meal. Also has a chapter on how to pick berries, make syrups, freezing and jams. A perfect gift. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This cookbook reflected my obsession for strawberries! Every recipe looks delicious and it's super easy to follow. One recipe that really stood out to me was the Strawberry Margarita, for it uses rum instead of tequila. I can not wait to try this! Highly recommend this book to strawberry lovers alike and also anyone who wants to explore the versatility of this low sugar, high in Vitamin C fruit.

As a cookbook collector and my love of strawberries, I was excited to get this cookbook to review. 45 Sweet and Savory recipes using strawberries are the star of this book. I made the Small-Batch Refrigerator Strawberry Jam and oh my goodness...so easy (3 ingredients) and so good! I won’t be able to go back to store bought strawberry jam again! I also made the Strawberry-Balsamic Dressing and it was delicious over salad. Homemade salad dressings are just so flavorful and healthier for you. This will be making a repeat appearance over strawberry season.

Other recipes I’m excited to try are: Sour Cream-Strawberry Waffles, Strawberry Orange Muffins and Strawberry Crumb Cake.

A beautiful little cookbook. I love the concept of concentrating on a single ingredient, and doing a deep dive on what can be made. A lovely mix of sweet and savoury dishes. The recipes are easy to follow, with cup measurements to conversions in book to reference. There is a little introduction to both the book and baking/cooking with an overview of ingredients, equipment and methods for those novice bakers/cooks.
The food photography was brilliant, but there doesn't seem to be a photo for each recipe. This doesn't bother me, but I know it is an expectation for many looking for cookbooks.

A surprise gluten free doughnut recipe was the highlight for me! I can't wait to test it out (alongside many other recipes!) when strawberry season really kicks in.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review. Honestly, it's hard to touch on anything that the other great reviews haven't already said. I requested this and the Blueberry Love edition, and I think that both are a duo worth recommending for foodies. There are some VERY unique ideas in both of these cookbooks, and some others that are exactly what you would expect. I really like the suggestions on how to get more strawberries in your cooking!

Yummy cover! Aptly named... who wouldn’t want a look at the recipes in this book. A whole book dedicated to strawberries in many different forms.

What did I like? It’d be better if we started with what I didn’t...Shorter list. Strawberries served with meat seemed a bit funny because I’ll be honest... I’ve never had it. The dessert recipes looked amazing! I’d love to make some of those cookies, or cakes. Highly appealing and it has some gorgeous pictures!

Would I recommend or buy? Yes to both. I bookmarked half the book to try. All of it appealed. If you love strawberries then you will love this book. I just planted twenty strawberry bushes, and I can’t wait.

Strawberry Love by Cynthia Graubart is a beautiful little cookbook full of decadent, mouth-watering recipes involving strawberries. Unlike some themed cookbooks, all forty-five recipes here actually do include strawberries in some form, whether fresh, baked, cooked, dried, or in a sauce, jam, or marinade. I have never come so close to drooling on a cookbook just based on photography. (Thank God I controlled myself–that would have been bad for the tablet I use for reading my advanced copy books.). I bookmarked pages just as much for the photographs as the recipes. This food sounds amazing.

All that to say, this is very much a decadent cookbook. There’s a fresh salad or two, a strawberry gazpacho, and several meat and seafood dishes that involve strawberry sauces or jams. There’s even a couple of mixed drink recipes and a shrub involving strawberry syrup. But the vast majority of the recipes are indulgent baked goods, from strawberry orange muffins to strawberry bread with pecans to skillet strawberry cobbler to two kinds of strawberry pie to strawberry creamsicles to strawberry cream-filled chocolate roll to gluten free strawberry doughnuts. (That last recipe was an exciting one-off find for me, in an otherwise dairy and gluten heavy cookbook!) I think the most common ingredients outside of the strawberries themselves are sugar, heavy cream, and flour. Perfect for indulgent treats.

Some of the recipes, like shortcakes and stacked meringue cakes and lattice-topped pies, are a little more complex than the others, with directions that spill onto a second page. Many other recipes seem more easily accessible. There’s some useful strawberry specific and general kitchen advice at the beginning of the book. (I’m excited to try dehydrating some strawberries in my oven, for instance.) And there was only one recipe that really caught my attention in a dubious way–I’m not sold on the idea of strawberry salsa on fish tacos. Strawberry gazpacho, maybe. But strawberries in salsa? On fish tacos? I just don’t know about that.

Strawberry Love is just a wonderful little cookbook for the treat-loving omnivore in your life (or for yourself, of course!). Even if, like me, you can’t eat most of the treats, it’s worth a read just to pore over the gorgeous photographs of each recipe. And I’m excited to try the few recipes that will meet or can be tweaked to meet my dietary restrictions, like Strawberry Mint Sorbet, Strawberry Shrub, Strawberry Onion Jam, or those previously mentioned gluten free doughnuts! This is a delightful recipe book for a strawberry fan. You will be amazed at the many amazing strawberry options. You will get tips on how to purchase proper strawberries, how to store strawberries, how to cut strawberries, as well as tips when working with fresh, frozen and dried strawberries. Other cooking and baking tips are included as are equipment needed. Some traditional recipes are found in this cookbook as are many recipes you may not have considered. Other recipes you may have considered before, but never knew what to do, but here you can with this book.

A wonderful cook book. I wanted to make a few of the recipes before I reviewed it. I made a handful of items from a pie to drinks and a few other desserts. Everything I made was very good. The drinks were all fabulous and could easily be made alcoholic or non alcoholic. The pie crust using freeze-dried strawberries was a very clever way to pack on the strawberry. All in all this was a good niche cookbook. I feel like it would definitely get more use in the summertime when strawberries are in season.

Very well executed, lovely photos and very bright. Does not fit an E-book format well but would look lovely as a hardback cookbook. Easy recipes to follow and one I would be happy to have in my kitchen on my cookbook shelf.

Wow, that luscious red will want you to try all the recipes. Good one for Valentines. The most amazing thing about the book is that every recipe has a picture. Instantly you can see how your dish is going to turn out. There is another book called Blueberry Love in this series. Very creative. You can use strawberry in so many ways.

Strawberries are my absolute favorite fruit so when this beauty was offered on NetGalley I grabbed it. It is full of fabulous-sounding recipes so that I could have strawberries for breakfast (coffee cake, danish, muffins, or waffles), lunch (gazpacho, hamburger sliders, strawberry, burrata and arugula salad) or dinner (pork chops, sautéed chicken breasts, or fish tacos) not to mention happy hour or dessert.

The recipes are simple and generally use ingredients I have in the house and they can be put together relatively quickly.

The book includes photos of most of the recipes as well as some general tips on dealing with strawberries. All in all a real winner here. Grade: B+

This cookbook does a great job at including kid-friendly, adults-(probably)-only, and DIY to everyone’s own tastes. Many of the recipes also have notes at the end for substitutions and other tips. It’s a great cookbook to give as a gift to new families or more established families who may need some new staples.

Strawberries are one of my favorite fruits, so I was so excited to read and review this cookbook filled solely with recipes for strawberries! Not only did it include delicious-looking dessert ideas, but also some savory ones, too (burgers! fish tacos!). I'm really looking forward to this summer when it's strawberry season and trying out all of these!

I love the idea of a concise cookbook focused on one favorite food—strawberries. And here it is! When the strawberry season rolls around, I flit from site to site, cookbook to cookbook, searching for recipes to try. And now, those recipes are all in one collection. With an array of relatable, simple, delicious dishes all in one place, I can cook straight through the strawberry harvest. From cobblers to crisps and salads and salsas, Cynthia's recipes are dishes I will prepare, not simply browse. I cannot wait to try the Creamsicles, and I look forward to Blueberry Love also! I adore strawberries - they are my favourite fruit, but often I admit I don't really 'use' them for anything, I tend to just gobble them up as they are. This book has given me ideas for switching it up and making more out of the humble summer berry.
I plan on buying strawberries in season and keeping some in the freezer, as I prefer to buy produce in season, and this way using them for some of the recipes in the book.
There are ideas for cakes, desserts like ice cream and even salads with the tasty red berry.
Hopefully I'll even manage to grow some in my garden!

I love strawberries, and this cookbook offers more reasons to love this delectable fruit! I enjoyed the jams and sauces to season different cuts of meat and enhance the flavors. There's also drinks to try. Beautiful photos with much detail. This book does have a lot of recipes using flour and sugar, so be cautious of that if you avoid flour and sugar. Otherwise, a recommended book to enhance a love for all things strawberries, including tips such as types of strawberries and best picking times.

I liked the recipes in the book from strawberry shortcake, trifle, and strawberry smoothie bowl. Recipes can sometimes seem like they are all the same but for me it is the quick history lesson of strawberries and the helpful tips and tricks that really sell this book for me. I am not a big fruit lover but with the tips of how to store, when to pick, and how to freeze strawberries I think I will began to try and eat them more and incorporate into more meals.
