I absolutely adored this book, Meghan always writes the best romantic comedies! Luna signs up her brother Caden to The Wedding Game to try to win his dream wedding although he has some reluctance to going on the show she finally wins him over.

Alec is a divorce lawyer that is jaded when it comes to love, has a run in with Luna and they are enemies. I will not say anymore just you need to read this book!

This book is not just a typical rom-com — it’s a lot more! But you have to get to the point where it starts to change, so please hang on to the book!!
In true Meghan Quinn fashion she gives us hilarious laughter and full out sobbing from one minute to the other! This was a fun read, not a quick one, but also very emotional! I adored Luna and her family , as well as Alec and his family. Also how Alec turned around.
The chemistry was palpable!! The emotions high and raw, and the laughter was a given!!!

Meghan Quinn's humor is all throughout this book. One thing I love about her writing style is she really gets the reader invested in her couples. I wanted Luna and Alex to get their HEA from the moment they met. There were definitely sparks and they had trouble but I adored their story.

For anyone who follows my reviews, y'all know Meghan is another author where I will read anything she writes. They may not always be 5 star reads for me, but I love her writing style and won't not ever read one of her books.

Meghan is also a go-to for me when it comes to rom-coms so grabbing The Wedding Game was an obvious choice. And she did not let me down.

I love the concept behind this story. The Wedding game is actually a show on a DIY network that our characters, Luna and Alec find themselves a part of. They are each helping their brothers create their dream wedding in hopes of winning a penthouse in NYC.

Luna is die-hard crafter and a very good one. She had to deceive her brother into participating because with her abilities, she felt they were a shoe-in. I loved the dynamics between Luna and her brother. It was not only super cute, but extremely beautiful.

Alec is a divorce attorney. He no longer believes in love, let alone marriage. He brother all but begs him to help him out and Alec sees this as an opportunity to fix their relationship.

I enjoyed everything about this book. From the romance, to the family dynamics, to the interactions between everyone. Meghan really knows how to mix the humor with the romance to make it feel natural and neither aspect overpowers the other.

I highly recommend this to any romance lover to read. But if you truly enjoy a good laugh while reading, this is definitely the book for you.

What a fun story! The Wedding Game by Meghan Quinn is a laugh-out loud, slow burn romance that had me smiling ear to ear while reading. The storyline was unique and Alec and Luna were amazing characters! This enemies to lovers romance brought it all...fun, flirtiness, and family!

There is nothing better for the soul than a good Rom-Com and Meghan Quinn serves one up in spades. Alec and Luna are the perfect blend of funny and sexy.

The Wedding Game is a very fun read full of bizarre moments and wonderful characters. It centers around a reality TV show that observes three couples who are planning their wedding. It's a competition with a great prize at the end for one couple which creates a competitive environment that leads to many interesting situations. The two main characters, Luna and Alec, are not the competing couples. Luna's brother is trying to win for her brother and his fiancé and Alec is on team with his brother.

Luna is a talented young woman who knows what she is doing when it comes to crafts. She is creative and good with her hands. More than anything, she loves her brother and is willing to do anything to make sure het gets the wedding of his dreams. Alec is a successful lawyer who has some demons from his past. He is not good with relationships, not even those with his family. The Wedding Game is a chance for him to get closer to his younger brother again.

Overall, this was a nice easy read. There were few steamy moments, but the book in general is more swoony than steamy. It is a bit of a slow burn, the romance doesn't develop until later down the storyline. It's a cute fun story to be honest, a bit dragging on at times, but I would still recommend it if you are looking for something chill. Not too much drama, just a lots of great moments that made me laugh out loud.

I had so many giggles while reading The Wedding Game (thank you Meghan for them 😜).

I firmly believe Luna is my soul sister....I’m a craft HOARDER....will craft anything!!! Alec.....gah......!!!

Don’t get me wrong.....even with the giggles there is a little heartbreak....but in true Meghan fashion....she fixes my heart!!!

I really enjoyed reading the Wedding Game. I did not read the blurb so I did not know what to expect. I love Meghan Quinn’s books. Her books always suck me in and I love the characters she introduces us to.
In The Wedding Game, Luna Moon 😉 signs up for the game to support her brother and his fiancé into winning the Manhattan Penthouse so that they could stay closer to her. The relationship between Luna and Cohen is so endearing and I love their family bond… Declan and Cohen are such an amazing couple and I was rooting for them to win!
Alec and Thad are brothers and grew up in a dysfunctional family… Alec was always there for Thad. Now , Alec is a hot shot divorce lawyer who is workaholic…he owes his bro big time and what better way than taking part in the Wedding Game for his brother and his fiancée.
Who will win the Wedding Game?
I count on MQ to keep me giggling and still give me the hand on chest, heavy sigh swoon, and The Wedding Game did not disappoint! Alec’s relationship with his mum… got me so emotional… I felt for him.
Trust me when I say that Meghan Quinn is a fantastic author to read and follow, she can always pop a smile on your face with her hilarious and heart achingly excellent books.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was witty and well done. Alec and Lina were so funny. Both in there own way.... and their siblings were also on point. This book was about a DIY wedding game to try and be voted most favorite couple and win a dream Apt in NYC. So funny, the rule of the game the challenges and the contestants..... made the book. Planning weddings and falling in love, all wrapped into one book. Fun read!

This was a decent read. I'm a big Meghan Quinn fan, so I knew what to expect in terms of graphic sex, vulgarity, crude humor, etc. Honestly, that rarely bothers me and if you've read her before you'll know what to expect. A lot of people have been complaining about that in their reviews, so I just wanted to give that a quick mention.

So the good stuff...
The concept was fun and unique. The reality TV show concept isn't new to this genre, but I haven't seen one that centers around planning a wedding on a budget and so I thought that was an interesting and different aspect. The situations that happened while they were doing the competitions were pretty hilarious. I mean Helen? Come on. That woman was ridiculous.

I really liked Alec. Like a lot. He was completely misunderstood and his obvious desperation to get back into his brother's good graces was heartwarming as much as it was heartbreaking. I think he got a lot of flack from every person in this book and not one person realized how hard he was trying. I think Naomi was the closest to being that person, but I felt like everyone misunderstood him. Even ultimately Luna, which was disappointing.

The not so great stuff.

I honestly didn't like many of the other characters. I liked them all okay for most of the book, but I felt like their true colors came out at the end. All I could picture was Alec standing there watching everyone as they walked away and it broke my heart. The way every single person treated him was absolutely awful and he didn't deserve that. The punishment in no way, shape, or form fit the crime and I was pretty disappointed with that. Honestly, I barely even see the crime he DID commit.

Luna was someone I liked at first. I thought she was fun and quirky and I liked how she was helping Alec. It was fun to see their relationship grow into what it was and I felt like it was fairly realistic. Again though, the conflict came and I just lost some respect for her. What she said and how she handled the situation was almost too much for me to forgive. Most of what happened was her fault and I don't think she appropriately groveled...or groveled at all really. I DID like that Alec even pointed out her fault in the situation, but I don't like that she barely acknowledged her hand in it.

Like some other people mentioned, the dialogue got a little cheesy between Luna and Alec. It was weird because it just didn't fit with their characters. Usually I have zero issue with the dialogue in her books, but this one was just a little too reminiscent of a Hallmark movie. All the other dialogue was fine, it was just Luna and Alec that were a bit much.

Overall, I was a little disappointed in this one. I liked it and it wasn't a chore to get through, but I definitely had some moments that had me sitting there like, "wtf?! NO!".

Meghan has the best ability to take a rom com and make you feel all kinds of emotions with it.
The premise of this story was hilarious. The couples compete on the Wedding Game were hysterical and the situations they wind up in had me laughing out loud. The characters do the most bonkers things but for some reason in Meghan's books, they seem completely logical.
Luna and Alec go from ferocious competitors to unlikely friends. I enjoyed watching their relationship progress. Alec really turned it around and his character growth was really satisfying to watch.
And honestly, the secondary characters in this book were all so different and quirky and I feel like you were really able to get to know them also. I listened to this story on audio and the narration was so perfect.

Ahhhh Meghan Quinn, you devil you, I just adored this audiobook! Quinn starts out with a bit of a raunchier banter than normal, I loved this audiobook. I feel like Quinn ups her game time and time again. After the first 30 minutes the raunch calmed down and we went right into Quinn’s signature style with sweet meeting heat with fun all sprinkled on top. I loved watching the crafting genius and the jaded divorce lawyer battle it out in a game of wedded bliss via crafting. This wedding Game was just super fun! I ate it up!

Lauren Sweet and Tor Thom did a subperb job! Sweet was amazing. She was able to be indignite and light and fun. Then she’d turn on the charm or flip it and she’s be this crazed crafty-woman full of a repugnant and precarious woman set on winning and nothing else… in the beginning. Sweet totally channeled that. I don’t know how but she did and I FELT IT! Tor Thom was beyond perfection. He pulled off that cocky and cockamamie lawyer that barely believes in what he’s playing for. There could not have been two better narrators! Perfect, perfect job.

You are in for a treat with this funny, sweet and swoony story from Meghan Quinn.

This story is going to pull you in like a macrame rope and make your heart explode with goodness like a well planned glitter bomb!

This is the story of Alec and Luna. This is the story of rivalries and stiff competition. This is also a story of family dynamics and mending fences.

Luna is a crafting queen, she is the epitome of a #Procraftinator and she decided to enter her brother and his fiance into the newest DIY show The Wedding Game. She is in it to win it for him.  I loved Luna and Cohen's relationship! A true brother/sister bond and Luna will fight tooth and glue gun to get her brother the wedding of their dreams. (Or is it her dreams?)

Alec has closed himself off from his dysfunctional parents and has slowly drifted away from his brother.  I absolutely loved Thad's dramatics and how he pulls Alec in to participate with him on the show.

The chemistry between Alec and Luna was wicked hot and it was so swoony to read their interactions and how they tried to separate their budding relationship from the show was so finely written it seemed so real. I admired how Ms. Quinn was able to tap into Alec's feelings and make him even more of a hero.

If you are looking for a quintessential story from Ms. Meghan Quinn, look no further!

I love the humor that Meghan Quinn brings to her novels. She is an author that can always make me laugh. With The Wedding Games I found myself laughing throughout the whole book. I enjoyed the story and could see the potential in the story unfortunately it did fall a little flat. For me this book seemed more story driven when I was craving more about the characters. The author gave the reader a lot of description about the wedding game and all the details that went into the game but the character developed was lacking. I just wanted more about the characters. I enjoyed the story but was missing that character development.

The Wedding Game was a fun lighthearted read. This book was unputdownable. Meghan Quinn has a unique way of telling a story. She had me laughing and loving these characters. Luna and Alec couldn’t be more different. The banter and flirting that went on had me glued to my kindle.

This was a fun opposites attract romcom you won’t be able to put down. Must read!

HJ Top Pick!

I loved The Wedding Game, as with all her books Meghan Quinn knows just what to do to have her reader hooked and wanting more, this was the type of book that you could see the entire novel play out in your mind as of it were a movie. One of the things that I love most about Quinn’s books is that all her character have such amazing realness to them and that she is such an inclusive writer. I loved that Luna’s brother was gay but not the stereotypical version of this over the top flamboyant gay, in fact it was Alec's brother Thad who was more the flamboyant groom.

Luna and Alec definitely have a slow burn romance but once they finally get over their insta hate they were absolutely perfect. I loved that Luna was willing to help Alec with baking the wedding cake to help repair his relationship with Thad even though they were competition, this just showed that she was a genuinely nice person. It was from this one act that we get to see Alec soften and watch him learn to open himself to love and being loved. This was not a very angsty read but I did have it’s moments of what is going to happen. One of the biggest themes in the book was family and boy did both Luna and Alec have their share of family drama, however I like the way things got resolved on both ends.

The Wedding Games was the perfect laugh out loud enemies to lovers romcom that had me rooting for both teams to win the ultimate prize, love. This is definitely one I would recommend reading as with all her books Ms. Quinn has delivered a brilliant read.

The Wedding Game by Meghan Quinn was a Romance Book Explosion-com in her typical style. It was filled with fun, laughs and heart felt emotion that we have come to love from her books. She will leave you smiling, and happy.

Luna is creative, fun loving and loves her brother. She wants to give him the best wedding, and perfect start for his life with his partner.
Alec is a lawyer, attractive and has drifted away from his family, namely his brother, that he loved and help raise.

The two end up on a reality show, called The Wedding Game, where they complete for a wedding and a great apartment. The story takes you through all the parts of the wedding, but with a twist. You will enjoy many fun, laughable moments as these weddings get put together. As Luna and Alec interact, there is a special bond that begins to form. There is also a lot of chemistry!

As the story progresses, there are some emotions and angst thrown in. This book was a fun rom-com that will leaving you loving Luna and Alec and of course, Meghan Quinn.
