A beautiful kids book, with exceptional illustrations! I highly recommend for all of the little children in your life.

Gorgeous illustrations and decent poetry. However, I think children will be confused by changing the names of Adam and Eve. I would have liked to have seen more aspects of God’s character, not just Creator. Jesus and salvation are also integral to God's character. Overall, the book is nice but will need some additional teaching to fill in holes in the theology.

I gratefully received an ARC from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.

This is a beautifully written tale of the Gospel from Genesis through the Gospels. Beautiful illustrations will attract and hold your children's attention while you read the poetic prose to them. It's a story that both children and adults will enjoy as they learn about the Marvelous Maker of the world.

I like the text in this children’s book, as it rhymes.

I liked the illustrations.

Would likely be a good addition to our church library.

Through rhymes, this book tells the story of Creation and Fall in Genesis 1-3, and then jumps to the need for Jesus's sacrifice on the cross. The illustrations are very bright and vivid, and I loved seeing the details of Bible references hidden on each page. I could see that being really fun for kids to find and then look up the reference in their Bible. The book is presented as a "parable" and Adam and Eve are depicted as a young boy and girl named Adamus and Genevieve. I personally found the name change to be a bit distracting, and feel the book would have been better if this decision hadn't been made. Overall, it was a good book to read-aloud, although a couple of the rhymes did feel a bit forced.

Beautiful art and poetry conveying the gospel message. I appreciated that it was simple but also engaging for the tiny humans.

Great illustrations and the intention of the book is good. It is a paraphrase intended for kids and the sentences rhyme, which helps develop children's skills. This book doesn't follow the bible story; instead, it is based on Scripture and develops an alternative storyline wherein Adamus and Genevive (yes, I would have preferred to keep the original names) fall and are redeemed by Maker (a.k.a. Jesus). I liked that it shows the big picture for kids and it is a good way to introduce kids very, very early, to the bible story.

I love nearly everything about this book! The illustrations are captivating - I especially like the hidden Bible verses to reference on each page. I love the rhythm of the words - my child listens to rhyming books best and this book is written in sweet rhymes. I also love seeing the redemption story included with the creation story, because as a small child I don't think I ever thought of them as being connected until I got older.

I DON'T, however, like that the names of Adam and Eve were changed to Adamus and Genevieve. I think it could definitely cause children to be confused and in the world we live in that is the last thing our children need. If not for the name changing I would've given this book five stars and absolutely would've purchased it for my child.

I was able to preview this book on NetGalley for an honest review. Thank you B&H and NetGalley for the opportunity to do so!

A cleverly written parable of the great creation and redemption story in rhyme.

Read this book a few times and a young child will understand, retain and even memorise the words! More importantly, it's a great tool for instilling wonderful truths in a child's mind and spirit.

I wish Adam and Eve's names were not changed though as it may cause some confusion. Adults may need to explain and refer to the first couple's actual names in the bible.

The illustrations are beautiful, with stunning and colourful spreads that appeals even to this almost-senior adult with an artist's heart.

if not for the name-changing, I would have given this book five stars.

I had such high hopes for this book due to the beautiful illustrations on the cover and synopsis, however, have some concerns around it. I was completely thrown by the renaming of Adam and Eve to Adamus and Genevieve as well as the fact that the book only refers to God as maker. While God is the Maker of the world, he is so much more than that. I really enjoyed the whimsical illustrations and rhyming verse, however, I worry that the story would be too confusing for young children to be able to discern what elements are based on Biblical knowledge and what are added-in aspects of the story.

This is a really cute children's book that talks about creation, the gospel and Jesus. I think this a really great start to discussing with children about God and all He has done. It puts Genesis and the gospel as a whole into a easier way to understand and has some really beautiful illustrations throughout.

Due to a difference or beliefs and unsureness of the names used I am not finishing this since I read childrens books to see if I can recommend them to my siblings.

The Marvelous Maker was a beautiful retelling of the story of the fall and our posture towards a loving creator that aims for reconciliation. I enjoyed sharing this book with my daughter and talking through the story as we read. The beautiful illustrations created a wonderful foundation for her to enjoy the story.

Genesis made simple, this is what I thought of the book. When I was little, my teachers or Sunday School teachers encourage me to remember the creation week. What did God do from day one to day six.

In this book, the author tell the most important story of the Bible. Human's nature made the first pair sinned. And that sin had to be paid in full, in order to bring back God's grace into this world. The ultimate sacrifice must be done, and He did.

Illustrated prettily, the book mesmerized me. This is where I am supposed to live! Moreover, God enables me to live this way by His grace. Such a beautiful reminder to all of us.

I loved the illustrations and the retelling of the Gospel in a way kids could understand. I would have kept Adam and Eve’s names the same. I thought the poetry flowed well!

This is an interesting way to tell kids about Jesus Christ and what He did for us. It has a beautiful prose and illustrations. This book also mentions how Jesus sees us and how He will help us in life by having a relationship with Him. It also has a Parent Connection in the back of the book that could be used for Family Devotions and in teaching kids about Jesus. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book. (This review is also on GoodReads.)

"Fear not," He said, "I'll be with you.
Believe in Me with all you do.
Let every heart and life make room
for surely I will come back soon."

And when the marvelous Maker stood,
the children knew that He was good.
They raised their hands to Him in love
and praised the Maker from above.

With a whimsical prose, this is a unique way to share the story of creation with your children. The story of creation is good and when Satan comes to destroy, the wording can be difficult to comprehend. However, I appreciate these words "Who is this Maker? Does He try to say that He can rule your lives?" It is a question that gets to the heart of the gospel. The opportunities of the gospel is magical and I highly recommend.

A special thank you to B&H Publishing Group and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

Thank you to the publishing team and the author for the book.

I love this amazing picture book so much!

It's time to be grateful about so many things that we get to enjoy today. Love the creations.

We tend to forget how amazing the beautiful earth is and yes, we as human, need to feel this, see this and actually imbibe this quality in us. Yes, time to learn once again with kids that we need to learn to see things again, not from the 'adult-criticising' ways. Yes, we need to appreciate what we see everyday. Let's think twice while reading this book.

I love the art so much! It made all the difference!

Thank you so much for this wonderful book.
