Loved this. Can’t wait to continue reading and will definitely be purchasing a copy.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this excerpt.

I have gotten a EXERPT of A vow so bold and deadly that includes the FIRST FOUR CHAPTERS of the book from Netgalley!

Three words... I need more. I’m eagerly anticipating the full release of A vow so bold and deadly. I will admit that when I requested this book on netgalley I thought that I was going to get to read the full book. Turns out it was just a sampler, though it’s still better then nothing! Lia Mara is struggling with her position on the crown. Rhen is somewhat confused on what to do. Harper is back with it and gaining strength. Grey is learning more magic. Oh wow I could read about all these characters forever.

I can’t wait for the release date of this book.

read sampler: 9/27/2020

I'm so sad this is only a sampler. I'm glad they gave us all four character's points of view for this because clearly Rhen is going through a lot of turmoil and everyone loves Grey. And the whole book should end with Rhen apologizing and ruling peacefully together!

Yay happy endings!

But seriously, I loved Curse and Heart and I know Vow is probably going to hurt to read. Based off this sampler, we're in for a journey physically (war, magic) and psychologically. I can't wait to see what Brigid does for these books and how these stories are going to end. Hopefully, it's a happy ending!

I’m eagerly anticipating A Vow So Bold and Deadly, so I jumped at the chance to read an early excerpt. Upon opening it, I loved seeing the gorgeous world map. Revisiting each of our four main characters and their perspectives, this excerpt was short and sweet. I’m so excited to return to Emberfall and embark on the epic conclusion that has been steadily building since book one. While there’s no shortage of predictions in the book community about how this series will end, I think Bridget Kemmerer will find a way to create a satisfying ending that no one saw coming. While I’m not eager for the end of the Cursebreakers series, I can’t wait for January to see how everything plays out with Rhen, Harper, Grey, and Lia Mara! A Vow So Bold and Deadly releases on January 12, 2020. Thank you to Bridget Kemmerer, Bloomsbury YA, and Netgalley for a free excerpt in exchange for honest feedback.

OMG. I am so excited to read the full book. I loved the second book, probably even more than the first, and I'm sooooo eager to read how it all ends.

I just read the first four chapter’s and my heart is already broken. I can't believe I've to wait 'till next year to read the full book!

Rhen seems like he wants to change which I appreciate but I really don't think I can love him again. It's too much.
Lia Mara is struggling with her new position as queen. People's are questioning her ability to be a proper queen.
Harper is still confused about Rhen and his actions.
And 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐲..!! Oh, can I read forever about him please???

You know what? I'm done with 2020. 𝐈 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐰!

Had no clue this was a sampler and it was a total tease. We get a short glimpse into how our characters are doing after the cliffhanger we were left with after book two. I’m hoping for a somewhat happy ending for poor Rhen.

I was pretty disappointed because it doesn't say anywhere that this a short sampler, or an excerpt. I thought I was lucky and I was wrong which sucks.

I don't remember much of the last book but the ending but the second book was a letdown for me as it went somewhere I did not expect or really enjoy.

But Harper seemed to have more of her steel back which is something that was missing from the second book. I got more from her in that chapter than I did in the whole second book.

The whole story seems like two brothers fighting as children over their game play, which I think is kind of the point they are just older now. I am excited to see where the rest of the story goes though.

Oh man, what a tease! ESPECIALLY the way the excerpt ended. This is only fueling my excitement for this book to come out in January. I love that this series is told from multiple perspectives - and there is something about this series that makes me lose track of time when I am reading. I am so pumped for this book!

*This review is for a four-chapter sampler rather than the entire book.*

The first two books in this trilogy introduced characters and stories that are familiar to audiences in an unfamiliar way. A magical retelling of Beauty and the Beast, without the fairytale ending.

At the end of the second book, Harper and Rhen are in a rough place, Harper having helped Grey, Rhen’s long lost brother. The book was split perspective, following Harper and Rhen in Emberfell and Grey and Lia Mara in Shyl Shallow. These groups were on entirely different paths.

The first book sets it up to follow the fairy tale pretty close, with Rhen being the Beast and Harper being the Beauty. Throughout the second book, these roles were a little muddled and we can’t really tell if Rhen is the Beast or maybe Gaston?

This preview gives us a glimpse into each of the characters. Grey and Lia Mara are trying to fall into their new roles and Harper and Rhen are trying to fall back to each other. This sampler starts the tensions high, and I can’t wait to read what comes next.

I really love this serie so far and I tough this was the full arc as it wasn't writing sample. Should have know that I wouldn't be lucky to be automatically approve for the full one. Please I need to read the full book. Even if I'm sure I will have to wait for the full one. Can't wait.

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Ugh, chapter samplers kill me on this website! Please label them as such because this wasn't. Now after diving into the few chapters of this book, I'm intrigued enough to want to read the rest of it. Sadly, I don't have that option at the moment. Nor do I think I will be given the full ARC either since that doesn't tend to happen whenever I get a sampler version.

I guess I will have to wait until this book gets published. Le sigh.

This excerpt was not enough! I need the rest of the book asap. I loved the first book in the series and recommended it to everyone I knew that liked to read. The second book was even better. And now having read this excerpt, I know that the author will not disappoint. I cannot wait to get my hands on the rest of the book. January cannot come soon enough. Brigid Kemmerer can do no wrong in my book.
Thank you the NetGalley and publishers for providing me with this excerpt.

This excerpt was far too short! I can't wait to read the full book especially since we will have chapters from the perspectives of all four narrators from the previous two books!

Title - A Vow So Bold and Deadly

Author - Brigid Kemmerer

Genre - Fantasy

I have read the first two books and its been a lot many months now that I'm yet waiting for the third novel to come out. When I realised that an excerpt is available, it didn't take me long to request it and I was blown away. We see a chapter of each character and one can deduce that the tensions have started rising among the characters and the readers will soon be thrown into action. Looking forward to the release of the book.

I haven’t read any of the other Cursebreaker books and I had absolutely no idea what to expect. After reading those four chapters I fell in love with not only the story but also the characters. The chapters are told in first person through the eyes of Grey, Rhen, Harper and Lia Mara. I find that this helps me to see and feel the same things they do, instead of just being told what is happening.

This preview has me so intrigued to what is going to happen next especially with that cliff hanger. I was definitely convinced to order the two previous books so I can catch up for when my preordered A Vow So Bold And Deadly is released.

I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.

Please kind people at Bloomsbury, Brigid Kemmerer, and any others, may I please have more of this book now?

One one my favorite parts of Brigid Kemmerer's A Curse So Dark and Lonely series is that she tells every side of the story. There is no one that is 100% evil (well perhaps Lilith, but her name literally means "Night Monster", so no one should be surprised when she's evil incarnate).

This except was amazing. I love how, within only a few pages, Brigid Kemmerer is able to bring you right back into the world while giving you all of the backstory you will need to know without it sounding like a history lesson. She also does a wonderful job giving all four character's their own unique voices. I'm sure that even if the chapter header didn't indicate which character's POV, that it would only take a few lines to figure it out.

This Excerpt has stirred up the kindling embers of my passion for this book and flamed them into a roaring fire.

I Cannot wait for the rest of this book to come out. Thank you for the opportunity to read the first bit of it.
