This was only an excerpt so I cannot write a full review yet. I will definitely be reading this as soon as I get my hands on it. I love the series and can't wait for this final book to arrive. If possible, I will update this rating after I read the full book. As it is my first NetGalley read, I mistakenly downloaded an excerpt. |
I’m so excited for the conclusion to this series. Kemmerer has created a fresh new twist on a classic story. |
A Vow So Bold and Deadly is the third and the final book in the Cursebreakers series by Brigid Kemmerer, following all four of our previous POV characters as they head towards that inevitable conclusion that we’ve been dreading. The best thing about the series is that it as that addictive, page-turner plot. I just couldn't keep it down! A Vow So Bold and Deadly is simply amazing, with all these unexpected twists and suspense, I can say for sure that it definitely kept me on my toes! I read this book in one sitting. I was glued to the page, always eager to see what was going to happen next. This book was definitely an amazing experience! |
I can not wait to read this book. I already know from the excerpt that I will be giving it 5 stars! Such an awesome series. |
This excerpt was nowhere near enough. At all. It was all nice and slow and just easing into the story, when the last page of the excerpt really went, BOOOM you thought, girl? I'm really scared about Rhen because oh God he doesn't know about Grey's abilities, and Grey's not telling him, and these two fools are going to destroy the world because of miscommunication. Its just so sad seeing Harper and Rhen together right now with Harper somewhat scared of Rhen. I don't like this. He needs to be fixed. He needs to go back to what he was. Or eveolve into somehting better, I don't particularly care. Grey and Lia....well what do I even say? I just love them. But this excerpt was so ominous on that front. It seems like they're growing apart in the wake of Lia's rule. And I don't like that either. This is horrible. I for one, cannot wait to read the rest of this book! |

This sample was not enough, I wanted to read more! Like all things, sadly, it is the end to a pretty great series. I’m not going to lie and say this series was prefect. Book one was amazing, so much that I read it really fast. I was extremely excited for book two and was disappointed. It felt like an entirely different series and left me a bit confused. So in reading this teaser I didn’t know what to expect but I kept an open mind. To start, I really enjoyed having Harper and Rhen back as POV characters. I believe it is why I was completely let down when I read A Heart So Fierce and Broken. I couldn’t recognize the character I loved so much and I missed their perspective greatly. Having them back into the mix of the story was a nice surprise! I can’t wait to see what else this book as to offer! |

This small sample brought me right back into the world of Emberfall. I didn't remember much from this series before the sampler, but now I feel like I can jump right in again and finally start the finale to this amazing series. I loved hearing from all four of the narrators in the sample. I'm a huge fan of Rhen, and I really missed his narration in the second book. Although Ali Mara wasn't my favorite narrator, I'm looking forward to these two sides fighting for control of Emberfall. The setup is amazing and all I want to do now is read the book! Seriously, give me the book now please. I cannot wait another six days. |
The conclusion to an amazing series. This book sounds epic and is full of characters I adore. I am on the edge of my seat waiting for this book to finally come out so I can see what happens in this story I've fallen in love with! The teaser wasn't enough, I need more! |

I loved the first two books in the Cursebreakes series, and I can't wait to sink my teeth into the third and final installment. The excerpt set the stage for all the excitement the finale promises - a final battle between brothers, a lurking evil that operates from the shadows, and the jeopardy that threatens every character in the kingdoms of Emberfall, Syhl Shallow, and beyond. I loved having Harper and Rhen back as POV characters, having missed their perspective greatly in A Heart So Fierce and Broken. I'm excited for A Vow So Bold and Deadly to knit together all four main characters' viewpoints and to bring resolution to the story that has entranced me since book 1. I can't wait to read more! |
I can’t wait for this book, the excerpt has only heightened my excitement! I really enjoyed the first two books and I think this one will be just as enjoyable. |

I am so reading to begin this final book in the series that the first four chapters especially Harper POV really got me excited to find out her next move. Each book in this series completely feels like a stand alone with each character having their moment. However they all seem so alone even when they are together except for Jake he seems to be the only one to make some true connection among the group. Still the teaser is very appeasing to finding out how this story ends and at what cost will our protagonist have to pay. I do believe Kemmerer is going to go in the opposite direction of how fairytales traditionally play out and flip the happily ever after part on its tale. |
I so loved the beginning of A Vow So Bold and Deadly! This picks up right where we left off in A Heart So Fierce and Broken, starting with Grey's point of view. Then we get Rhen's and a little more justification of why he made the choices he did. We still don't get a full explanation, but I'm really hoping for a lot more of this when the full book is out! The first few chapters were just as excellent as the last two books, so I'm sure this will be one exciting ride until the very last page! |
I love this series and I've been looking forward to this installment for a while! Based on this excerpt it I'm really looking forward to it's official release even more. ~ Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this excerpt ~ |
These first four chapters give a fitting picture of where the characters are starting out, given the events of book two, and the explosive ending of chapter four definitely drew me into the story. I still worry (lingering from the end of book two) that Lilith's presence and Rhen's secrecy will feel too much like a repeat of book one, but I'm hopeful that the feeling of it will shift once the story really gets started. I'm glad that Harper has held onto her anger, that Lia Mara's transition to being queen feels realistically difficult, and that Iisak is already featuring in Grey's chapter, as I have a feeling he will be a big part of this conclusion. Really looking forward to reading the full book! |
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read the first couple of chapters of A Vow So Bold and Deadly. This was definitely a tease! One thing I am most looking forward to in this book is the return of Rhen and Harper. I absolutely love Grey and I enjoyed his and Lia Mara story in A Heart So Fierce and Broken, but I am looking forward to all the characters returning and the culmination of this amazing story! |
This sampler for A Vow So Bold and Deadly has the first chapter from each of our four point of view characters: Harper, Rhen, Grey, and Lia Mara. It's been a bit since I read the first two books in the series, but the information the characters include in these early chapters will help refresh your mind as it did mine. The chapters also nicely set up the impending conflicts between our four heroes, promising an epic and satisfying conclusion to this much loved series. I'm excited to read the rest of the book! |
This sample was just what I needed to tide me over until the book comes out! Gave me just enough to peek my interest without giving away too much! |
This is a great beginning to the last book in the series! I can't wait to read the whole thing once it comes out and give it a proper review. |
What a ride! The entire Cursebreaker series wraps up in this twisty turny adventure. (Spell check says turny isn't a word- but I don't care) This is everything I hoped for in the third book. You get time with all four main characters and getting everyone's POV is a plus. I read happily read more from this universe because it is just so entertaining. Bonus points for yet another gorgeous cover. |
