It’s All Love was inspiring nonfiction written for Teen/YA, a collection of actress Jenna Ortega’s motivational quotes and affirmations about hope, confidence, taking chance, believing in yourself, friendship, love, family, and kindness.

Writing was simple, easy to follow, and fast paced due to short para for chapters and quotes for chapter headings. It felt like those diary entries where we write what we learned and gratitude towards friends and family.

In this book author shares her thoughts on things she learned through her experience about faith, kindness, importance of family and friends, heartbreaks and how she learned from bad relationships, letting go of negative energy and negative people and opening door to positivity and people who really matters in life, not to shut down family and friends in crisis, being comfortable with your body and what you wear, not being disappointed by rejection or set backs but learning from the experience, taking criticism as learning points and ignoring haters and not to engage energy and time by responding to haters.

I loved the overall message thatimparted you’re in control of your life, how you drive it through passion and determination no matter what others think about it or try to discourage you from its course; believe in your dream and your ability to make it come true and be patient in reaching goals; it’s competitive world, someone who started the same journey as yours would achieve goals earlier than you or slower than you so it’s better to focus your energy in your own rather than comparing it with other; being open with your thoughts and not to be afraid of doing right things; having faith in God or religion you follow and how faith helped author connect with things, goodness in universe, and brought peace and positivity.

I loved how she said and showed throughout the book that God is comes first then family, friends, school, and career. Best chapter was the one in which she talked about her grandfather. It’s really great Jenna Ortega learned such important things at young age. It will be great motivational book for young readers.

Why 4 stars-

It’s more for young reader or teenagers. There was nothing wrong with the book but maybe because of my age and my experience I knew these things and have read it before.

Overall, It’s All Love was quick read, great inspirational and motivational collection of dream and love for teens and young readers.

This would be great for younger readers looking for a short guide through life, and provides plenty of reminders of whats important in life. It wasn't really for me, I think because of the young voice who has written the book, but I imagine it would be received quite well by readers of the same age so have given it 3 stars.

This is quite accessible- an encouragement or challenge in one line; then less than a page of explanation/ personal experience, as a model/ example. Easily consumed bit by bit.

This wasn't as illustrated as I thought it was going to be, but I still liked it. It's got some good inspirational quotes and ways to love yourself and show love to others.

Thanks NetGalley for this ARC
