This book started with a recap of COVID-19 that, although only a few months old, was already seriously outdated. Fortunately, there were also several sections that didn’t rely on outdated data. Instead, the author talked about slaughterhouses, religion, racism, and what really happened with the Trump Administration, among several other topics of interest. These sections made the book good, and if it hadn’t been for some repetition, they would have made it great.

Interesting look at current American society

I enjoyed this book. Although medically it is already out of date as the science moves forward at a rapid rate, the discussions of federal government mismanagement is still current as is the discussion of the divisions in American society. The book reads like a novel and is hard to put down. I also liked the suggestions for resolving some of these dilemmas. I recommend this book for anyone interested in how the COVID-19 pandemic was handled in the US in the early days.
