Dnf. Nothing really ever grabbed my attention w this one unfortunately. I felt the writing was also a little too cheesy for my taste. Lovely cover though and plot idea!

I’m so glad I read this! I liked this one much better than the first book. The chemistry between the characters was just spicy enough to keep me interested, but not too spicy to be in bad taste. I think if Bridgerton would have been like this, I would have liked it much more. I can’t wait for book three!

I received an advanced copy. All thoughts are my own.

I was pleasantly surprised! I would classify this as a recency Era rom-com! The characters were witty, sarcastic and so much fun. Diana a Widow who loves her freedom and independence. Jeremy, the Marquess of Willinghqm, the rake. Jeremy comes to Diana after complaints by his mistresses in the bedroom. Jeremy, Diana and their friends escape for a party at his estate and no better better place to start an affair.

I received an arc via netgalley in exchange for an honest review, all opinions are my own.

Although this book was fun and did enjoy it, I found the main characters somewhat annoying. I would've preferred a novel with Miss Templeton as a main character instead. Will this change your life? No, but if you're looking for a quick and fun rom com, go for it!

This was okay. Not amazing, but I didn’t DNF! I just needed more to be brought into the story. Unfortunately I wasn’t wow’d by it.

I will not be fully reviewing this book. I started it, but was not in the right mindset to finish it. I was definitely appreciative of the content, and will surely pick it up again soon. I will then fully review.

I'm usually not a fan of historical romances so I have no idea why I requested this book but it was really good! I really enjoyed the character building and the whole overall story.

This is such a light hearted regency romance novel and I thorough enjoyed it! It felt a little bit modern but that’s alright, I could easily look past that. This was so fast paced and I enjoyed every minute!

Due to a family illness, and unexpected events, I am very far behind in writing my reviews.I found my self reading one book after another without writing the review -- that was a big mistake. I did enjoy this book very much. I happily give it 4 stars.

An excellent follow up to last year's TO HAVE AND TO HOAX. This was the book that I was really looking forward to, especially since I fell hard for the heroine, Diana, in the first book!

After his latest mistress unfavorably criticized his skills in the bedroom, Jeremy, Marquess of Willingham is looking for reassurance, so he turns to the one woman he trusts to be totally truthful, Diana. They also make a wager (who doesn't love some sort of sex/marriage bet?) that Jeremy must marry within the year or Diana will forfeit one hundred pounds.

What I love about Martha's writing is that her books read like a contemporary sitcom, but in Regency England. It's unlike anything I've read from any other author, so like it or not, there's no denying she's got a unique style to her work (one that personally, I love).

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1/2

I put this book off for way too long and then binged it all one night last week. It was SO off the charts chemistry wise for this genre and I LOVED that. Such a fun premise - great characters - exactly what I look for in a historical romance. I haven't read the first in the series but I will continue from now on.

I feel so let down because I was looking forward to reading this book and when I did I found it to be a dud. My problem was that most of the book was told through internal monologues. There was not enough scenes between the H and H to make me care for these characters. The plot moved along very slowly with nothing much happening.

I love matchmaking in book and To Love and to Loathe really hit the spot for me. I've never read Martha Waters before and found her writing to be witty and engaging although the story did move a little slow at times.

The dynamic between Diana and Jeremy is the shining light of this book. The banter is hilarious, the sexual tension off the charts, and the friend/enemy relationship is just perfect. I'd call this a Frenemies to Lovers success. The matchmaking ladies and all other side characters add touches of humor and create a rich plot. I had not read book one and didn't feel like I missed out on anything but I definitely want to go back and read it now.

Definite recommendation!

I LOVED this book! I think I am a minority when I say that I really enjoyed book one, but I feel to Love and to Loath was even more enjoyable. I love the enemies to lovers trope, and the characters in this book are thoroughly likable! Unlike in many other hate-to-love stories, I never felt that Diana and Jeremy’s relationship was actually built on animosity or disdain….although they each might have felt that it was for a time. They were very clearly meant for each other and it was hysterical to think that everyone around them just wanted them to kiss already!!! There was some very laughable moments and touching moments as well. Slow burn but worth the wait! Very feminist while still remaining realistic for the times! Loved it!

I enjoyed the first book in this series, "To Have and to Hoax" quite a bit and was excited for the chance to read this sequel. I especially like the character, Diana, in the first book and this book elevates her to the starring roll. This story was very cute and the main characters were a lot of fun, but it slightly missed the mark for me. However, I believe that may have more to do with me and what else I was reading at the time. Too many quality regency romances with mouthy, independent leading ladies! This series is a great escape with wonderful humor and a convincing romance. Great for fans of Bridgerton and/or Evie Dunmore's League of Extraordinary Women.

The widowed Diana, Lady Templeton and Jeremy, Marquess of Willingham are infamous among English high society as much for their sharp-tongued bickering as their flirtation. One evening, an argument at a ball turns into a serious wager: Jeremy will marry within the year or Diana will forfeit one hundred pounds.

After binge watching Bridgerton, I was really interested in reading a regency romance. Enemies to lovers has got to be my favourite trope! I loved the witty banter between the characters, the sexual tension and also the way the author gave the book a modern twist.

This is book 2 in the Regency Vows series. Diana, Lady Templeton and Jeremy, Marquess of Willingham are well known throughout the Ton for their bickering, though some might call it flirting. So, when Jeremy's mistress lets him know that he is not very good in the sack he decides to ask the only person he feels will be truly honest with him. He feels it is a win-win situation for both of them. They can sleep with each other, she can give him a critique of his skills, and then she can use their affair as a signal that she is open to offers from other gentlemen. As all romance readers know...a well made plan is really just a plan that is set to go awry.

Their plan goes awry in major fashion as they both begin to develop feelings for each other. Their shenanigans make for an enjoyable read. This is a cheeky take on the average historical romance that readers are sure to enjoy.

Another engaging and funny historical romance. Diana and Jeremy have excellent banter and chemistry; as a widow, her studied insouciance and social status makes a good match for a rake like him. Slightly absurd, very fun.

Read this in a day by the pool. It dove right in which had me a bit confused at the start, but then I realized this is actually second in a series so the world building had already been done in the first. After a bit though I caught on, so I think it’s fine to read them out of order. It’s very much a Bridgerton feel, but I do love the trope of let’s fool around with no feelings (oops we’ve caught feelings) lol. It was fun, and I’ve got the first one on hold at the library now!
