Love this series, love Joe, and can't get enough of him. Super fun continuation of his story. Can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Some might grow tired with new Joe Goldberg releases but I never will. Third in the series, but perhaps Joe at his most desperate, this is a panic attack of a book about Joe's time volunteering at a library, where he becomes obsessed with a married librarian. With the help of his former lover's financial aid, gifted to him as hush money, he tries relentlessly to win the affection of his newest dream girl. What could go wrong? I loved reading exactly that.

I liked this one. I didn’t love this one. The magic of Joe lies in his likability, his charisma (or lack thereof sometimes) and his cunning wit. This book lacked all of that for me and instead it just made me mad. This new amour of Joe’s is like Beck 2.0, only where that relationship was chill-inducing, this one was very robotic and almost rote.

2.5 stars for the story, rounded up to 3 because I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was phenomenal, as usual.

I loved the original You for Joe's zany logic and absolutely unhinged-yet endearing- demeanor. Since then, the books have slowly declined to the point I cannot finish this story-

That being said, I truly appreciate being given the opportunity to read and review this work and this is not who I am as a reviewer-I love reading and reviewing, I'm just done holding on to the hope I'll feel like finishing this.

Joe clearly has not learned from his mistakes and is not unhinged in the charming way (if there ever were such a thing when dealing with a murderer) he used to be-it's more uncomfortable for me to read and it's no longer fun. I hope you understand.

Thank you so much, again.

I was so excited to continue on with Mr. Joe and his crazy stalking but this was my least favorite book so far. It felt so drawn out and slow at times that I had to put it down and try and pick it back up multiple times. There were certain parts that worked for me and certain parts I couldn't stand, mainly the female's constant back and forth of emotions. For the love of God, please just make up your mind.

Joe, Joe, Joe. You entertaining nutter.

I enjoyed this but not as much as the first two books. It was kind of long and I found myself losing interest a few times. Not my favorite in the series but I'll still check out the next one.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Random House for gifting me a digital copy of this book in the You series by Caroline Kepnes - 3.5 stars rounded up!

Joe has moved and is living on an island in the Pacific Northwest. He gets a job at the library (well, a volunteer job because he made a big donation) and meets Mary Kay, the librarian. Then he becomes obsessed with her. Mary Kay has an already busy world, taking care of her daughter and spending time with her friend. She also has a secret that she hasn't told Joe about yet. But Joe is determined.

I have to say that I haven't read the other books in this series nor watched the show, so I'm sure I would have been more into this book if I had. You have to get used to Joe's stream of consciousness talk, as well as his nicknames for everyone. I do like the snarky, dark humor and the way you find yourself rooting for an unlikable character. I'm intrigued enough to be on to the next book!

This was not my favorite. It could be because I have seen the show and I have an issue with characters when they are doing different things. The writing was good and it kept me interested. I would read more from the author.

Joe Goldberg has moved on, and he's settled in the Pacific Northwest. He gets a job at a local library thanks to his love of books, and he meets the next object of his affection/obsession. The third series of the Netflix adaptation deviates from this novel quite significantly in places, so anybody looking for a replica will not find it here.

I love this series and I think Caroline Kepnes is a genius - how she manages to make us alternate between rooting for Joe between despise him and everything he does is no mean feat. Would recommend to anybody who enjoyed the previous novels and the Netflix series.

Such a great follow up to You! Super quick paced, kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat at all times!

I love how dark & humourous Joe is. This was a highly entertaining book for me. I loved a main character who was also a librarian. Cringey at times but loved this story.

You Love Me is the third book in the YOU series, following Joe and his… troubles with love. If you’ve read the first two books, you already have an idea of what those troubles are, but if you haven’t read them, I would suggest starting there.

I adored the first two books, as much as one can adore a book about a stalker. They were tense, and eerie, and being trapped in Joes head was some of the most unsettled I’ve been reading a book. I don’t recommend reading these books at work if you work in an escape room, that’s located in a dark basement where you’re constantly alone. You definitely start to get a bit paranoid.
Because I liked the first two books so much, I was thrilled to receive an arc of this one, fully expecting to love it. Unfortunately, this one didn’t quite hit the same way the first two did.

My biggest problem with this one was the lack of tension. It didn’t have the same feel as the first two books, where you’re unsettled and aware that Joe is definitely the misguided creep (of which he is absolutely unaware). You Love Me felt more like it was a strange attempt at an actual romance. There was still similar behaviour from Joe as in the first two books, but it didn’t feel the same. The suspense, and the bad things that Joe does, just aren’t present in this book.

Without giving too much away, or spoiling the first two books if you’ve not read those, You Love Me felt lacking. It was still a decent book, and I still plan on seeing what happens if there is a fourth book in the YOU series, but I just didn’t feel as invested or on the edge of my seat with this one. If you’re going in to this one expecting much the same from Joe, I recommend putting a damper on your expectations so that hopefully it can be better than you’re expecting.

I listened to this on audio. And I love the narrator. I almost felt like I was listening to Penn from the show. I love how this series almost makes you feel so bad for Joe. Even when he tries to be good. Things still never go his way.

This one is a trip.

I mean I know (and you know) that Joe finding his happy would be very weird for everybody. But you can't help but hope?

But Joe keeps running into people who are supremely wronger than even he is and the reader is definitely happy to be along for the ride.

An excellent series that just keeps getting better.

This was different from the TV series and my motto is always “the book was better.” I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next!

The books diverge from the TV series pretty significantly, but that's ok because I love them both. So dark, so fun! Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the e-galley

Well first, let me say how much I love Caroline's writing! I would read anything by her.

This series is something that spins love and obsession into one and has you wondering about people behind closed doors. Do you ever really know someone, even when you love them and begins to build a life? Does their past haunt them and will eventually haunt you?

Aside from the fantastic story line, it really gets you thinking and loving a true physchopath and actually had me wondering where I could find one for myself!

DNF at 25%

I found You to be such a creepy story with so much potential! I pushed through Hidden Bodies and felt like it was super repetitive and that Joe’s motivation for making the choices he makes wasn’t very believable. He went from making all his choices around Beck to essentially wanting to kill everyone because they looked at him wrong. It was a little too predictable for my liking.

Ooh time goes by and if i don't write the review right away...sigh. I'm trying to be better. The best i can do right now is give a star count...

I loved You so much and this book did not disappoint. Joe gives up big city living for a more peaceful and quiet life in the Northwest. BUT if you have read the other two in this series you know that Joe can’t be peaceful or quiet for too long!!! Fast-paced thriller that I could not stop reading! Thank you NetGalley for the copy to read and review. .
