Another great addition to the “you” series. I actually think I liked this book the best of all three and I cannot wait for the fourth one. Joe is back, and as usual, we can’t help but be on his side. Even if he is a little… Special. He’s met the real love of his life, he just has to make sure she knows it… but anyone and everyone is getting in the way of that. This time, Joe will be the good guy. He will do the right thing. It’s not his fault that people keep dying. Read it!

First of all, thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for access to this ARC.

Hey Joe. It’s been a while. I’ve definitely missed your antics.

Going into this I was just praying it was better than the second book and thankfully that was the case here. Joe is at his “best” when he has a singular pursuit. This is definitely reminiscent of the first book in a good way.

The ending was great and shocking and the last 10% of this book flew by. Where I struggle with this is that I keep finding myself rooting for Joe to have a happy ending and I have to keep reminding myself that he’s a bad guy. Caroline just breathes such life into him and it’s hard not to root for him. Joe is a person that leaves destruction in his wake wherever he goes. He’s toxic and destroys the lives of everyone he comes into contact with whether intentional or not.

I don’t think this book could have had a different ending for Joe. I enjoyed reading this very much and hope to get more Joe in the future.

I received in advance for you just copy in exchange for an honest review.

Wow – this book was a bit of a slow burn but the drama heats up and that last half is a crazy crash until it finally goes off the rails. These people are scary, and not in the horror movie sense of the word. This will definitely have you sleeping with one eye open when you let a charming man into your life.

I read YOU LOVE ME in a day, which is incredibly rare because I have hardly any reading time with a newborn, but I had to know what happened!

I was particularly enthralled with the location because I live in the area and my gosh, Caroline Kepnes perfectly captured Bainbridge Island folk🤣.

Joe is just as manipulative, charming, and demented, as ever but that's why we like him. There were a few parts that I thought were a bit repetitive of You and Hidden Bodies but overall it was a thoroughly new adventure and I was only left wanting to know more about his child and Love.

Look, basically I am just going to say this: if you enjoy Joe and his second person wit and dialogue and just Joe in general– You Love Me is going to sweep you off your feet.

This book in the series was unlike the other two for me. Mainly because of the growth (yes– I feel like Joe has grown as a character) of Joe has kept me on my toes every since I first read YOU. Watching him move through his life and go about his “normal” days will always be so entertaining for me. Mainly because well, they’re normal for Joe but not for us LOL.

The first part of the book, I would say the first 30-45% of the book moved super slow. Like… slow, slow. But it does pick up and I think if you stick with it you can appreciate the slow momentum in the beginning. But I think what made this third book so good was the way Caroline wrote Joe. Seriously it doesn’t get much better than the way he converses with himself and with us, the reader.

I don't know why this book was disappointing, but it was.

While I liked the *plot* of this book, I feel the details of the book did not match my expectations on how I was going to enjoy it.

I felt like Joe was a weak adaptation of himself. He is a bad guy, a bad guy that you have to feel disgusted with and totally engrossed with at the same time. While I felt engrossed in what was going on in his life, I didn't feel disgusted. I felt very meh over everything that happened.

I felt like the author didn't explain very well on how Joe got out of jail that fast and that the transition from book two to book three felt rushed, messy.

WIll I read book four? Possible. I just felt that the author really gave it all to Joe on book two and that the only way for Joe to top all and everyone is that he ends up being involved with the president, the mafia, or the dark web. Otherwise, he ain't as scary or deranged as he used to be.

I wished for this on Netgalley and was granted my wish. Thank you so much to Netgalley and Random House !

I have been patiently waiting for book three to come out and was so excited to read this. It was so easy to jump back into Joe's story! I loved book one so much that I had to buy book 2 the day it published. I don't believe Hidden Bodies lived up to the hype of You, and I feel You Love me(Book#3) was better than the second but not as good as the first. Don't get me wrong, its still an awesome read, I just don't believe any in the series compares to the first one. With all of that said, I loved the first 1/3 of the book and couldn't put it down. Then Oliver arrived and I just couldn't get into his part of the storyline. However, the last few chapters tied everything up very nicely. I'd almost say for me, this would be a good ending to complete the series, but of course would not turn away a chance to read a fourth installment.

Highly recommend this entire series

Oh my gosh, I loved this book! I devoured the first two books in this series, and couldn't wait to read this one! It is even better than the first two! You cannot help but root for the bad guy in this series, he is so charming, but so evil! He makes excuses for all his ugly deeds, and they are such believable excuses. Genuinely creepy, but so fascinating!!! Loved it!!

This is an entertaining, crazy, & thrilling ride! Joe Goldberg is done with cities, done with the muck and the posers, done with Love. Now, he's saying hello to nature, to simple pleasures on a cozy island in the Pacific Northwest. He works at the library along side his new target sexy Mary Kay DiMarco. Only thing is she has a life! Mary Kay is a single mom to a teenager. Because Joe is a changed man, he is going to win her heart the old fashion way ... lol yeah right! OMG Joe, you’re still f’ing crazy! Please is there a 4th?! Thanks to Random House and NetGalley for a gifted ARC. This is my honest review.

Joe is on the move again. He went from being a New Yorker, to a laid back California dude, and now, he’s moved to a small town across the Puget Sound from Seattle. And I must say, it’s a very fitting setting for him.

I’ve read a lot of Ann Rule, and a lot of the most notorious serial killers spent some time in the Pacific Northwest. Is it the clouds and the rain? Does it soothe their dark souls? But Joe has landed a volunteer job at a library in a small town. Does it come as any surprise that he quickly fixates on a pretty librarian?

And it begins.

But it does feel like his new obsession, Mary Anne, is a good fit for him. They have a lot in common, and she’s older, wiser. Nothing like Beck or Love. And she’s a mother, so much more mature. Nevermind that she’s married to a has-been rockstar and that she is incredibly confused about what she wants.

Also, there’s Love. She’s not in the picture anymore, but she is Joe’s baby mamma. A baby he signed his rights away to, but wasn’t happy about it. There is so much going on this time around.

You Love Me is everything I wanted it to be. Joe isn’t the same guy who used to stalk Beck through the windows of her NYC apartment. He’s matured. I think he might not be as much of a psycho. Well, scratch that.

Special thanks to Netgalley and Random House for granting my wish for a free e-galley in exchange for my honest review. You guys only have to wait until April 6, then this one is out and available for public consumption! This review will be published on my blog, Women in Trouble Book Blog, on March 9, 2021

Another slam dunk! I love the You series and this one did not disappoint. This time Joe tries to be better but trouble always finds him. It so dark to be rooting for such a dangerous, stalker.

The third installment of Joe Goldberg and his quest for love.

Sometimes the third book in a series can be a bust. The story gets old, gets tired. Not this one. I thoroughly enjoyed every last drop of this one.

Joe is the villain you root for, but are disgusted by him. He is a stalker, he sets people up. He gets set up. There is so much that happens in this one, it was unputdownable.

I don’t want to ruin anything for anyone so I can’t say enough that if you’re invested in the story of Joe Goldberg, read this one!

I feel with the way this ended, there could potentially be a 4th. One can hope. I don’t get tired of his thoughts. Sick but true! 😂

Unfortunately, I'm done with this story and series. To be quite honest, I didn't think Joe needed a second book let alone a third. I was bored a lot during this book and felt like it dragged on and on.

With You Love Me, Caroline Kepnes is back in form. America's favorite, creepy stalker is back and this time he's a changed man, or so he says. If you read Hidden Bodies, then you've heard this before. While I loved You, my feelings towards Hidden Bodies were lukewarm, because Joe seemed like a different person than he had in the prior book.

Rest assured, the Joe from the first novel is back, and once again he has found another object of his obsession in librarian, Mary Kay DiMarco. He just has to get rid of a few "obstacles" before he can finally have his happily ever after.

I'll admit, I sometimes have to stop and re-evaluate myself because I catch myself rooting for Joe. To top it off, apparently Joe is a huge Sam Cooke fan, as am I. He also happens to love books almost as much as I do. And then I remind myself, he is a modern day Ted Bundy with better technology.

Several times throughout the book, I found myself laughing out loud at Joe's inner monolgue justifying his depraved actions. I think this speaks to Kepnes' skill as a writer that she can make the reader root for such a deplorable human.

The only thing I found lacking is more information on the events that occurred between the end of Hidden Bodies and You Love Me. I remember finishing Hidden Bodies and wondering how Kepnes would manage to make another sequel, if she was ever inclined to continue the series. Perhaps, those questions will be answered in Book 4. Fingers crossed.

The third installment in the "You" series "You Love Me" captured a different version of Joe we as readers wouldn't have expected to come across: His empathetic side. Once again, we follow Joe Goldberg moved to a cozy island of Bainbridge in the outskirt of Seattle alone after his relationship ends with Love Quinn. Joe wanting to lead a quiet life and to be a better person decides to volunteer at the local library. There he meets the librarian Mary Kay his new obsession and he will do anything to win her love.

I truly had a great time following Joe's over the top delusions. Reading his inner monologues are always dark and twisted yet hilarious. Mary Kay was also a fascinating character. Of course similar to Joe's past love interests, Mary Kay also had her own handful of personal problems but what made her stand out was the fact that Joe had to really work hard to win her love. We are revisited with Caroline Kepnes' signature writing style that did not go amiss. We are met with Joe's alluring voice and his singular viewpoint where one can't help going along with his madness. Just as William Shakespeare states "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players," Joe Goldberg sees the world as a reader. The people in his life are merely characters in his twisted story. We may see Joe's "nice guy" features but Caroline Kepnes does not disappoint to present the obsessive and the insanity of Joe Goldberg, our guilty pleasure of whom we all love to hate but can't help fixating upon. An exhilarating read with a twist towards the end I did not see it coming!

Thank you to Net Galley and Random House for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Yes! Another installment featuring Joe Goldberg! In the third book, Kepnes has Joe stalking yet another love of his life that he finds in MaryKay, a librarian in Bainbridge. Now that Joe has left New York and LA, living in a quieter area in the Pacific Northwest, he is able to meet and work his usual Joe magic on MaryKay. Of course, Joe is up to his usual antics, but the book is so well-written, it doesn’t feel repetitive.

I really enjoyed You Love Me, and look forward to more!

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

I’m conflicted over my rating on this book... You Love Me definitely captured the essence of the original YOU, and it did pack in a lot of twists and turns... but I think the pacing was pretty shoddy in most places, and (in my opinion) it felt like this installment of the story really didn’t bring much of anything new to Joe’s character arc. The beginning felt clunky to me, mostly in that it focused really heavily on references to past events in the previous two books of the series instead of on creating a vibrant new environment for our killer’s so-called fresh start. I didn’t feel as immersed in the new setting for this reason. It felt to me as if our main character didn’t learn a whole lot from those past mistakes, seeing as he was excessively sloppy in a lot of his surveillance this time around. But Joe is a seasoned voyeur... seeing as this is not his first rodeo, I expected a higher caliber of stealth and deceit. I suppose I was disappointed by how obvious a lot of his tactics were to those around him in this episode of the story. There was still that occasional corny, hokey note throughout—again, on its own, not a huge issue, but this time around it felt too heavy-handed for my liking. With there being so many cringe-worthy nicknames, innuendos, and lyrics, You Love Me seemed to me far less polished than the original YOU. Furthermore, a lot of the shock factor was lost on me due to the story being so oversaturated with death. I will say though that I thought it was interesting how a large portion of this book was composed of coverups as opposed to repeated brutal, offensive attacks at Joe’s hand. Our new love interest had a LOT of baggage, so much so that it felt excessive to me and we ended up being rushed through a lot of the action. Love Quinn’s return (and murder/suicide) felt like an aside, it happened *SO* fast, and hey, wasn’t she extremely important to Joe not even a year ago?! This certainly didn’t receive the attention it deserved, even though out narrator had emotionally “moved on.” I wish the author could have edited down some of the action (for example, all of the Oliver story) to focus more on the major players. My favorite aspect of the plot was Joe’s covert ops meddling in Narcotics Anonymous to get close to (and psychologically torment) the new love interest’s skeezy, washed up Kurt Kobain wannabe husband. The ending came out of left field, and those last 30-or-so pages definitely had me intrigued. As always, I savored the stream-of-consciousness narrative voice that this author is so skilled at writing. Did I enjoy this book? Definitely. Did it shock and disturb me in the same way that it’s predecessors did? Sadly no. That said, I am eager to see what happens in episode four as Joe assimilates easily into the Florida Man trope.

Wow - all I can say is WOW! Another fantastic book in this series - I couldn’t put it down, and wished that I had the time right now to go back and read the 1st and 2nd books because I enjoyed this one so much! Love how Joe tried to be “good” throughout the book, but in the end, we know he never can be!

4.5/5

I LOVED this. I've enjoyed each of the books but didn't think anything could top the first book, it's never easy is it?
That remains true here, but I do think this is impressive and just as exciting as the first installment.

Joe Goldberg is the "bad guy" we hate to love, because it's so wrong. So why have I constantly cheered him on and wanted him to win? I'm going to say it's down to excellent story telling, as Kepnes writes strong characters and an immersive plot.

We know that Joe is flawed, I'm not giving spoilers, and yet, I constantly feel for him. I care about his story and his feelings. I want Joe to be happy because he deserves it. If you've read any of the other books you may agree, or you think I'm out of my mind. Both are fine! These books speak to people differently.

All I do know is that I love Joe Goldberg, and Joe deserves true happiness.
Is this the story where he finally finds that happiness?
Or does his past come back to bite him in the butt?

I hate reviews that summarize the plot that is already included, and ones that tell you the entire story. I can't do it.
So, I'll simply share that this was incredible. Joe meets Mary Kay, and she's "the one". There's always obstacles in the way, it's Joe afterall, but can that ever stand in the way of true love? Not for Joe Goldberg! Not even the Quinns can ruin this for him, right?

Joe is sweeter than ever, smarter than ever, and he's on track to get the life he has earned. We are reminded of RIP everyone from the first two books and Joe wants to ensure he gets it right this time. No more mugs of piss. He isn't going to break the rules this time, okay maybe one or two, to push things along organically.
Joe will do what he has to, for Mary Kay to see he is the man of her dreams. And he is, truly.
Based on what we know about Joe's past, is the dream always bound to become a nightmare? Or will Mary Kay see Joe for who he wants to be, instead of who he was?

My only issue with this, and why I didn't give it 5 stars, was the ending.
Everything was so well done, I was audibly gasping several times. It felt a little bit rushed and I wanted more from such a strong story.
Without saying too much, the ending definitely leaves room for another installment (PLEASE?!)
and the PLOT TWIST was like no other. It was like a punch in the gut and just wow.

This book comes out in April 2021, and is so worth the wait!
