Three Missing Days

Pub Date 06 Apr 2021

The teenage son of Police Chief Jane Hardy was accused of a horrific crime-and three days of Jane's memories were stolen. It's finally time for the truth to be revealed in Pelican Harbor 3.

Deputy Chief Jane Hardy plunges into the investigation of a house fire that killed a woman and a firefighter. It’s clear the woman was murdered. But why? The unraveling of Jane's personal life complicates the case.

When Jane's fifteen-year-old son is accused of a terrible crime, she must decide if she can trust her ex, Reid, to prove Will's innocence-and if she can trust Reid at all.

Three days of Jane's past are missing, and that's not all. Finding out what happened in those three days could change everything for her as she searches for the murderer.

One little lie sparked a chain reaction . . . but it's finally coming out.

I give Three Missing Days five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

THREE MISSING DAYS is the ending book of the Pelican Harbor series that started with ONE LITTLE LIE and TWO REASONS TO RUN. Each book has the start and finish of a criminal investigation, but there is an overall arc that spans the three books. If you have not read the first two, you will still enjoy this book as the characters and their community are well developed and the story flows smoothly. Colleen Coble has done an excellent job of taking these characters through an intense investigation that will suddenly include family. But, I have read all three and the BIG story really does add to the "feeling" of a mystery to the story lines. My reading club all agree, this trilogy is excellent!

Well, as they say all good things must come to an end. This is the final book in the series by Colleen Coble and I for one and sad to say goodbye. Coble is an excellent writer with an uncanny ability to tell a story and bring characters together in such a way that it is not rushed but is also lasting. That said this is not a book I would recommend reading to start the series with because you will miss most of the backstory. I have finished them all and everyone of them holds a special place in my heart. Now onto another series by Coble…

5 out of 5 stars

I loved the Pelican Harbor series by Colleen Coble. Though Three Missing Days was not my favorite book in the series, it was a nice wrap-up with it's own unique charms.

I always love Colleen Coble's stories, and this one was the perfect ending to the Pelican Harbor series. It is a great Christian suspense/mystery. Chief of Police, Jane Hardy is called to a fire where two people have died. Then Jane and Reid's son, Will, is charged with a crime when Reid's ex-wife goes missing. Is Will being framed? Jane has to step back and let her co-workers solve the case for Will while she investigates the fire death. As more evidence emerges, Jane begins to see the connections to solve both of the cases. Jane has to tackle somethings from her past before she can move forward and fully understand all the connections.

I love the small town and the relationships within the town and connections. As you read towards the end, you begin to see the characteristics of each of the characters as they are tested and will they withstand the test. The fullness of the story that test them and leads to forgiveness and the family bonds grows stronger is tremendous.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this wonderful conclusion to this series!

It's so hard to say goodbye to this series, but it certainly is good to see Jane reach her happily ever after. I hope there are more books that include Jane and Reid. Their chemistry and the slow burn romance that also felt like a second chance romance pushed this series in such a remarkable way. I genuinely worried over the characters in Three Missing Days and needed to reach the end to make certain they were okay. An unforgettable, hard to put down, read.

Jane is missing, not herself, but three days. Three days in her life are just... gone? This is the final book in this series, and I must say, it's a strong one. That said, this isn't a stand alone. You need to read this series in order.

Coble did a superior job of giving us all the answers to the questions I'd been asking from prior books in the series. The suspense remained throughout the story. Faith was not left out, and romance is included. In all, an very good series that's right up my "alley" and a strong, strong finish with this book. Wait till you read what happened in those three missing days!

Thanks to NetGalley and First Edition for my copy of this book. This review is my own and contains what I think about this book. A positive review is never required.

Three Missing Days was a good conclusion to the Pelican Harbor series. I enjoyed following along the journey with these characters.

This book had quite a few intense moments and I liked how it wasn't easy to figure out what was really going on. The story was written very well and I felt like I flew through the story.

As with the previous books, I really liked the characters and the romance. It was a great second chance romance story and the ending was wonderful.

All in all, Three Missing Days was a very good read and one I recommend. I think you should read the series in order, though. :)

Three Missing Days is a thrilling ending to the Pelican Harbor series.

Jane and Reid's son is accused of committing a crime, and they must work together to figure out what's going on. As Jane investigates, her past once again rears its ugly head. Reid helps her uncover the past when Jane realizes there are Three Missing Days haunting, and still following, her.

I really enjoyed the series, but something just seemed to keep me from loving it 5 stars worth. It's an exciting series that you definitely need to read in order.

I'm thankful I had the opportunity from the publisher to read this book. A positive review was not required.

Another amazing book from this author! I loved the characters and setting of this book. The fast pace appealed to me and kept me turning pages. The best mystery/suspense stories are the ones that you can’t easily solve, and that’s certainly true of this book. The thread of faith that ran throughout the story added depth to the book. I’d recommend reading this trilogy in order. As always, I’m looking forward to more from this author.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Three Missing Days is the third installment of the riveting Pelican Harbor Series by Colleen Coble. Colleen Coble always writes edge-of-your seat fiction and this book does not disappoint! Police Chief Jane Hardy is battling many personal and profession fires when her 15 year old son is accused of murder and is arrested. Dealing with ramifications from when Jane was part of a cult, Jane realizes she cannot not remember 3 days of her life that could help her get her son out of jail. Three Missing Days is full of twists and turns that keep the reader engaged. I loved not only this book, but every single book in the Pelican Harbor Series--that's how much I recommend this book! Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book! Again, I highly recommend it! (This review is also on GoodReads.)

This is book 3 and the conclusion of the Pelican Harbour Series. If you haven’t read the first 2, it’s still okay to understand this. But a lot of events have occurred prior leading to this book.

The story follows Reid’s ex-wife returning to the Harbour and causing problems for him and his girlfriend, Jane. A lot of mysteries surround her, but the worst happens when she falls off the dock at Reid’s house. His son, Will is under suspicion as he was present when the tragedy occurred. Now, Jane and Reid must find evidence to prove the innocence of their son.

Aside from all these drama, Jane is dealing with her past. Because of these things happening have to do with her one way or another. She has to find her mother whom she hasn’t seen in years, in order to find answers. She also tries to remember the three Missing Days, just before she escaped the cult because the key to setting her son free lies there.

This was a fast paced Thriller that I enjoyed. Jane and Reid are tested in various ways and they fight through. I liked how their friends and family were supportive, helping out in any way they can. If you love thrillers about cold cases, then this is the book for you.

Much thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and Colleen Coble for this ARC copy.

Chief of Police Jane Hardy plunges into the investigation of a house fire that claimed the life of a local woman as well as one of the firefighters. It’s clear the woman was murdered. But why? The unraveling of Jane’s personal life only makes the answers in the case more difficult to find.

Then Jane’s fifteen-year-old son is accused of a horrific crime, and she has to decide whether or not she can trust her ex, Reid, in the attempt to prove Will’s innocence—and whether she can trust Reid with her heart.

Three days of Jane’s past are missing from her memory, and that’s not all that has been stolen from her. As she works to find the woman’s murdered and clear her son’s name, finding out what happened in those three days could change everything.

This is the third and last book in the Pelican Harbor series. I haven’t read the first two books, but as I went along reading this, I could slowly fill in the gaps and I didn’t feel that I was missing much.

I really loved the way the book started off; it grasped my attention right away. The plot was so fast and action packed. There are several mysteries and investigations going on along with some personal family drama, all of which adds to the excitement.

I think this is a perfect read for someone like me who loves detective or police procedural investigative suspenseful books!

Thank You NetGalley and Thomas Nelson--FICTION for this ARC!
