Police Chief Jane Hardy has a really complicated back story but things are starting to come together, especially since she's reconciled with her ex-husband Reed and son Will. Unfortunately, a tragedy involving Will pulls Jane back into the nightmare of her life in a cult. Her mother drugged her for three days so that she would not know what was happening but Gabriel, the cult leader, doesn't know that. Add to that Lauren, who helped Reed raise Will and you've got a situation that is ripe with drama. Know that Jane and Reid rely a lot on their faith, which buoys at times which would make some feel as though they are sinking. It does help, I think, to have read at least one of the earlier books to fully appreciate these vivid characters and their troubled pasts. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read.

Colleen Coble is a master of romantic suspense! I felt so bad for poor, sweet Will when he is accused of murder! While I really enjoyed this book, my favorite in the series was the first book, “One Little Lie.” I will always be a fan of Colleen Coble!

** “God is never cruel. He always has a plan, and he sees beyond this temporal life. It might not be what we’d have chosen, but he always works things together for our good.” **

Readers can finally return to Pelican Harbor and Jane Hardy’s suspenseful story in Colleen Coble’s latest novel, “Three Missing Days.”

Picking up shortly after the ending of “Two Reasons to Run,” Jane finds herself needing to solve a fatal fire all while still trying to rebuild her relationship with the father of her child Reid Dixon — all while his ex-wife continues to make trouble for them.

When their son, Will, finds himself facing an horrific event, Jane and Reid must race to figure out how the two crimes fit together — and who is so evilly targeting their family.

Coble once again delivers a brilliant romantic suspense thriller with lots of edge-of-your-seat plot twists as well as enough romance to curl your toes. She develops marvelous characters that readers will invest in, including an adorable and loyal dog named Parker and Pete, the pelican Jane once rescued.

She also does a great job of developing incredible themes throughout “Three Missing Days,” like the need to move beyond guilt and shame; we can’t let fear of loss stop us from moving forward; honesty; forgiveness; trials have to be walked through; and having faith in justice (“Everything in this life can fail. I have to keep reminding myself that only God is faithful and never fails us. Things are bleak, life is unfair, but this isn’t over yet. We will see God work.”).

Fans of authors like Carrie Stuart Parks, Lynette Eason and Terri Blackstock will enjoy this novel. I would not recommend reading it as a standalone, as much of its plot refers back to the series’ first two books, which are also both great.

Five stars out of five.

Ms. Coble has another winner with her new book Three Missing Days. This book is a well written romantic suspense. Edge of your seat page turning plot that pulled me immediately into the action. I highly recommend this book.

Three Missing Days is the final book in the Pelican Harbor series. Colleen Coble is a master in Christian suspense. The action starts with the first page and doesn’t let up throughout the book. This trilogy has been a bit different since it has only focused on Chief Jane Hardy. I would highly recommend reading the first two books first as there would be a lot of confusion. In Three Missing Days, Jane finds out that she has no memory of three days when she was still in the cult. Will has been accused of murder. I really came to know Jane, Reid and Will through the entire trilogy and I hated saying good-bye. I also like the fact that even when things are tough, they don’t stop believing. Thank you to Netgalley and Thomas Nelson for the ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

Colleen Coble's third installment in Pelican Harbor keeps the adrenaline pumping with a desperate search for answers to finally finish the lie that started it all. Chief Hardy is still trying to deal with trust and emotions destroyed by the lies and untold stories from her past. Can Reid be different from her Dad, trusted to support her? The final truth is about to be revealed and the fallout could destroy them all. Their family is being targeted and death is littering the trail they must follow.
Jane and Reid have tracked down her mother, but answers are not forthcoming. She is running scared and not willing to help Jane find the missing three days that can provide so many answers. Then their son Will is falsely framed for murder, ratcheting up the tension and danger. Who is so intent on destroying Jane and her family? Why are the pictures from Jane's missing days so important after 15 years? With no other place to turn, Jane finally learns to drop her wall and let Reid in. Facing the future together, with God as their rock, Jane and Reid race against time to stop a plan bent on revenge and destruction.
Colleen Coble keeps the pulse pounding and reader guessing where the evidence will lead. The real problems and emotions Jane and Reid face pull the reader even deeper into the story. The suspense kept me up wanting to find the answers and the romance lifted the dark cloud throughout the story, bringing a great end to the story. I loved this series and can't wait for the next series Colleen Coble brings! I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Three Missing Days by Colleen Coble is the third book in the Pelican Harbor series. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. This book features the heroine and hero, Jane and Reid as they rush to solve a murder that implicates their son as the killer. There is so much action and so many layers to this book that I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. This book is original and had the perfect amount of romance too. I loooooved the ending. My favorite kind.
*I was given a copy of this book by Thomas Nelson Publishers and this is my honest opinion.

I loved this last book in the Pelican Harbor series. It will be to your benefit to read books 1 and 2 before reading this book.

The story is fast-paced and never let's up. That's one thing I love about this author. I liked the fact that there were lots of characters and different investigations going on. I never felt lost as she gives such depth to each character and investigation. I like trying to figure out if the people and investigations are connected to each other in some way.

I also liked the faith element the author brought into the book. Jane and Reid really had human feelings on this subject. Even though we know we have to have faith, when it's a serious situation, we humans do have our doubts. It's not easy and the author brings that struggle to life.

The romance and characters were real and human. No plastic, beautiful long legged perfect women. Just real human characters. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series.

What a wonderful conclusion to The Pelican Harbor series! I would recommend you read the first two books first as each book begins where the last book ended. This book had so much going on, it will keep you on the edge of your seat. If you like Christian Romantic Suspense, you will love this series! Thank you Thomas Nelson--FICTION via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Another favorite by a great author. The plot of the story was very well written. The author really draws the reader in as you read. I felt like I was an unnamed character in the story.

Chief of Police Jane Hardy plunges into the investigation of a house fire that claimed the life of a local woman as well as one of the firefighters. It’s clear the woman was murdered. But why? The unraveling of Jane’s personal life only makes the answers in the case more difficult to find.

Then Jane’s fifteen-year-old son is accused of a horrific crime, and she has to decide whether or not she can trust her ex, Reid, in the attempt to prove Will’s innocence—and whether she can trust Reid with her heart.

Three days of Jane’s past are missing from her memory, and that’s not all that has been stolen from her. As she works to find the woman’s murdered and clear her son’s name, finding out what happened in those three days could change everything.

A great conclusion to “The Pelican Harbor Series”. All of our questions have been answered. I would recommend that you read the first two books in this series before you read Three Missing Days.

Janes is still having trust issues. It seems to her everyone has lied to her. Her father, mother, and Reid. Who can she trust? The only bright spot in her life is her son, who she thought had died shortly after he was born fifteen years ago. Will gets arrested for murder and Jane and Reid have to figure out who is responsible or Will spend the rest of his life in prison or worse.

I highly recommend this book to all mystery fans. I was given this book by Thomas Nelson Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.

The third and final book in Colleen Coble's Pelican Harbor series is finally here... and it was absolutely 100% well worth the wait. If you haven't read the first two books, you will want to catch up on those before picking up this one. It's possible you might still enjoy it as a standalone, but this is definitely a series where each book picks up where the previous left off and would therefor have you missing a LOT if you picked up on book three.

One Little Lie (book one) introduced us to Jane and Reid's past together growing up in a cult. Through the series so far we have seen many lies uncovered, their coming back together and the reintroduction of more figures from their past. While some questions have been answered, many more had kept us waiting... all those questions and a few more are finally answered in this thrilling conclusion. When their son is accused of a murder he didn't commit, they have to discover what other secrets are catching up to their family and prove his innocence.

It's no secret that Colleen Coble is a top favorite of mine and this book and series are a fantastic example as to why! Right from the start, she drew us into these characters with nonstop action and questions that left me on the edge of my seat... not just through this book but the series as a whole. I loved these characters she created and wasn't ready to say goodbye just yet... though I was quite happy with the ending nonetheless.

If you enjoy romantic suspense and haven't yet read this series (or others by Colleen Coble), you're missing out! Start reading these ASAP! You won't regret it.

I've been waiting for what feels like forever to find out how Colleen Coble was going to wrap up her amazing new trilogy, and Three Missing Days was definitely worth the wait. Right from the opening pages, this well written, atmospheric novel had me glued to the mystery unfolding within it's pages, and is definitely one of Colleen Coble's best works to date. While I've honestly enjoyed this entire trilogy, I can say without a doubt that she saved the best for last for her faithful readers with this one.

Jane, Reid and Will have been through a lot in the short time they've been reunited, but none of them could have possibly been prepared for the sinister plot that's about to be ensnare them all. Jane and Reid's past had connections with the cult that they never could have dreamed, and it's about to blow up in their faces. When their teenage son, Will, is accused of committing a horrific crime that he never could have done, Jane and Reid will stop at nothing to clear his name. However, in doing so they will have to face skeletons they never could have dreamed, and Jane will have to come to terms with the fact that her memory has been locked from remembering "three missing days" that seems to hold the key to it all.

Told through both Jane and Reid's viewpoints, Three Missing Days is a suspenseful, action filled adventure from start to finish from one of the genre's best. I loved how realistic everything seemed; including the mystery, the continuing romance between Jane and Reid, the family struggles that need to be resolved, and the chaos that erupts when it's the police chief's son involved in the newest major crime. I was expecting great things from this one, but it ended up being even better than I was hoping for. I could barely bring myself to put it down once I started it, and I ended up reading the majority of it in one sitting.

My only complaint is that I personally found the villain to be extremely obvious; but surprisingly, even that didn't hinder my enjoyment of the story, and I still ended up being surprised at the way everything comes together in the end.

If you're a fan of Christian suspense, then I highly recommend picking this one up. Once again, Colleen Coble has delivered a nail biting, action packed story that will leave each and every reader caught up in Jane, Reid and Will's tumultuous story, and I'm honestly sad to see this series come to an end.

Final Rating: 5/5.

I can't possibly recommend this one enough!

Thanks so much to Thomas Nelson for allowing me to advance read and review this!

Three Missing Days is the third and final installment in Colleen Coble’s Pelican Harbor Series. Police Chief, Jane Hardy, finds herself in the most difficult situation when her 15-year-old son, Will is arrested and accused of murder. It is all Jane can do to stay out of the investigation. She and Reid, Will’s dad, put their Christian faith to the test when they trust her team to find who is framing Will. There is another murder investigation they work to solve while they agonize over their son’s predicament. This is an excellent series full of suspense, twists and turns, romance and a parent’s worst nightmare! I recommend reading the first two books in the series to get the full background of the events as they unfold. The series is a definite must read!

Questions are answered in this conclusion of the Pelican Harbor trilogy. I strongly recommend readers to read the first two novels before reading this book to fully grasp the story. Jane is in quite a dilemma when charges of murder are brought against her son for killing his adopted mother. She needs to let her department take the lead while she investigates another case. But what will happen when the two cases seemingly intertwine?

I really enjoy how Coble crafts a book with flawed characters, suspense, movement, and history. You want to know the characters because they've lived these full other lives, you invest in them because they're all too human, struggling in their relationships, faith, and careers. You may even stay up way too late into the early morning hours because you're so engrossed in what happens next. Three Missing Days did not disappoint as the finale of the Pelican Harbour series. I felt things a little more in this one, but perhaps it triggered my mama instincts as I have two younger teenage boys at home and could not imagine Jane's situation in having to support her son during a murder investigation and having to step back so justice prevails. Nope.

I did feel a little disconnected - like something was missing since the last title I read - but I just realised this evening that I never actually read the second book. Technically, this could be read as a standalone but I feel it works best with the foundation of the other two books to clear up a few points of reference. Overall, another gripping read that answered all the lurking questions.

My thanks to the publisher, Thomas Nelson, for the complimentary copy via NetGalley. The opinions expressed are entirely my own.

This was GREAT! There is such a tangled web! So much from their past is coming back to haunt them! If Jane could just remember those 3 days, would that make solving these crimes easier? There is A LOT going on in this book.....you better pay attention!

This is book 3 in the Pelican Harbor series. Sometimes Colleen Coble's books can be read as stand alone titles. But all three books in this series connect tightly together. In order to appreciate and understand this book fully, you MUST read the other two books first. (One Little Lie (which by the way, I loved. AND Two Reasons to Run which I liked). As for this book, it is the one that you have been waiting for. I loved it!!!! I feel like the author did a great job of resolving story lines and connecting previous plots. There was definitely resolution.

Characters: Chief Jane grew tremendously as a person from the first book to the third. I have always been on #TeamReid, and I enjoyed him even more in this book. Megan & Olivia are a part of this book, but Will plays a key role in this title. One other character comes back that is important. Two more key people are a part of this book as well. While there are plenty of people to like, there are also several that I did not care for at all. I am pretty sure that is the author's point! But I don't want to give any spoilers.

Plot: There were lots of threads in this one. Investigations were again a key component. The rest of the Pelican Bay police force are definitely involved in solving the cases. "Three Missing Days" is an important plot element. I really liked the fact that the title connected so closely to the storyline.

The Suspense elements: I would say they were moderate. I knew that they were going to resolve one of the key cases, but it did go some different directions than I anticipated. I liked the pacing, but I wouldn't say that the book kept me up all night worried. One part I definitely did not see coming. But I did solve and guess several key parts, but that was not disappointing to me. There were not really scary parts in this one, but there were unknowns.

Overall I definitely recommend this book, but as I mentioned before, you have to read the whole series. There are too many connections to the first two books to read this one separately. One key part to these titles is a cult that some of the characters used to be a part of once. I do think that added an interesting backdrop. Just the right details were shared about their past. I did like how all the parts came together in the end. Since I am writing this review about a month before this book is released, you can consider yourself lucky if you read the series. You don't have to wait for months until the next installment comes out like I did.

Thank you to Thomas Nelson and NetGalley for not making me wait until the book actually was released to read it. I enjoyed the series, and I requested to read the book. My goal was to review it because I think this is a great series that people should find out about. All opinions are my own.
