I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me via NetGalley. This book was just amazing. I just lost myself in this story and didn’t want it to end. It was really well written and just drew in you into these characters lives. I look forward to seeing what’s next from this author.

First, I just want to say that I was sad to hear about Veronica Chadwick's passing. This series is what introduced me to this co-author. I'm a big fan of Lora Leigh, which is what drew me to this series. Her and Veronica's collaboration was seamless and I've had every intention of checking out more of Veronica's work. My prayers go out to her family.

Now for the book, Jacob is everything I've come to love about a Lora Leigh hero. He's very intense, pure alpha dominance, protective and possessive of what he considers his. And Sallie is his. His pursuit of her was a thing of beauty if you are a fan of the alpha hero.

That doesn't mean Sallie was some pushover. I really liked that she had self respect and didn't just fall at Jacob's feet. They were a great combination of what I like in my main characters.

Even though you learn real quick, I won't give this little tid bit away. Let's just say, Jacob and Sallie's reunion had a bit of twist/theme to it that I do enjoy. It made things more interesting on top of an already interesting plot behind the reason Sallie was running for her life.

This was a pretty quick read and it did end kind of abruptly, but I am hoping that's because we will be getting more in this series and more of all the interesting characters.

This was Book 2 in the "Moving Violations" series and the good storyline and wonderful characters made this book a very enjoyable read!

More suspenseful than I'm used to from, Lora Leigh. I liked it! Same level of erotica. Hoping that Jacob's cousins will get their own story too,

Sallie and Jacob have been circling each other for 3 years. They share a connection and partly the reason for that is the 3 nights they spent together a few years back, nights that Jacob has forgotten about.
Sallie is on the run from whom, even she doesn’t know. She realizes that she has stayed longer than is safe in Deer Haven, but since Jacob lives in the same town she just can’t leave.
When Jacob comes to know that Sallie is in danger, all his protective instincts coming roaring out, and there is no way he is going to let her go.
I found this to be a captivating read. It has sizzling chemistry, superb suspense and strong emotions. I really enjoyed this read and the only thing I felt rushed was the ending. Having said that I look forward to reading more in the series.

This journey had my attention right from the start. Sallie Hamblen has enemies, and she truly doesn't understand why, but when she's relocated yet again, she gets introduced to Jacob Donovan. This, the man who ghosted on her three years earlier after a hot weekend while in Switzerland, yet he doesn't remember her, not even a glimmer. Well, two can play at that game and three years manage to go by with no further interaction. Of course, one would have to actually go out and socialize to have any interactions at all.
Nothing is as it seems, here in this small town in CA. Jacob and his men ARE ranchers, but so much more. There's a lot of story here that gets explained as you read along. Mystery, traitors, espionage, murder and more. All really quite intriguing, not knowing who to trust any longer. Jacob's Granny was a bright spot, him being related to almost everyone, along with some of their interactions all added to good bits of humor to some intense times. This also has heat, whew!
I haven’t read the first book of this series, but followed right along with the events of this journey between Sallie and Jacob. I could’ve used more to the whole wrap-up, but I've a feeling there's more to the backstory coming up. This is a stand alone regarding the mains, but part of a series, and I am intrigued. I received an Advance Reader's Copy from St. Martin's Press through NetGalley. All opinions are mine and given voluntarily

"Strong, Silent Cowboy" (Moving Violations Book 2) by Lora Leigh and Veronica Chadwick is a great read. I loved Sallie and Jacob's story. This is the first book I've read in this series and it won't be the last. This story is full of romance, passion, hot cowboys, family, friends, action, twists, interesting characters, and more. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, cowboys, and series.

Romantic mystery with an interesting story if a little farfetched. Characters are good if a bit stereotypical. Quick, light read.

Although I enjoyed the journey with this story and the characters were great but I felt the ending was weak

This a second chance romantic suspense.I really liked the characters. Sallie is a strong, but scared young woman. Jacob is alpha to the maximum. There are a lot of twists and turns, angst and mystery. This book had it all. I quite enjoyed it. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

Wow this book just had me hooked from the very first chapter. I loved the characters and the story line was incredible. This book was HOT, suspenseful, intriguing, and very dramatic. Sallie meets the man she spent days burning up the sheets with and he doesn't even remember her. Deep down Jacob senses he knows her but will he be able to figure out how? Will Sallie be able to figure out why he doesn't remember her? When Sallie is in danger will Jacob be able to protect her? So many questions. If you pick up this book you will get answers to all of them plus so much more. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Sallie and Jacob met years ago in Switzerland and now conveniently they are in the same small town in Texas. Sallie remembers him, but he doesn't remember her for three years. There are a lot of coincidences in this book. And a lot of characters. I wanted to like the book, but I struggled with really caring for the main characters. Did I miss a lot by not reading the first book? The sex scenes were spot on, except for the hickeys. I get Jacob the alpha male wanted to "mark" her, but she did the same. Who gives hickeys on the neck as adults?

I really like this novel, it was fun. Jacob was a very traditional hero (to the point of being ~problematic~, to be honest) and I liked Sallie. The action and mystery part of the book were also very entertaining. 4.3 stars

This was my first Lora Leigh and Veronica Chadwick book and I was very sorry to hear about Ms. Chadwick's passing. May her memory be a blessing to her family.

Wow, this story just exploded from the first page right through to the last one. The extreme chemistry between Sallie & Jacob was an intense inferno that consumed them both. The drama & intrigue kept us on the edge of our seat as we watched as Sallie was stalked & terrorized by unknown assailants expecting her to lead them to the man they wanted, a man with no clue who she was due to amnesia from a traumatic brain injury. As we watched Sallie’s life crumble around her, we see Jacob claim her & as his dreams became clearer he realizes that she’s been in his dreams & mind for the last 6 yrs. The struggle to stay alive is real, as is the struggle to not fall in love with Jacob because losing him again might just be the end of Sallie this time. I enjoyed the humour of Jacob’s gram, her sass, grit & love for Jacob was great. As was the teasing friendship of the Culpepper brothers. I’m truly sad this story is done & am looking forward to more in this series. Definitely recommend. Thank you to St. Martin’s Press & Net Galley for allowing me to read this book for an honest review.

OMG, I loved this book. Have you ever read a book that you wish would never end because it was so good? This book has everything you could want in a book, sexy steamy scenes, drama, alpha male, strong female, passion, and sizzling hot scenes (oops, I already said that). The author writes a very engaging story from the beginning to the end. I absolutely enjoyed this book. Even though this book is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. I would recommend this book.

I received an advance copy from NetGalley for my honest opinion.

Slightly better than the first one, but I am still not totally sure I will keep on reading this series, at last the sex scenes were better.

Leggermente migliore del primo, ma non sono ancora sicura se continueró questa serie, anche se le scene hot stanno leggermente migliorando.

THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!

This eARC was sent to me by NetGalley and St Martin's Press in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions are my own and not solicited. Lora Leigh has always written some hot and steamy books and this one is no different. I haven’t read a Cowboy book in quite a while. Though I loved Lora Leigh’s Breeds series so I thought I would try one out for a change. I felt this book took me on an emotional ride throughout which is what I want from a book. I felt everything that both Sallie and Jacob felt. I hated that Sallie was on the run until she finally found a safe place to land and that was where she found love again. I loved this book. Would recommend it to any romance fan.

What a fitting tribute to the late author Veronica Chadwick. I loved this series from the first book, who doesn't love a hunky cowboy, but the series always contained so much heart, and this continues strongly in the 2nd book.

Sallie has been fleeing from an unknown assailant for years now. Her step-father finally sent her to a small town to hide out amongst cowboys. She made an impact on Jacob Donovan on her arrival but she has always been "frosty" towards him although perfectly pleasant. That may have something to do with the torrid weekend they shared years ago which he has conveniently blanked from his mind! But instead of confronting him, Sallie just lays low and tries her best to fade into the crowd.

Jake obviously never got the memo cos the last thing he wants is Sallie to fade. He is haunted by dreams of a faceless woman who ties his emotions in knots. He thought he was only missing mission details from his head injury but what else could be missing? When danger comes for Sallie again, there is no way Jake is letting her run. She is his to protect, he just has to get to that!

Ex-CIA agent, naive diplomats daughter, hot steamy nights, a mission gone wrong, and miscommunication - they all mix into a wonderfully full, addictive, and heartbreaking story. Great cameos from gun-toting grannies, alpha male cowboys, and special agent veterans.

I truly hope this series continues and there are so many other characters worthy of books. Fabulous read!

I received this ARC for an honest review. I really don’t have much to say about this story except It’s really didn’t do much for me. I got bored only after a few chapters. It took me a while to finish it because I kept stopping to read other books.
