When I see a Nora Roberts title on the shelf at a bookstore, without any hesitation, I know I'll enjoy the book. Legacy was no different.
In true Roberts fashion, this story provided a rollercoaster of emotions and really tugged at my heartstrings! Whew.

Legacy is divided into three parts. One being Adrian's backstory and her growing up, which moved pretty quickly. Parts two and three provide more depth into Adrian's story as an adult and it felt like the pacing was a bit slower once the story settled into adult Adrian. There's even a look into the eyes of the crazed killer! Definitely some suspense and thrill from this story and just enough romance to keep the warm and fuzzy feelings Roberts is so good at providing!

Thank you St. Martin's Press via NetGalley for the e-arc to read and review!

Nora Roberts is by no means a novice. She has written amazing stories and all very good.

This book, Legacy is no exception. It is very well written with well-crafted characters and a believable storyline.

she weaves a story that captivates. Job well done!

This was the first Nora Roberts book I have ever read, but definitely not the last!

I'm not going to give a synopsis of the story. I will leave that to others. What I will say is the characters were well written and relatable. I enjoyed the friendships that endured through the years.

There was a little mystery and a little romance so this book will appeal to readers of either genre. I highly recommend this book.

I have always been an avid Nora Roberts fan. As always, her stories are well thought out with complex characters and great plot twists. While I enjoyed reading this story, the first chapter was action packed and then the story slowed way down, dragging here and there. All in all, it was a good read.

I am on the fence with this book. I am a big fan of Nora Roberts titles but this one tries too hard to be a thriller and a romance. I really liked the beginning -Adrian, the main character, a seven year old witnesses her mother killing a man who comes to attack her. The man ends up being Adrian's estranged biological father she had never met-she was illegitimate and the psycho father felt Adrian had ruined his life by being born through an affair he had with Adrian's mother Lina. Then we are in the weeds with Adrian and her nerdy friends for quite awhile. Nothing happens -the characters are all perfect and successful and rich. There are too many side stories and too many other characters that you never get to really know. I don't think I would have read this if I knew what the book would end up being. However, Nora Roberts is a very good writer. The writing itself is so descriptive and I did like the perfect Adrian. I read too many thrillers but this would be good for a fairly new reader to the genre.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read and review.

Nora Roberts is a masterful story teller. The settings played out before my eyes in remarkable detail. The characters, full of depth and complexity, are hard to turn away from. The story follows the life of Adrian Rizzo from a child through adulthood. Her strength, compassion and fierce determination is inspirational. The vivid characters and remarkably clever, page-gripping plot, made this a fast paced read that I had trouble putting down. Norah weaves family dynamics, friendship, real life challenges, murder, romance, and an awesome cast of characters into a tale that just won’t quit. I loved every minute of it!

Nora Roberts truly is the Mistress of contemporary women’s fiction. Her latest standalone novel, LEGACY, is aptly named. Adrian Rizzo grows up with a legacy of lies, murder, and revenge all which change the trajectory of her life.

Like all Roberts novels, this one has loving families, for-life friends, intrigue, murder, celebrity stalking, and, of course, romance.

The illegitimate daughter of a yoga maven and a disturbed English professor, Adrian’s biological father tries to kill her and her mother when Adrian is just seven years old. Mother and daughter survive, but Adrian’s life is forever changed. Sent to live with her grandparents to keep her out of the limelight, Adrian grows to a snarky teen with a plan. That plan: to be her own woman. While still in high school she starts on that plan and meets her best friends for life along the way.

The mystery part of this novel involves a celebrity stalker who has been sending Adrian sick poems from the time she becomes famous. How Adrian deals with this individual fills the second half of the book. Along the way she reconnects with childhood friends, becomes even more famous, and starts to heal the broken relationship she has with her mother., all while building her brand an taking care of her grandfather.

The book is long, but there isn’t a word or scene that’s not perfect for the storytelling.

I was lucky enough to read an arc of this novel prior to publication, so thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin’s press. It was truly an honor to read such a fabulous story.

Oh my God, was this an amazing book. It was a serious page turner, and Ms. Roberts has created another masterpiece. I fell for Adrian and Raylan, and the rest of the crew that made up this tale. I’ve been a long time reader of Nora Roberts, and if she keeps putting out books like this, I’ll never stop. Absolutely awesome! I did receive an advance reading copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is classic Nora Roberts. It definitely could have moved along a bit quicker with the action, but it was a sweet story overall. I am also not a fan of the name Raylan for the main guy.

Kindly received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley and Little, Brown/ Piatkus for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book so much! She does such a fantastic job of mixing romance with mystery. I got so drawn into the characters and their lives that I hated any time I had to put the book down. This book brings out all the feels with the deaths of many characters, each of which create a turning point for either our hero or our heroine but brought out a lot of snot and tears in this reader.

This is a well done book by Nora Roberts, she is an author that I can always rely on for a great read. She is able to combine romance and mystery into one which isn't an easy feat. She takes her readers into a world only she can create and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The characters were fantastic and unique in their own ways. While reading, I was constantly trying to formulate the ending in my thoughts. When I feel like I finally had it solidified there was a twist that had me second guessing. I truly appreciate an author that can combine a romance with a mystery and do it well, given that they are two polar genres, but again Nora knows exactly what she's doing. She has perfected her writing craft and this is a prime example of the depth of her writing skills.

For Nora Roberts fans, you will enjoy. For those who like romance, family drama and a serial killer added in, you will enjoy:
The plot of Legacy was predictable but the likable characters will draw you into their story. You will want to find out what happens to Adrian, her family and friends.
Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Nora Roberts has done it again! The heroine of the book, Adrian, is a fitness guru, as is her mother, Lina. To protect her daughter, Lina kills Adrian's father in an act of self-defense (not a spoiler, this is what opens the story). Over time, Adrian develops a large group of friends, some of whom move, as she does, to her hometown. Since she was about 17, Adrian has received poems written and sent by an anonymous stalker. The confrontation between Adrian and her stalker provides the climax to the story.

And she does it again! Nora Roberts hits it outta the park. Nobody writes family, extended family, and closeness like Ms Roberts. I loved this story, loved all the characters, the locale, the food, the kids, the dogs. Going to go read it again. Right now. 10 Gold stars

The typical Nora Roberts novel. Interesting and worth a read, however I found it a bit slow paced. I think I liked Raylen’s character more than Adrian’s. Part of his story is heartbreaking and brings you to tears.

In the words of Adrian and Rayman, this book checked EVERY one of my boxes - small town, community, family, children friendships, community, second chances, romance and mystery.(not necessarily in that order).

I also love the fact that the story builds over a long time frame, as does the romance.

There was laughter and there were tears, and once I started it, I could not put it down until I was finished. Now I can't wait to read it again.

This is a wonderful read. I have loved Nora Roberts for years, and this book is a perfect example of why. You get all the emotions : true love, humor, friendship, fear, loss, grief, a really evil big bad - everything you want in a book. Its cliché to say "i laughed and I cried" but I absolutely did. I cheered when the big bad got his due, and sighed when love was found.

As always there are a stellar cast of supporting characters. This is where I believe Ms. Roberts shines and puts herself at the top of her field. Her supporting characters are fleshed out with real lives, loves, triumphs, and tragedies. I end up worrying about and cheering for them as much as the main characters.

I love this book, and highly recommend you read it. It is a wonderful story and a demonstration of an author as the master of her craft.

Thrilling beginning and end but drags through out the middle. I think all the standard RS tropes were used also.

Nora Roberts hits all the right notes on family, friends, and most importantly love. Adrian Rizzo suffers a traumatic experience when she was a child when she, her mother, and nanny are attacked. Her mother takes her to her grandparents in Travelers Creek to avoid the publicity. There Adrian meets 10 year old Raylan Wells. Soon she goes back to her mother and life goes on. Raylan marries, has two children, and mourns when his wife is killed in a school shooting. Adrian becomes famous with her fitness routines.

I loved that Nora uses her granddaughter’s name, Kayla, as a character in the story. The story centers on family and all the iterations that family can mean. I would have read this in one sitting but my eyes couldn’t stay open at midnight.

Loved this book and the chance to review it.

I received this book as an ARC from Netgalley and this is my honest review.

I’ve heard of Nora Roberts before but this is the first book of hers that I’ve read and I absolutely loved it! I expected a romantic suspense novel but it was so much more than that I’m not really sure how I would class it. The first half had very little suspense but I loved the way that it built up the characters and spanned over a period of time so that you could see them all grow. It really made you root not just for the main characters but also the minor characters as well and it really set it up for the more action packed second half. Adrian was slightly too preachy about the merits of diet and exercise but there was something so likeable about her that I didn’t really care and the dogs just stole the show in the book for me, definitely my two favourite characters! I can’t wait to start getting into some of Nora Roberts previous books now.
