I got this on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review!
This was a pretty fun read, and I really liked how sex positive it was! I feel like often stuff like this can get VERY slut-shame-y so thank god this wasn't like that. I especially loved that both have a life outside of each other, and his parents are so fun!

So, I asked to read a ARC of this graphic novel because I thought the cover art was cute. I wanted something light. The art in the comic was bright and cheery, it suited the lightness of the story well.
I enjoyed reading this, it is funny! A mere 5 star rating system doesn’t leave a lot of room for nuance. I’d give it about a 3.5 myself. Depending of your opinion of the subject matter you might go much lower or higher. The thing about this book is it’s a running string of sex jokes. Most are one page long. It progresses the couple through their relationship from a chance childhood encounter, the only bit without sex jokes... to adulthood and eventual marriage. This is Not for the easily offended or anyone of delicate sensibilities. Some of the jokes are really funny, some are pretty puerile. If the low brow and off color humor sounds good to you you’ll enjoy it but it’s definitely not for everyone

A demon and an angel fall in love and live out the stereotypical romance. Nothing too original about this concept. It's very light-hearted, very raunchy - bordering on softcore porn - which Mirka Andolfo's known for, having seen his other comics, given his propensity for bewbs and the curvy female form. Which is fine - I'm a red-blooded straight dude - but it gets tiresome after a while. The stories aren't that great - demon is your average dude, angel is a cartoonish simpleton, one's trying to sleep with the other, the other one's reluctant - and there isn't anything surprising about the path it takes. Romance, marriage, kids, etc. Not the worst read in the world, and saved in part by the art, but definitely not a terribly good or compelling comic.

I appreciate having had an opportunity to read and review this book. The appeal of this particular book was not evident to me, and if I cannot file a generally positive review I prefer simply to advise the publisher to that effect and file no review at all.
