I enjoyed reading this graphic novel. Chip is back and hoping to get back to normal. Life of course has other plans. The artwork is good and suits the story. There is a lot of sex and violence, so reader beware. You should read Volume 1 first.

Thank you to Netgalley and the author for allowing me to read this!

This was fun. I loved the art. It was very much what we needed after book 1. Great job to the author! I know I am behind so I need to look into volume 3.

Now I have to read Dark Red Vol. 1

I devoured this graphic novel. Yes, it was that good. The artwork is superb. The storyline better than an 80"s movie extravaganza. Let's take a walk on the wild side, shall we?

Chip is back in Fall's End attempting to go on with life as usual. Unfortunately for Chip, he finds himself in a strange relationship with a vampire hunter, he is missing the love of his life, and he stumbles upon a creature that should not exist. That absolutely could not exist. This creature exists. Now, off to the races we go: to find a lost love, to reunite a child to her kind, to confront an age old evil in a larger than life city. All Chip wants is to move on. It appears life has made other plans.

Oh, and did I mention all the bloody violence and sexual innuendo? Oops! Sorry. Yeah that too.

Thanks to NetGalley, Aftershock Comics, Tim Seeley, and Corin Howell for a copy of an ARC in return for an honest review.

The second volume of Dark Red. This is a new story arch. After his war with vampires Chip really just wants things to get back to normal, but something else has come to town. Issues 6-10 of Dark Red

Chip is my all time favorite vampire! I love this story so much I have all of the single issues on my pull list, ordered exclusive covers signed by Tim Seeley, preordered every trade, and requested this review from Netgalley just so I could rave about how amazing this story is. The second arch was just as amazing as the first and I cannot wait to see where it is going next. Everyone needs to be reading this book!

I enjoyed reading this one though with a pinch of salt and a bit of vinegar.

I wish the characters were better represented and the artwork a bit better sequenced.

I wasn't expecting a lot of violence. But it's fine regarding the plot. Beasts. Beware!

I hope the sequel is better.

Thanks to the publisher and the Authors for providing me the copy.

First i would like to thank NetGalley for a copy of this to review.

Graphic novels are always so hard to review. So much skill an creativity goes into the actual art of the book an i love that. Especially considering i am not artistically able. Lol. But i really enjoying this graphic novel. It was different an entertaining for sure!!

A very interesting concept, a redneck vampire ! I almost expected to see the Proud Boys make an appearance at a trump rally 😉 this is a well written, very well drawn tale that explores some uncomfortable facts in modern day, I will definitely be reading more, my only caveat being doing we really need all the scantily clad over developed bodies? If you want to portray reality then be honest
