This is an extremely comprehensive cookbook for all the Disney Parks. Not just Disneyland, but Epcot, California Adventure, Animal Kingdom, etc. I’ve been to all of these but had no idea there were so many options and that there are pumpkin spice churros and raspberry rose Mickey macarons?? The only complaint I do have is I wish there were more pictures.

This book is like a childhood dream come true! I didn’t buy many cookbooks anymore because I never use them, but this is one I just might need to own! Full of many childhood Disney favorite treats, and lots of new treats that look amazing!! Many of the recipes look pretty easy to make.

A super fun, magical book with so many delicious recipes! The thing I love most about it is how it allows me to have a bit of the magic of Disney right in my very own kitchen. Great for adults and children alike.

This cookbook is magical!

I love Disney! But living in the Midwest I've only been to Disney World three times; once when I was 10, once in high school and once about three years ago as an adult. The parks are so magical and being there as an adult without kids is just as magical as being there as a kid. That said, I've never been to Disneyland.

Not having been but a few times I'm not completely familiar with the food and treats that are in the park, at least not taste wise.

I follow a good number of Disney inspired content creators and ALL of them talk about the food and seasonal treats! So I am at least slightly familiar with a good chunk of sweets around the parks.

This book has so many recipes that I don't know where I'm going to start! I bookmarked so many that I want to try!

For the most part, this book gives very clear instructions and background information on each recipe! There are a few that I looked at that I probably won't ever attempt though. Some just seem like they would take a lot of time and effort.

It's also important to note that some of these recipes require equipment that may not be in every household: ice cream maker, shaved ice maker, pressure cooker, and a steamer basket. While I do have an ice cream maker (yay! Dole Whip here I come!) I don't have the others and probably won't ever make those recipes.

Top 3 things I'm most excited to try out:

The Grey Stuff - Beauty and the Beast will probably always be my number one! So of course I'm interested in the grey stuff, I hear it's delicious! When we went a few years ago I wanted to eat at the restaurant that has this, but we didn't have a reservation and didn't have the time. There are two versions of this recipe, one for each park.

LeFou's Brew - Another thing I wanted to try three years ago! I had gone into Gaston's Tavern and ordered this, but they were out. Very disappointed cause it sounds delicious and I can't wait to get the ingredients to try it out!

Dole Whip - Duh?

It seems like most the recipes in this book are sweets, which makes sense since a lot of the treats in the parks are sweets. I'm very excited to try some of the non sweets as well. There's this Mac n Cheese with pulled pork I've got my eye on. Also a handful of fun popcorn recipes!

Overall, this book has everything! If you're a fan of the food at the parks this is a fun cookbook to have! Would make the perfect Christmas gift too! I can't wait to actually dig in and make some of these!

I absolutely loved this. I will definitely be buying it when it is published. The colors, the pictures, the thorough recipes and the magic. Some of it is difficult to immolate but Ashley Craft really makes it as easy as possible. This would make an excellent gift for your favorite Disney lover!

Whether or not you grew up eating these delicious treats from Disney Parks, you want this awesome cookbook! The recipes are the real deal and show you how to replicate some of the most loved recipes, from savory to sweet. The recipes are easy to follow, and none feel cumbersome to make. I like that it includes equipment needed to create these treats, as most, but not all, are common household kitchen tools. The only thing that would have made this book better was a picture of every single recipe. I definitely recommend this cookbook for all fans of Disney treats.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own, freely given.

For someone who misses Disney, what a wonderful read! I would happily buy this for someone else, especially as a Christmas gift! The recipes are wonderful and east to follow and it is also stunning in print, I am sure. The kindle version was a bit odd in formatting, but I hope to buy the cookbook in paper form when it comes out since it would be a wonderful addition to my collection:)

As a former Disney Annual Passholder, I am missing out on my Disney fix these days. I heard about this cookbook and I was eager to preview it!

The cookbook features specialties and treats sorted by each WDW theme park including Disneyland and California Adventure.

Besides Mickey Waffles and Dole Whips, some recipes that I'm eager to attempt include Peanut Butter & Jelly Milkshakes, Raspberry Rose Mickey Macarons, Blue Milk, and LeFou's Brew.

This Disneyphile author and former cast member has been featuring her WDW inspired treats on her popular blog for years and decided to compile them all into a cookbook which will be released on Nov 10th! Great Christmas gift idea! Thanks to Ashley Craft and Simon & Schuster for a digital preview copy of this book!

Everything about this book was great--this would make the perfect gift for any Disney fan. Craft uses her love of the company and knowledge from internships to provide a well rounded selection of recipes and introduction to the history of food in "The World." I'm not surprised at all to learn just how busy Cosmic Ray's is.

The cover and inside graphics were perfect and I especially loved that the recipes were organized at the beginning of each section like a Disney Parks map. Craft includes popular recipes from each of the American parks (including churros, School Bread, Mickey pretzels, and Dole Whips (!)), with easy to follow recipes that include ingredients and supplies that most will already have on hand (I may just have to invest in an ice cream machine for those Dole Whips...)

My only complaint? I wish the book included EVERY Disney recipe. All kidding aside, because I know that's just impossible--this is a must have for anyone missing Disney restaurants right now. I can't wait to try these recipes and feature this book on Bookstagram. And I can't wait to get my hands on a finished copy.

Special thanks to NetGalley, Abrams Media, and Ashley Craft for giving me the opportunity to read this for review. This one was a privilege.

This book is a delicious feast for the eyes and includes a variety of recipes from Disneyland and Disney World. The book opens with a brief history food in the Disney parks (did you know Cosmic Rays is the busiest restaurant in the US?) and the. Has a section on necessary materials for cooking. And then come the recipes, and oh how delicious they are! They are divided into the various lands, and each recipe states where within the Land it can be found. From churros to Dole Whip you can bring Disney to your home. I do wish there were pictures for every recipe, but overall a great gift for any Disney loving cook.

If you are missing Disney Parks as much as I am at the moment, you will have to get The Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook! Dole Whip, Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums, The Peter Pan Float, Churros, Mickey Waffles, Ronto Wraps, Blue and Green Milk, need I go on?

Honestly, I am more of a casual cook, but these recipes have me excited to try somethings out. With that being said, I don’t have all cooking “tools” that are required- I think that is important to keep in mind, especially if you have kids. It would be disappointing if you discovered you needed a shaved ice maker and didn’t have one.

But in any case, I was THRILLED to receive this ARC. Thank you to NetGalley and Adams Media for granting it, in exchange for an honest review.

One of the main issues I have with Disney cookbooks is that everything is overly complicated and not the type of recipes most average cooks would even attempt. This is not that book. I was super impressed that these recipes were not only simplified for a home cook, but were CURRENT foods that you would find in the parks today. If you are a Disney Parks foodie, you will recognize all of these recipes right away and will even know where you can find them in the parks. I appreciated that. You could easily make these recipes with kids and the foods are all family friendly, too. I would have loved to see more food photos to accompany the recipes as there were only featured photos for certain foods. Otherwise, great book that I can see holding people over until their next visit to the parks!

There are so many people who are just itching to go travel right now, but some people are still not feeling comfortable doing so or some places are still closed down or they lost jobs during the pandemic and it just isn't possible. Disney parks are open but for those who can not make the trip but who want to bring a little magic home, The Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbokok is a great way to do so. The ever popular, and my favorite Disney treat, the Dole Whip makes an appearance here, but there are also so many different treats, drinks, and foods to try at your home. If you are ever planning a Disney themed party, this could be the sole resource for food. It is also a great go to for fun treats for your kids (or the Disney kid in your) especially during this tough time we are all going through right now with the pandemic. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a little magic and light or of course to Disney lovers.

As a former Disney Cast member, I love looking at cookbooks related to the parks. I've had more Dole Whip floats and enjoyed 'eating around the world' at Epcot than I can count. The cookbook is broken up by Parks and there are tons of recipes for each park. While some are not the 'authentic' recipe (I mean, dole whip is literally a powder mix and water - which the book does mention!) it is a great way to have your Disney fix at home without having to travel! This is definitely a cookbook to add to your collection if you are a Disney fan.

Easy to follow recipes. Great back story and info on each recipe and where you would get the original. I will be using this recipe book to cook with my kids. What a fun idea to compile recipes from the happiest place on earth.

Visit any of the iconic Disney parks you are guaranteed to leave with memories of immersive experiences, rides and thrills, branded merchandise and, of course, favorite snacks and meals. The Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook delivers copycat recipes of many of the most popular edibles from the Florida and California locations.

The beginning of the book contains an enjoyable brief history of the parks and culinary experiences. The following pages contain illustrations and descriptions of the cooking essentials required in order to create the foods within the cookbook’s pages. The recipes themselves were organized by park, with a clear table of contents and an alphabetic index. The food photos were gorgeous and I enjoyed perusing the maps of each park.

It was an interesting experience for me to realize that the majority of the treats that I remember most vividly from my own visits to Disney World are ones to enjoy in hot weather. I was thrilled to see that the Dole whip, frozen lemonade, and Mickey shaped ice cream sandwiches grace the pages of this book. Sadly, I no longer own an ice cream making machine so I was unable to recreate these and other tempting frozen treats.

I read each recipe and was shocked at how simple many of them were. S’mores, for example, lists as ingredients that have been used by campfires for decades with the twist of using white chocolate candy bars. I also spotted a recipe for chili-lime corn on the cob with a common sense ingredients list of three: corn, butter, and chili-lime spice.

It is an undisputed fact that Disney churros are delicious. This cookbook has many different riffs on the basic churro, presented like a fresh recipe each time. There is baked lobster macaroni and cheese and baked macaroni and cheese with pulled pork. Several “different@ popcorn recipes also appear in this cookbook.

Most of the other recipes also seemed relatively simple. I have made many of these with, perhaps, very slight variations over the years as a home cook. Could it be that Disney is using such common recipes? Is the “magic” a function of the experience and not the food itself? I was left wondering if perhaps these copycat recipes might be an oversimplification of the Disney dining experience.

The reality is that the book itself is beautiful. It would make a lovely gift for Disney lovers for occasions such as a bridal shower or an older child’s birthday. Most of the recipes could easily be made together as a family. It is unlikely that these recipes would impress seasoned home cooks or true Disney fanatics.

Thank you to NetGalley, author and publisher for the chance to read this book. The opinions in my review are completely my own.

Exactly as described. Full of Disney inspired recipes for both food and drink.
Packed full of recipes with added info on the story of where they came from.
My children also loved this picking familiar recipes out themed around their favorite Disney characters as a treat to make.
As expected certainly not for the health conscious and many ingredients may be difficult to come across, but overall a fun tasty, Disney themed cookbook perfect to follow as an activity with children.
Thankyou to netgalley for the preview of this book.

I was so excited to find this book. It includes two of my favorite things, Disney and cooking. Now Disney fans will love finding recipes for some of their favorite Disney foods at home. Just imagine making a Dole whip at home on a hot summer day. Or maybe you would like to try those delicious turkey legs. The recipes are divided by parks complete with a park diagram showing where in the park you are likely to find this food. This is a great way to get the family cooking together. I was disappointed that the Park Fare Strawberry soup was not included. Maybe another book. If you need me I will be in the kitchen making some Mickey Macaroons!

I really liked this! More than I expected to like it. It’s organized by park and the locations of the original treats are on the map. Instructions are easy.

I’ve made four of the recipes so far and 3 are definitely keepers!

The only negative, and it’s sort of a given, is that for some of the “fancier” treats you need more equipment. That said, if you’re buying a Disney cookbook, I feel like that should be expected.

I’ll definitely be using this again!
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.
