I received a copy of this audiobook for the publisher/author to review.
Boring. Tiresome. Predictable. That's how Trish's husband of almost 30 years described her when he told her he was leaving. Trish sets out to drink her blues away when she literally stumbles onto a man who offers her the adventure of a lifetime. Trish has no idea what she's walking into when she visits Bliss, the local BDSM club, but under Dave's tutelage, she takes to the new lifestyle readily. And when she is paired for two weeks with Clint, the one Dom in the place who can't seems to stand her, sparks fly. He keeps her so confused that Trish isn't sure what is going on. She is falling for the handsome, tortured soul, and she's hoping he's falling for her. But when a simple mistake puts her in harm's way at his hands, Trish has to decide: Is it an adventure worth dying for? And when everything falls apart, can she manage to forgive him? More importantly, can he forgive himself and bury the ghosts that have been haunting him for too long?
I listened to the audiobook of this one. I will go ahead and say that I am not the biggest fan of the Narrator. With that said it really go one my nerves listening to this one as Anneliese Rennie does the man and the woman voices and when she was the man I swear I cringed. I just don't like that. Why not have a man by the man and woman do the woman parts. Now I will admit that some people can do both voices but I wasn't the biggest fan or her doing both voices. At times it was cringe worthy. But I refused to let that take away from the story that I was listening too. Because I loved it. A story of an older woman in a marriage that has lasted a long time is different to most books you read or listen too. I loved the story. I sucked me in and had me right there. That place where all readers love for a book to take them. Since I wasn't a fan of the narrator I would have loved reading this one so much more than listening to it. I am giving the story five stars because Deanndra Hall deserves it. It's an amazing story. The narrator....not so much.

Adventurous Me is a toxic entry into the BDSM world. From the characters to the plot, all of it seems half-baked. Our main heroine is akin to Bella from Twilight and the borderline harmful situations that she allows herself to be put in give a very negative view of this kink. For a book so full of sex, it is surprisingly dull and boring.

Thank you NetGalley for the Advanced Reader Copy in an audiobook format. This was a book will have you holding your breath while the main character pushes her comfort level. The only part I felt was odd was the male characters relationship.

This is my third novel by this author with a different story altogether. I have read my share of erotica, but only a few with this much BDSM in it. It’s definitely an eye-opener and far beyond my experience but to each his own.
Trish is one gutsy woman. Choosing the BDSM scene at 49 years old certainly is a big change and after all, what has she got to lose. Her ass of a husband just dumped her calling her boring and she quit her job. So the adventure begins. The hot and volatile Clint wanted Trish from the moment he saw her and with Dave’s sleight of hand, she was paired with Clint for two weeks. Two weeks as sub and dom. Two weeks of Clint’s unpredictable behavior. Two weeks of her losing her heart to a man who set her up for failure.
As audiobooks go, this was a pleasant change just to lie back and listen to a good book. Personally, I give the narrator, Anneliese Rennie, kudos for tackling such difficult subject matter. However, as narrators go, I felt her intonations and vocal changes for the characters to be lacking and sometimes hard to listen to.
This is a full-length erotic romance between an honorable woman and a broken man. There are many sexual triggers in this book and there were some things I even flinched at, but there is truly a love story in here as well. Sit back with a glass of wine, and be prepared for an over-the-top sensual ride filled with desire, conflict, and awakenings.
Thank you to Ms. Hall for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

If Trish was boring, tiresome, and or predictable, I could not find it. She did things for the first time with gusto and excitement. Trish finds herself in a funk filled haze of "AmI?" swirling in her head because of an ex that had no cue. While in this funk she meets Dave. Dave introduces her to a world that she could have only imagined. Her first night at Bliss opens her eyes to that something that was missing from her world.
Trish finds that her new found her has a bit of kinky side. She finds that she is freer than ever. She finds an attraction that would lead to her world being changed forever. She also learns she is stronger than her ex gave her credit for. This was most certainly an adult story. There were floggers, gags, benches, public sex, stranger sex, humiliation and more. Trish found her life at a point to decide should she or shouldn't she.
This was a complete first person narrative told from Trish's viewpoint. I loved that she found herself. I hated that she let her new found self almost be trampled out of existence. Anneliese Rennie brought Trish's new world into a clearer perspective. I found a few areas that felt like gaps existed. I found areas that just plain made me angry. I found that I had to finish it because I had to know more than just the ending.

This book was ok but not really by cup of tea. It was a good story but did not resonate with me personally and I did learn some new things I did not know about though. I am not interested to read more.

Trish is devastated when her husband of almost 30 years dumbs her for being boring. She meets a mysterious man in a bar and when he invites her to a different kind of club she agrees and that is when she starts to truly discover herself.
I know the description is a bit boring, but the book itself is great.
I really enjoyed this book. I love how Trish is introduced to the life of BDSM. It's so through compared to a lot of other BDSM books I've read. I also like that it's not just focused on a BDSM club but rather it focuses on the relationship between Trish and Clint. I always love reading about characters relationship development.
The one thing that wasn't really for me, was the fact that Trish is quite a bit of older than Clint and that for me is not pleasant. It doesn't make the worse or anything, I'm just young still and it's hard for me to put myself in her place on that aspect of the story.
The characters are great, although, I kind of wished that Trish would settle down with another character, but towards the end Clint changes for the better.
This is also a quick book to listen and I actually listened it in a day.
I didn't really enjoy the narrator. Her voice for some reason just isn't for me, but it got better toward the end as well.
All in all, a great book and a brilliant start of a series

Trish has spent the last three decades with her husband only for him to tell her that she dull, so she is determined that her future will be different. After a few drinks too many at a bar she meets Dave who introduces her to a BDSM club which is an eye-opening revelation. After a few experiences she agrees to spend two weeks with a Dom, but she wasn’t expecting to be matched up with one Dom who doesn’t want to be around her.
Clint is living with the demons of this past which still haunts him. When presented with the opportunity to tutor Trish in the intricacies of the lifestyle he agrees despite the fact that she inspires feelings in him that he didn’t think he would ever feel again. When their time together comes to an end will they be each other’s salvation or downfall?
I really liked how Trish was able to push her boundaries and find what makes her happy and while some of his treatment of Trish was questionable, he does redeem himself in the end. I listened to an audio copy of the book and I did enjoy the narration, but I would have preferred it with dual narration.

Hot. Trish is coming out of a divorce. Her confidence knocked then she meets a stranger who offers to teach her to be more adventurous. Dave starts her training.
Then following an event at the club she is paired with Clint. She moves in for two weeks to be his sub. How will it go.?
Made for very enjoyable listening but I wasn’t a fan of the narrator.

Adventurous Me is the first book I have read by author Deanndra Hall.
This book was full of hot, hot, hot sex. I liked how the BDSM world was portrayed in this book. I did not like how Clint treated Trish at many points in this book. I don’t think it was acceptable; especially the final situation, which broke him and Trish apart.
The book overall was good but the chapters sometimes were hard to follow. The chapter would suddenly change to a different time or day and I had to take a second to figure out what was going on.
I would recommend this book to people who like to read about BDSM.

BDSM, Erotic
Simply, Trish is looking for an adventure and boy she finds it, in many ways.and many places.

This audiobook was not for me. I really struggled to with the narration and I just couldn't get into the plot or dialogue. However I feel this may be a personal preference issue. I believe that fans of Fifty Shades, BDSM erotica would enjoy this book.

I almost turned this off in the first chapter because I thought that I was too young for the target demographic, but this book was SPICY. I recommend it for 50 Shades fans who might be tired of clunky, unrealistic dialogue and bad portrayals for the BDSM community.

Adventurous Me by Deandra Hall was a horrible example of Erotica. There was nothing erotic about it. A woman's husband drops her because she's boring, so she goes to a bar to drown her sorrows. She meets a guy and is suddenly perfectly fine in the world of BDSM? The characters were all unlikeable, the doms were idiots and the narrator sounded like an old woman who would never tolerate this kind of behavior. Her tone was very flat and she didn't sound like she was enjoying anything, even when she said she was. Sad that I wasted my time with this one.
Thanks to NetGalley for the audiofile in exchange for my honest review.

This is an Erotica/BDSM Romance, and this is the first book in the Me, You, and Us series. I listen to the audibook of this book, and I have to say I hated the narrator of this book. I did not read a lot of Erotica Romance, and I cannot spoke to the BDSM parts. Of course, there is a ton of sex in this book. I enjoyed the story, but their was parts that I did not like at all. I have to say the narrator really made me give this book only a 2 stars. I was kindly provided an e-audiobook of this book by the publisher (Spectrum Audio) or author (Deanndra Hall) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review about how I feel about this book, and I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

Steamy & hot! This was exactly the sexy type of romantic novel I needed after a dark serial killer book. I really enjoyed the graphic descriptions of the sex stuff.

Adventurous Me by Deanndra Hall unfortunately did not work for me. The narrator didn’t feel right to me, which made it very difficult to stay in the story. To me, the MC came across as immature. Since she was supposed to be close to 30 I didn’t buy into some of her actions and the way she spoke.
As for the story overall, I guess some people enjoyed the erotica. Personally, it felt very forced and blunt. I wish it included more safety information, the basics of BDSM. There is no discussion about limits between a Dom or Master and his sub, in fact most of what happens to her she doesn’t even know what it is. Trish is obviously naive to the lifestyle, which makes it even more important for those basic conversations to take place. She doesn’t even know what a sub is and yet she is being put into situations without knowing what basic terms mean. How is that safe for anyone?
On top of this very basic problem that make me crazy. You have a terrible Dom who mistreats a new sub. This is such a bad situation, but one that happens IRL. The difference is I don’t have to read a book about those situations.
Clint, the Dom, is abusive and should NEVER be a dom. He constantly puts Trish in situations she shouldn’t be in and then punishes her for things that are not within her control. A sub shows up late, it get. A sub plays without permission, I get.
I would not recommend this story because it gives false information about dangerous situations that should be taken seriously and treated with the care they deserve.

I didn't like this book at all.. I didn't think the story was good at all.
Trish’s husband of almost 30 years described her when he told her he was leaving. Trish sets out to drink her blues away when she literally stumbles onto a man who offers her the adventure of a lifetime.

Adventurous Me by Deanndra Hall was not what I expected. I was looking for an erotic romance that had character development and plot development. This title had neither. It could have been a much better book with these two things. The reader is thrown into what felt like a bunch of disconnected sex scenes. These were well-written and extremely graphic. But as a reader of erotic fiction there is actually more to this genre than just sex. When it comes to the Narrator, I’ve listened to this narrator before and enjoyed her narration. This time I hated it. It was probably what she was reading but every time I heard the inner thoughts of Trish I could not help but roll my eyes and think to myself what an idiot! I hate to say that, but I even had my friend listen to about the first 4 hours of this book on a road trip this week and she felt the same way. I’m sorry this is not one I would recommend to any of my friends or purchase for my library’s collection.

“Yes of course, permission granted. Then get your ass back here I want to pound it.”
This is the way the H talks. I couldn’t handle it. Yuck!!
Was there sex in this. Yes. A lot of it. Was it hot. Not really.
I know we’re supposed to feel bad for Clint but I didn’t and that’s the problem. Trish deserved so much better. She was just heartbroken by her ex husband who up and left her after 30 years of marriage. She stumbles into this lifestyle and then goes on this two week adventure with a hot younger man. I really liked the beginning. Trish was older but this young man wanted her. It was a nice change. An older woman, younger man, not a cougar situation. She was naturally submissive and he wanted her. But he treats her so badly. By the end I was just listening to find out what happened.
I don’t feel Trish and Clint belonged together. She deserved better.
