Karen Tuft has a way with writing that sweeps you into the story and you never want to leave. This one was just that way! I loved this thrilling historical romance!

That is a cute regency book with a trully independent, sassy, smart heroine. I loved the characters but I am not so sure that I liked the story itself. It felt a bit overwritten. I believe that it would be more fun if it was a shorter story.
Don't get me wrong, a lot of stuff is happening and actually fast. But after a while you feel that you need to finally reach the epilogue.
Nevertheless, I would recommend it for a lazy reading evening.

First book by the author. I thorough enjoyed the story. The characters are full of personality.

It’s the story of a Duke who is not interested in being another himself into the world and would rather search for any heirs scattered around the world. He is not having any luck. Then there is role as a spy for the crown in select occasions. That is how he meets the spinster Sister heroine of an Earl while exchanging information in the library and their rocky relationship starts.

They author narration is steady, without too much fluff. The events leads to clearing of misunderstandings and really learning more about each other. I will define go back and read other works by the author. It’s pleasant reading without raising your hackles.

A quick read that I enjoyed. A spinster, who believes, she will never marry. A wrong first impression. A duke, who is on the hunt, for his heir apparent or a bride. Susan Jennings, is the spinster and George Kendall is the Duke lA refreshing, historical novel that was well written and had an engaging plot line. Even though this is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone novel.
