I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

Four college friends ones brother and his girlfriend all go to Whisper Island. Soon they start dying. Is one of them the killer or is there someone else on the island? I kind of figured out the killer early on, but I still enjoyed the book quite a bit. Read in one day. 4 solid stars

The whole time I'm reading this book, I have a horror movie soundtrack playing in my head.
There is some sinister and intense creepiness happening on Whisper Island, and (as a huge horror junkie) I'm living for it! This story is reminiscent of the tv show Harper's Island and the movies Ten: Murder Island and Fear Island. If you're a fan of any/all of these, give this book a read.

Four college friends decide to go on a trip to Whisper Island to work on their artistic ventures, get inspired, and possibly do a collaboration piece. That's not the only reason they want to go. Each one of them has their own motive for wanting to disconnect from society and isolate. And each one of them harbors a dark secret. But only one of them has a secret worth killing for!

Love the spooky vibe. But I was also a fan of the rich characterization. Each character had a very district voice and backstory. I felt emotionally invested in them. I was rooting for them. Which made it all the more tragedy when one of them died.
Also, killer (no pun intended) ending!

Another crazy novel from Carissa Ann Lynch that kept me hooked throughout. Didn’t guess the killer. An enjoyable read.

I enjoyed the story telling and the pace of how all the secrets were told.

Getting to the truth did take time but there was plenty to keep a reader engaged and well fleshed out characters which some thrillers can lack. I appreciated how the ending wasn't the obvious choice.

When a pleasure vacation becomes a trip into horror, the characters must solve the mystery or die.
The story built quickly. Carissa Ann Lynch set this group into the perfect escape from everyday pleasure island but when their number increased by two trouble makers, you know the mood has changed and someone must pay for it. I've read many story lines such as this one and still managed to not get the ending totally right. Ms Lynch is now on my "Recommend" list.

This has such a great premise and I had really high hopes. It sounded right up my street. I love horror films, particularly the old-fashioned ‘there’s a killer loose, but we don’t know who or where’ variety, and those ones where a group of people rent a cabin, or an old house, or, indeed, an island, and then start dying. So I was looking forward to this.

Unfortunately, while there was a really sound idea here, the execution ((excuse the pun) didn’t live up to the quality of the idea. The beginning dragged, and the first exciting thing didn’t happen until about half way through. The writing felt in need of a really good edit, and I easily guessed ‘whodunit’ very early on.

So not a hit for me, unfortunately.

Whisper Island is a gripping and page-turning thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end. Carissa Ann Lynch expertly draws the reader into the lives of the four young women, Riley, Sam, Mia and Scarlett, as they journey to Whisper Island on the promise of an unforgettable adventure.

The addition of Sammy's drug addict brother and his girlfriend to the mix immediately throws the four women's plans into chaos and starts a downward spiral that only worsens with each death that occurs. Is someone else on the island, or is it one of the four young women that is the killer?

Told in an easy to read narrative, Lynch manages to skillfully unravel each of the girl's secrets, keeping readers on the edge of their seats and guessing the outcome until the very end. Whisper Island is a must read for those that love the thrill of the unexpected. Preorder your copy today and join the girls on this twisted adventure.

The book definitely held my interest and kept me flipping pages--despite an overabundance of internal (italicized). POV. That grew a little distracting. I enjoyed the story right up until the big reveal of the killer. Part of a mystery is trying to solve the puzzle yourself, but there weren’t enough clues peppered throughout for the ending to make sense. So, the “twist” really wasn’t a twist for lack of set up.

I struggled with this, it was for me it wasn't for me and I was confused at times. It could have been written better and I just couldn't get into it so didn't finish.

This wasn’t for me unfortunately, I couldn’t find myself engaging with the plot or characters and thought it was quite samey to others I have read before

This was a great book!! Very well done, Not rushed but not drawn out, no extra crap bogging it down. It told a great story and the big reveal was done perfectly, I really enjoyed this one. 4.5 stars!

A thriller about a group of art students who travel to a remote Alaskan island. Unbelievable characters and plot. I struggled to finish.

Had been looking forward to reading this book. Sadly it wasn’t for me. It just lacked a good plot to get you excited and wanting more. It was very slow paced and never picked up

A perfect YA slasher book for those who enjoy the young adult books. Sometimes I enjoy them but then sometimes the characters are too childish. Mixture of in between. Would you go to an island for free on the coast of Alaska? I would definitely be needing to know who is all there lol. Thanks Netgalley for this read

I found this incredibly difficult to read, it’s only saving grace was that it was quick!

The characters were uninteresting and the plot unbelievable… The pace was far too slow to begin with and then went far too quick, with an easily guessable ending.

Was not for me unfortunately, one out of five stars.

Thank you NetGalley for the Arc for my hones t review. It did not affect my rating.

I enjoyed the previous 2 books I read by Carissa Ann Lynch, but this book was close to a DNF for me. It wasn't horrible, but it dragged for the first about 40% of the book and then it finally started to pick up. When a book takes that long to pick up, I usually DNF a book. Instead, I would set this book aside, read something else, and then come back to it. Once it picked up, I was hooked and breezed through it. The story is told from the POV of each character, which is fairly common recently. Also, it has a similar set up to many mysteries out there (i.e. middle of nowhere, stuck, no cell service, etc).

I would recommend it and give it 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
