This is a very simplified version of how a virus gets in your body. It seems to be geared toward very young children.

An absolutely adorable adorable and fun book! Interactive and the art style is just precious. I think this would make a great read for kids! Its educational, interactive, and the art is just so much fun to look at!

My Review (with approval from my 6year old)

🦠 This book is lovely. It has beautiful bright and bold artwork and simple, short text - perfect for young children! It really explains the concept of germs and how our bodies fight the germs off!

🦠The illustrations are beautiful, bright, fun and extremely eye catching. I would say that this book is very basic. It doesn’t go into great detail which is great for children who are only just learning about germs/viruses (as it’s not information overload) I would say the book is perfect for children 4/5years and under

👦🏼 My 6 year old enjoyed reading this together tonight - although he already has an understanding in regards to germs and how our body fights off germs - he liked looking through the pictures, was able to read a lot of it himself and it also opened up a discussion about covid-19 and ways in which we can help prevent the spread.

Perhaps this is just too simple for anybody over five years old. I didn’t like the illustrations, the anti bodies looked like little nude men!
Overall a good idea but not successfully handled.

Stop that Virus! is a story about a virus that tries to attack the body. The cells, antibodies, and enzymes have to work together to fight the virus off. This book is a short 14-page board book.

I really liked the images for this book and it's what initially drew me towards it. The pictures are bright, big, and you can see movement and emotion in them, the illustrator did a great job.

The story is very simple and only includes a couple of words that your child might not know but they are explained while you read the book (cell, virus, antibody, virus),

Overall I think this is a very cute book for a child that could be used as an introductory to how the body works.

I have 2 autistic children who’s personal care and hygiene understanding is still at an emerging level. At this current time of pandemic this has obviously been an area of concern for me, and I have really tried to focus in on teaches them about germs and how they are spread and what we can do to prevent them. This little book is a good tool to show how a virus takes hold in the body, and what the body does to fight it. The pictures make the virus into a “baddie” by depicting them as a sort of monster character. The antibodies turn into the little heroic characters that resemble something akin to Mario, who come along and beat the virus into submission. What was lacking for me, which I was expecting from the title, was the information on how to stop the virus entering the body in the first place- which is what we want to aim for really. Having said that I still do think that this book is a valuable teaching aid in these current times, just maybe combine it with some infection prevention books as well.

This is a great way to be able to talk to younger children about viruses.

My daughter is only three but had asked a few times about masks, washing hands and why we can’t do certain things – a prime example being soft play being closed. This book has helped her understand how bodies fight when they are poorly or have a virus. She has had her nasal flu spray too so she got really in to what was happening. It is 4 stars from me for this one – highly recommended!

very simple, great illustrations.
This was a sweet little book, but I do feel it was lacking a little bit. It was simple and I understand it was for a young audience, but I think hygiene (amongst other things) should have been mentioned too.

I really liked the illustrations, and liked the feisty nature of the virus within the illustrations but I do think more should have been included.

Explaining how germs and viruses work in a clever way kids will understand, this book is informative and fun. The illustrations are descriptive without being uninteresting for children or scary.

This book is fantastic for younger children at explaining what happens when someone is poorly with a 'virus'.

This book does a great job explaining a number of terms around "the virus" that kids may be hearing, as well as telling them what happens inside the human body when we encounter a virus. It's easy to understand, facts-forward, I the illustrations are fun and bright. Great book!
