This Kindle book was sent to me by Netgalley free for review. It is dark and mysterious with many red herrings. Difficult to discern what will happen next. I don’t enjoy the foretelling aspect but others might. It is a character driven story with murder and mayhem. Not a cozy mystery.

I got this ARC and immediately went and found the first 3 books so I would know everything that had happened from the beginning. I read all 4 within 1 week. I loved the mystery. A woman disappearing without a trace? It was spooky and a little creepy. Once I started reading I was completely invested from the first page to the last. While I knew the romance part of it was coming, it still was hard to switch gears from them holding each other at arms length to "let's have a relationship!" I liked that they became a team in more ways than one, but it was still a hard switch.

This is a great conclusion to the series, though I'm sad to see it end. Charlie and Wryick are fabulous characters with interesting backstories. I love how they work together and how their relationship slowly developed over the books. The timing was perfect. And the stories of the missing people that they find are interesting as well.

The last straw is an intriguing story that grabs you from page one until the end.. You love getting to know the characters and enjoy their strong self handle on their life.

of characters at times and found it difficult to connect. That could also be due to jumping into book 4 instead of starting with book 1.

Sharon Sala writes a creative and exciting mystery thriller that will keep readers wanting answers. The authors writing ability is spot on for this type of story and has been perfected over the course of the series.

This is a can't miss series and I can't wait to start on book 1.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of Sharon Sala The Last Straw.

This was a great conclusion to the series. I am sad to see it end Wyrick is such an amazing character. She’s strong, intelligent, is a little scary to most but is so vulnerable. Charlie is an alpha male that protects Wyrick at all costs. This book has a lot of twists and turns. The writing is just phenomenal

I haven’t read the earlier books in this series, but now I want to go find them so I can read more about detective Charlie Dodge and his assistant Wyrick. I love Sharon Sala’s romance series about Blessings, Georgia, and now I’ll add this suspense series to my want-to-read list.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

The Last Straw by Sharon Sala. Not having read the previous books in the series, I was confused with not knowing some of the background information but this is a well written, intriguing mystery with interesting characters. Definitely will be reading the previous books in the series to find out more about Charlie and Wyrick.

Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.

Charlie and his assistant Wyrick work together in their PI business. Wyrick has had a rough past to say the least. Now a controversial church has decided she is a danger to society and sends killers after her. They don’t know who they are messing with! Meanwhile they are contacted by the sister of a woman who disappeared from her apartment. This book is filled with twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages. I liked the relationship between Charlie and Wyrick. Even tho this is part of a series it could be read as a stand alone, I hope this isn’t the end of the series. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

This is the last book in this series and I did really enjoyed the ending. Sharon Sala is one of my favorite authors but this book was a little confusing. There were a lot of characters and several different story lines.. but she did do a great job of tying up all 4 books with a prefect ending
