I love to learn about people and this memoir gave me insight and an education in a way of life that is not my own. I'm already an avid Amish/Mennonite fiction reader, so this book was already appealing for the subject matter. This book gives the reader insight on Amish communities in Ohio and Illinois, but South American Amish communities in Honduras. Life is full of trials and tribulations, but there are happier moments and times too. I;d recommend this book for all Amish/Mennonite fiction readers.
