This is precisely the cozy I was looking for to get into spooky season! After a particularly nasty breakup, Mia moves to the actually magical Magic Springs, Idaho to start a new catering/gourmet delivery business. However, Mia isn't your average chef - she's a kitchen witch. The magic system was fun and I'm excited to learn more in future books. The mystery was reasonably well-plotted, although I wasn't entirely sold on how things turned out. The cast of characters was super fun and I can't wait to see how they develop. I have a few favorites that I think will stick around. Overall, this was a delightful start to a series that I'm ready to keep reading!

After her boyfriend deceives her, Mia Malone, a kitchen witch, pulls up stakes to move to her grandmother’s small Idaho town. She plans to open an eatery and best of all, she won’t have to keep her spell casting to herself. This is one small town where magic is nothing out of the ordinary. Mia’s new business, however, takes a turn for the dark side when her first catering client is found murdered under the table. Mia is not only a suspect, she’s also the next potential victim. A quirky and fun little cozy
