I was given a chance to read this book through NetGalley and Kensington Books, thanks! This is the sixth book of the series and takes place almost completely on a yacht which is docked in Greybourne Harbor. Serena and Josh are getting married and this is where it will take place, with several of the guests spending the night. No spoilers. but it seems that several of the guests have secrets that they will do anything to prevent them from coming to light, including the murders of two reporters. In this book it seems that Addie is too often over hearing converstations that give her clues to the case and most of the book is all about her taking chances to find things out. I do know that this is an advance copy, but there were several typos that I hope are fixed before it is published. A couple of romantic twists at the end and a surprise for Addie make it an interesting book.

Much like a locked room mystery, this locked on a ship mystery is just as exciting and with all the possible suspects this one might be more than Addie and her pals can take on especially as the lead investigators seem to be having a power struggle. Excellent characters that have been fully brought to life and a town setting that you wish you could really visit make this series a must read series! While I have loved every book in the series this installment has slightly edged into the lead as my favorite so far as the plot moved quickly with lots of twists and turns to broaden the suspect pool continually! I absolutely can not wait now to read what happens to these characters in the next book as lots of life changes happened for them in this book and I am anxious to see how they all play out!

Bibliophile and mystery solvers are a grand combination and this book does not disappoint the readers of mysteries or those that love books. Characters are enjoyable and the mystery was well plotted and didn't jump to an unsupported conclusion.

I've read all the Beyond the Page Bookstore mysteries, and I think that this may be my favorite one of them all. Addie's friend Serena is getting married despite the many interferences from her fiancé's stepmother, and Addie is determined that everything runs smoothly. She almost gets her wish, even after a troublemaker from the past crashes the reception, but suddenly there's two murders to solve, and Marc, the police chief, has sequestered all the guests on the yacht.

With Serena on her honeymoon and Simon in his lab on shore, Addie pulls in reinforcements to help her follow the clues and brainstorm who-dunnit. Fun to read and full of twists and turns, a nice new cozy to cuddle up with.

Thanks. to Kensington Books for providing access to an ARC via NetGalley.

A wedding is taking place on a luxurious and huge yacht in the harbour. Addie is the maid of honour and has to console the bridge, Serena, when her future mother-in-law takes over the wedding, inviting her own friends to attend. At the reception, an old enemy of the bride appears, drinking copious amounts of champagne and being loud. The next day her body is found floating in seaweed by the yacht. Addie and two friends set about to investigate.

As this is the sixth book in this series and I haven't read any others, I found the large number of characters difficult to keep in my mind. And all the characters seem to be either former boyfriends or relatives of the main ones. I admit I skimmed over the latter chapters. I did enjoy reading about the yacht - one stateroom has two queensize beds!

Thanks to NetGalley for an advance copy.

It's Zach & Serena's wedding, which is now on Zach's father & stepmonster's yacht. I will admit, for this book, one needs to have been reading the series right along. I had missed books 3 & 4, & felt completely lost at the start (& went back & caught up before continuing). The wedding happens, complete with a mystery man murdered the night before, then another murder after the wedding. Ryley shows her true colors, Simon is hardly in the story line, & the girls (Addie, Paige & Catherine) are left to attempt to solve the murder. I had no idea who the murdere was until the person was reviled. Marc throws a wrench at the end, as do Serena & Zach. Getting a bit tired of the Addie/Simon game, hopefully something will happen in the next book-either be together or not.
Thanks to Kensington Books & NetGalley for the ARC ebook.

Just when I think Lauren Elliot's books cannot get any better, she ups her game once again. This is a fantastic series that six books in, shows no signs of slowing down. The characters are engaging and wonderfully drawn. I love that she keeps the mystery fun and the reader constantly guessing. Every time that I think I've got the killer identified, more clues are dropped that make me reconsider my choice. I can only hope that this series continues for a long time.

This was a first for me from this author and will certainly not be my last. It is a very enjoyable mystery that I read in 2 days. It’s extremely well written and keeps the reader interested until the very end. I liked the characters and felt like I could relate to them. The story and plot are both fun and keeps you guessing until the very end. Highly recommend!

The day before the marriage of Addie's best friend, Serena, an unidentified body is found on the beach with no id. From the way the man is dressed, it appears he was on the groom's family yacht for the rehearsal dinner. The bride and groom are not told about the body, and the wedding proceeds as scheduled. The next day, the body of a wedding guest is found on the beach. Other than the guests who left the night of the wedding, everyone else is forced to stay on y=the yacht while the murders are being investigated. Family secrets, tangled relationships and counterfeit first editions are involved.

Great read by a new author for me. The plot is well written and enticing to the reader. The author writes in a way that makes the reader feel like part of The story.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for an advance read of this fun series. Serena is getting married on her in-laws mega yacht. Unfortunately, 2 people are dead by the following day. Addie and friends are confined to the yacht while clues and alibis are checked. Suspects abound so Addie must use all her sleuthing skills if she wants to resume her life.

Love, love, love this series. This book did not disappoint. The mystery was great and I did not see who the murderer was till the end. Sloan and the other cast of characters are fantastic and I feel as if I'm in the story with the vivid details that Ms. Elliott peppers in the storyline. Can't wait till the next book in the series. Side note: these should be read in order since some relationships develop throughout the books.

Under the Cover of Murder by Lauren Elliot was given to me from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Addie Greybourn owns "Beyond The Page" a book and curio shop. Her best friend Serena is getting married to Zack. Now it seems like Veronica, Zack's step-mother, has taken over the wedding. An unknown man is found dead and police chief Marc, Addie's old boyfriend, needs her help. The wedding is taking place on a yacht that has 6 decks. After the wedding, a lady named Lacey is found dead. Addie also discovers fake first editions in the ship's library.
I like the author and have read many of her books. The story has many layers to it, with first editions that are fakes and illegal stops in Cuba and a murder mystery. This book really kept my interest.

I am a fan of Lauren Elliott and was excited to get an advance copy of Under the Cover of Murder and read more about Addie and her adventures along with the other recurring characters. However, I had a challenging time finishing this book, and toward the end, I really didn't care what was going to happen. The dialogue felt weak and stilted. There were several instances of characters talking about things that the other already knows, such as the sewing shop's location and Paige telling the main character the name of the shop and location, which the main character already knows. These types of character comments and dialogue bogged down the flow of the story and pulled me away from wanting to read more.

Much Ado....
A Beyond The Page Bookstore mystery and bookshop owner Addie is hot on the heels of a killer. With a wedding, rare books, yachts and murder there is much ado. Very enjoyable cosy mystery with a likeable protagonist in Addie and a colourful cast of supporting characters. A worthy addition to the series.

In this latest installment Addie’s best friend Serena is getting married on her in-laws yacht. Not the wedding she wanted, things are already on edge when her old friend/ nemesis crashes the reception, nasty and drunk. An unidentified body washed up on shore a few days ago, and a second person is missing from the yacht, so Addie and her friends are in lockdown until the mystery is solved. The silver lining for Addie is the yachts library filled with rare first editions, or are they?
Two mystery plots are blended together in a satisfying way but the middle of the book bogs down considerably, or maybe I’m just getting tired of Addie and her friends who seem to have the same dialogue book after book. I’m also glad we don’t hear much from her obnoxious cousin this time. I did like the plot twist with Marc at the end of the book, but this series for me I’m sorry to say is getting to be the same old same old.

I enjoy books within the setting of a bookstore. This story takes place on a yacht also-not as intriguing. Reading an early copy for review for Netgalley was my choice-because of the title. It became tedious, at times, to keep track of the characters. I struggled to finish this novel. There were times, however, when I wondered about what would happen next. A quick read...

It promises to be Greyborne Harbor's wedding of the year. The impending nuptials of Serena Chandler and Zach Ludlow will take place aboard his family's luxurious super-yacht, currently moored in the harbor and the talk of the town. But on the day of the wedding, a man's body washes up on the beach with no ID, only a torn page from a book in his pocket. As owner of Beyond the Page Books and Curios, bibliophile Addie is called in to identify the book, but she cannot. And of course more murder and mayhem ensue. This was a fun mystery but unlike many cozy mystery stories, this one was complicated and kept you guessing until the end. This is such an enjoyable series and was a nice break from some of the darker books I have been reading. Thank you NetGalley for the advanced readers copy to review.

Serena and Zach’s big day has arrived and they are getting married on his family’s yacht. When a man is found dead the day of the wedding, and it appears he was on the ship for the rehearsal dinner, Marc asks Addie if she can identify the man. Since no one recognizes him, Marc chooses not to tell his sister and ruin her big day.

As maid of honor, Addie is staying on board to help Serena throughout her big day. With Marc’s ex girlfriend crashing the wedding, she has her work cut out for her. After the ceremony and reception, Serena and Zach head off on their honeymoon while many of the guests stay overnight on the ship. In the morning Marc’s ex is missing and the police find her body washed up on shore.

Keeping most of the details under wraps, the police keep everyone on board until they can investigate. Soon Addie discovers a connection to the ship owner’s massive rare book collection and she is playing consultant to the police on the case. Will Addie be able to help Marc solve the case or will she become the next victim?

This is a fantastic series that delivers a solid whodunit with each entry. Full of red herrings and enough suspects to keep you guessing right up to the end. Excellent writing and well developed characters transport you to Greyborne Harbor and make this a hard to put down series.
