I was so excited to get approved for this book but I’m unfortunately unable to review this book as there is not a kindle format edition.

This is the fourth in the Auntie Poldi series, and that led to issues for me in trying to engage in the story. There was a great deal of backstory, and many recurring characters—Poldi’s family, friends, and multiple romantic relationships, both past and present. All of this plays a major part in the narrative and I found myself lost at times trying to follow it all. Auntie Poldi, with her unconventional style, is a fun character. Unfortunately, the mystery was often overshadowed by the character and her antics. All in all, an okay read.

Thank you Netgalley for the advance copy. My first Auntie Poldi experience. An adventure with murder, theft, humour and drama Poldi gets caught up in a new case that involves The Pope.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the mystery was easy to follow but not a dead giveaway and the characters make you want to know more.

A terrific romp! Is it a mystery or a comic novel? It’s both! Title character Poldi is a force of nature, and the book features a wild assortment of distinct characters and a compelling portrait of Sicily. Highly recommended

This fourth in the series following the improbable sleuth known as Auntie Poldi is better than the preceding two, but never quite reaches the heights of the introductory novel. There is a lot to absorb, and a lot of information about the Madonna and Her various incarnations. Here we have Poldi spending much time in Rome, the Vatican to be exact, and even some cameos by Pope Francis that are quite hilarious. The mystery itself isn't particularly engaging, but the misadventures of a Bavarian sexagenarian rollicking around Italy are intermittently fun if at times a little forced.

This book is not in PDF format nor is it available on Kindle.
I really want to read this book, please look into the downloadable format.

I cant really rate this book if I am unable to read it, but as NeGalley doesn't allow me to post this review I have to give a star rating tentatively.
