Billionaire Daniel Moretti is accused of having an affair with his brothers wife. The press are relentless and it's impacting his business and personal life. Will a fake engagement be enough to calm the hounds? With family obligations and expectations in jeopardy he needs to find a solution fast.
When Daniel Moretti finds himself in a storage closet with a half dressed woman and the press on the other side of the door, a plan is hatched. Will the world believe their story? Can they salvage their own lives while saving those they love from more harm?
If Daniel and Ava can convince the world they are in love and headed for marital bliss, maybe they can get their families off their back, focus on what matters, and discover happiness. They only thing Daniel didn't plan on was his feelings for Ava.
A scorchin hot read with a fun plot, great characters, and a whole lot of fun. The chemistry is scorchin hot with intense heat, banter, and charm. From the first to the last page you won't be able to stop reading. Will their arrangement blossom into something more lifelong than temporary?

I love Stefanie London's other books, I had high expectations for The Fiancé. Unfortunately it didn't work quite as well for me as I hoped. I was left wanting more and felt it was a little short (such is the struggle with Dare titles!).

The Fiancé is sexy, fun, and a truly enjoyable romance to be swept away by for a few hours. I love a wound-tight hero who is undone by a straight-shooting heroine and Daniel and Ava gave that in spades.
Ava is a teacher who has had a run of bad luck. She isn’t able to land a permanent job as a teacher, has to work at night for a catering company, and now her apartment is being sold and there’s no way she can find a place like it at a rate she can afford. It seems like the cherry on top of a s--- sundae when she’s caught in the supply closet with Daniel Moretti. She can’t afford to lose her job if her boss thinks she’s hitting up supply closets with clients, but Daniel offers an interesting proposition: he’ll help her get back on her feet if she agrees to pose as his fiancée. Ava is a kindhearted, hardworking woman who can’t catch a break and I felt for her. There are elements of Cinderella as she’s swept away by Daniel and finds herself living a life so far from her normal. And Daniel is a Prince Charming…just a flawed, emotionally scarred one. Daniel knows image is everything and he needs Ava’s help to stave off false rumors that are threatening his company and his relationship with his brother. Daniel has seen firsthand the toxic side of love. His parents’ marriage was a disaster – to put it mildly – and he’s scarred and afraid to open up because of it. He keeps himself apart from everyone, but Ava isn’t about to let him hide behind his walls.
A fake relationship becomes all-too-real almost immediately thanks to the irresistible pull between Ava and Daniel. Their chemistry is fantastic and Stefanie London cranks the heat on high to devastatingly sexy effect. I love the heat and the heart as Ava and Daniel become more and more intertwined. So if you’re looking for a sexy Cinderella story where things only get better after midnight, The Fiancé is the perfect read for you.

This is Ava and Daniel’s story. Ava is an unemployed teacher working as a catering waitress. Daniel is a wealthy CEO. He’s trying to fix a gossip rag story that he is sleeping with his sister-in-law. He goes into a serving closet to be alone. Unfortunately Ava is in there changing clothes. They are caught in a compromising position. He talks her into posing as his fiancée. She moves in with him. Can a deal turn into love? I read the book in one sitting. I loved it.

The Fiancé by Stefanie London is a sweet and interesting story that completely focuses on modern times, modern feelings, and the modern demons around us. I enjoyed every part of this fun, modern, picturesque and romantic novel that reminds me of hope and serenity, a modern fairy tale that offers an escape succeeds for at least a few hours. The characters are well-written and develop at a smooth, steady pace. I look forward to reading more from the author.

The book fine - I thought it had some good steamy scenes. The conflict between Daniel and his brother went on for too long and then was resolved in a few sentences.

Fake relationship AND forced proximity?? Yes, please. Thank you to Harlequin and Stefanie London for this fast and steamy read. I was between books and was craving something fast paced and engaging with enough steam to keep me turning the pages and this was it. I requested based on Stefanie London alone and later realized that this is a series. I am definitely going to find rest of this series!

Sometimes the most unpleasant situations and meetings can bring the greatest pleasure and treasure in our lives ...
We meet Ava Matthews, a teacher who struggles to find work, pressured from all sides, with no obvious way out and solution .... We also meet the handsome Daniel Moretti, a man accused and sentenced without being given a chance to defend himself, convicted based on speculations and intrigues ... and those two, in an attempt to escape the discomfort at least for a moment, find themselves in the same place at the same time ... hidden from everything, and yet about to be discovered by everyone ... one look, a few words and the solution to all their problems is here ... the perfect solution for both of them, but what will happen when the feelings culminate, when the passion takes the helm of their lives and sails to something deeper? What will happen when the end of that farce comes, which looks more and more like truth, a truth that marks them both...
A sweet and interesting story that completely focuses on modern times, modern feelings, modern demons around us. A writer who is completely new to me, but who aims directly through thought, without the twists and turns of metaphors and piles of stylish figures. Easy to read and follow, this story is perfect for every romance reader, with an author who makes you think deeply and enjoy the lightness of the story at the same time. A story that very subtly intertwines topics that are not at all easy to read. The consequences of disharmonious family life, loneliness, the influence of the environment on human decisions are just some of the topics that will bring deeper thoughts. And the main characters are fantastic, Daniel Moretti- a man who always had the most beautiful girls and attended the most famous parties, drove the most expensive cars, powerful, rich and educated, only in love he remained illiterate. And Ava is a girl who is a perfect heroine, brave and courageous, vulnerable, yet strong enough to accept her feelings and fight for her happiness. While many authors insist that it is imperative to describe in the smallest detail the feelings, objects, characters, events, circumstances, places - this author proves that the reader can enjoy the course of her story without being overwhelmed with too many details.
And she is right. I enjoyed every part of this fun, modern, picturesque and romantic novel that reminds me of hope and serenity, a modern fairy tale that offers an escape succeeds for at least a few hours.

I really love Stephanie London and her writing. Fake relationship is catnip and this book worked. I ended up buying the other books in the series because I can't wait to read more of these books.
I will be featuring this title in Harlequin Romance episode in January.

I do wish these books would be published in mass market for the US- out bookstore customers would love them! Cute and quirky romance that makes you want to share a glass of wine with the characters and hang out together.

A cute, sexy, flirty read that had me sucked in instantly! Ava and Daniel were fire and ice but what made them polar opposites is also what made the fun between the sheets so hot!
If you’re looking for a good funny and very steamy ready this book is definitely the one for you!

Family dynamics take center stage in this tale of fiercely independent Ava and wealthy investor Daniel, an unlikely pairing of opposites. Having made a just-for-show fake engagement arrangement, they come to realize their first impressions of each other were wrong. Eventually these and other misunderstandings are cleared up. However, London's choppy plotting and sketchy character development make The Fiance difficult to follow.
