This is a cute romance with a funny heroine that will endear readers and is a perfect spring read, light and entertaining.

Thank you netgalley for allowing me to read this story. Not what I was expecting at first but I really enjoyed the characters.

Going into this novel, I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy it because I am not usually a fan of ghosts, spirits, etc. However, the spirits were done in such a beautiful way there is no way someone would not fall in love with them and the story. ⁣
Sabrina, the main character, is extremely relatable with her struggles as a young woman who sees ghosts. She looses her job, finds another and falls in love along the way. If you love a good romcom with a twist, you’re sure to enjoy The Kindred Spirits Supper Club! ⁣

This was such a quirky and fun romcom! This book has a touch of magical realism, which I loved. It has a great plot, and even better characters. Sabrina is such a quirky, anxious and fun character. I thought it was well portrayed how anxiety can affect us and ways it can be controlled. Sabrina is a very relatable character, I saw a lot of myself in her. Ray is the perfect love interest for her. He was just as dorky, and was going through things of his own. And Molly was just an amazing character, and I loved her!!

Overall, I thought it was a fun book to read. It was quirky, light, funny, and just a fun book to read. It is a perfect read for the times right now. It is the perfect book to escape into. This book will keep you laughing, and you won’t be able to put it down. I would recommend this book if you’re looking for a good romcom!

I went into this book without reading too much into the blurb, and I was pleasantly surprised with a fresh romcom with a splash of the supernatural. While at times I felt as though the author was trying to do too many things at once, what with the bullying, the panic attacks, and the ghost appearances, I did find this to be an enjoyable book overall. If you're looking for a nice clean romance with some fun humor and a bit of mystery on the side, this one's for you.

Complicated characters with relatable insecurities, good food and true love means there's something for everyone in this adorably awkward love story with a paranormal twist.

This was such a quirky romcom and everything from the cover and title to the characters fit with it.

Sabrina’s family has the ability to see ghosts and help aid them in their unfinished business. Her character was extremely real, I especially loved how raw the book depicted her anxiety disorder. Ray was all that she should have in a doting boyfriend and I loved the space and consideration he gave her.

AMY had me at cheese! I mean she’s got a way to my heart with cheese what can I say! I love everything about this story! It’s lovable, romantic, foodie, and just down to earth charm. I love to laugh and this book did that in parts and also made my heart glow which happens every time I read a book by Amy. Hands down another amazing book but didn’t we already know that! 🥳🥳

This is a sweet, fun, feel good and delightful romance teemed with kind-hearted characters. I especially loved the main characters Ray and Sabrina and charming supporting characters. Both were brilliant and I instantly connected with them, started rooting for them.

Sabrina down on her luck, couldn't keep her job due to anxiety of meeting people, and had to take on a job in her home town Wisconsin Dells in order to pay her student debts. She has been looking for the opportunities in a big city to escape her hometown. On the other hand, Ray ran away from his rich life in NY and took over the Supper Club from his uncle in Sabrina’s town. Their first meet-cute was fun.

Eldest daughters in Sabrina’s family have a gift/curse of seeing ghosts, help them cross over to the other side after their last wish is fulfilled or pass the message to their family members. Both were very well- developed characters, down to earth, kind-hearted. Ray’s small acts and his tenderness melted my heart. Ghost Molly stole my heart too and her love story was tad sad, I loved the connection between her and MCs.

There were many moments in this that brought a smile upon my lips. I usually read a book in a day or two but I dragged this out for over a week as I wanted to cling to these characters as long as possible and selfishly wanted to live in their world. It was very hard to say goodbye to them. I savored each moment spent with them.

Overall, this book has fake dating, relatable characters, quirky ghosts, tender romance and yummy food and I would highly recommend it to readers looking for neat and clean romance.

This unexpected romance story warmed my heart and made me smile all the way through. Amy E. Reichert's The Kindred Spirits Supper Club took me by surprise with this an unusual take on finding love surrounded by ghosts. I appaud the author's take on dealing with anxiety and facing past bullies. Sabrina struggles with anxiety and the toll it takes on her health, while Ray strives to make a mark separate from his family and their money. The way these characters' lives have intertwined is kismet.

Now to find a supper club...

so yeah, 3 stars but they're a GOOD 3 stars. i think this would make a really cute romcom.

okay so technically, i really liked this. i liked the characters, the love interest, the magical realism, the atmosphere, the relationship, the backstory, the family dynamics. i loved molly and how she tied into the drive of the story.

and this makes me a horrible reviewer, but i cannot pinpoint why this story left me feeling so weird. i think i wanted more. but this seems to be a trend recently with the books i've been reading, so i'm like 90% sure that it's a me problem. i wanted more of the actual relationship i think. i want to feel.

the ONLY thing that i didn't especially like was erika and how cliche mean girl she was, but honestly it wasn't THAT bad and she never left a serious bad taste in my mouth, ya know? there was small petty details, but i skimmed over them easily.

i think this was cute. i enjoyed it. it was quick and easy to read. i'm not a huge fan of chick lit, i'd rather just stick with a romance novel instead, but i think there was a pretty good balance.

3.5 stars | A cozy, nostalgia-infused contemporary romance/mystery for anyone who has ever enjoyed a vacation in the Dells — complete with cheese curds, duck boats, supper clubs, and water parks. Oh, and ghosts.

Sabrina is home in the Wisconsin Dells while she's between jobs as a journalist — a career that isn't a great fit for an introvert with pretty severe anxiety. The only thing stronger than her aversion to making phone calls as a reporter, however, is her aversion to having ghosts pop in anytime and anywhere for her help. Since that family business/curse is inescapable when she's home, the Dells isn't a particularly good fit for her either. As she struggles to make ends meet, keep the homefront ghosts and bullies at bay, and keep her unsettling attraction to the new supper club owner in check, she finds that some people and places have unexpected ways of fitting together after all.

There are just a few too many balls in the air here, but most of them do end up working pretty well. The Midwestern setting is perfect, the ghost-side mystery is an interesting and well-developed twist, the relationship is a feel-good treat, and the main characters are unique but relatable and represent their struggles well. Fans of Reichert's "The Coincidence of Coconut Cake," and authors Abbi Waxman, Kelly Harms, and Maddie Dawson should like this one!

The first 100 pages of this book were a little rough for me. That is usually when I’ll toss a book in the DNF pile, but something in me was determined to keep reading...and I’m glad I did. The last two-thirds of the book picked up the pace and kept my interest far more.

I enjoyed the two MCs, Sabrina and Ray, and was instantly intrigued by their “meet-cute” at the water park. I also enjoyed Sabrina’s family “gift”and their interactions with the spirits. This was clever and I’d never read a book dealing with mediums/ghosts before. Molly and Sabrina’s “friendship” was fun and I loved how they helped one another throughout the story.

The author had an incredible way of making me feel Sabrina’s anxiety and panic attacks. It was easy to understand why she held back from intimate relationships, even friendships, because of what we learn about her past. Sabrinas character was my far the most developed and I would have loved to learn a bit more of Ray’s backstory, but there was enough there to keep me content.

Overall, this was between 3.5 and 4 stars for me. I would round up, given the emotion I felt for the MC and the unique storyline with Molly and the other spirits. I will definitely look into more from this author in the future.

started out liking this book. It was cute and a little quirky. But then, it turned into a little too much Ghost Whisper for me. I started to feel I knew what was going to happen (which I was right) and got a little bored. It just started moving at a slow pace for me.

I have loved all of Amy's books and this one is no exception. It took me a little longer to get into due to the ghosts but after I figured out what was going on, the story kept me reading.

Sabrina suffers from anxiety and moves back home to Wisconsin to "regroup". She gets a job operating a duck but her high school enemy owns the company and gives her no end of grief. Through a series of circumstances, she meets Ray, the new owner of a supper club, and he sets out to win her over.

A fun, lighthearted romance that will keep you reading past your bedtime.

I've always loved Reichert's books and this one was no different. This author writes with humor that is hard to find. I was a bit unsure about the spirit but it was so fun and funny that I just fell right in. Great book by a very talented author

I really enjoyed the latest book by Amy Reichert. I've read them all since The Coincidence of Coconut Cake, and each has been more fun than the last. This latest book, I wasn't too sure about, but I ended up loving it!

Sabrina and her family have a curse.... or a blessing, depending on who you talk to. The women of the family can see ghosts, but only those who have some unfinished business. As soon as possible, Sabrina escaped the small town life of Wisconsin Dells, as the ghosts couldn't follow her. Now she's back in town and seeing the ghosts.

Sabrina meets Ray, new to town and owner of a local restaurant. Ray makes Sabrina finally feel comfortable in her own skin, even as she tries to keep her secret. Who can say no to a kind, caring, and CUTE guy?

Utterly delightful, as expected. Reichert is a perennial first purchase author for collections where women's fiction is popular.

Sabrina Monroe has moved back to her home town where the women in her family have been know to help ghosts find peace and rest. Now, it seems to be Sabrina's turn to help ghosts. Sabrina has met Roy, a restauranteur, and they have mutual feelings for each other. However, Sabrina doesn't want Roy to be put off by her involvement with ghosts. A delightful, funny story that kept my interest throughout.
