Love, Love and more love!!! This book was so cute that I read it, and reread it! Sariah has a way of creating stories that are funny, swoony and yet not fluff. I enjoy everything this author writes and I'm never disappointed that her stories are fresh and always a pleasure to read. I also like that we see familiar characters appear in the story. Well done!!! Loved it!

This celebrity romance was pretty fun. Some parts seemed implausible to me (like the misunderstanding that tears them apart at one point), but the author did a good job at the end making you semi-believe it could happen. It wasn’t my favorite Sariah Wilson book, but I still enjoyed it. She always does a great job at immersing you into the Hollywood lifestyle. Juliet Nolan, our heroine in this one, is helping out her best friend by being a seat-filler for a Hollywood award’s night (so the venue looks filled on camera). She ends up being assigned to sit next to Noah Douglas, the heartthrob bigtime actor that she’s been in love with since junior high. But when he talks down to her, thinking she’s a stalker, she tells him she’s never heard of him before and tries to knock his ego down a peg or two. The two get further tangled up later when she ends up at his house to wash his dog (she’s a dog groomer). It’s a silly story line, but this author makes it work well. That’s one reason I like her books. She writes fun characters and does a decent job making you journey into the lifestyle of the rich and famous. If you want a light, fun read to take your mind off your troubles, this is a great book to do that.

Oh my gosh what a cute and fun read! Such a fun story line the characters were very likable. Enjoyed reading about how Noah helped Juliet overcome her biggest fear. Juliet over came her fear and fell in love. Loved reading about the dogs and Juliet's friends. I have to confess if I were 2o years younger I would have fallen in love with this book lol.. But still a must read!! Highly recommend!!

This was such a cute, funny and lighthearted book. I absolutely loved it. From minute one to be honest. It was so fangirling that I loved it! It's like the typical fantasy you have as a teenager.
Recently I read a lot of mystery and fantasy books, so I needed something light and contemporary. And this was the perfect romantic-comedy book I needed.
The romance is super cute, and the story is so easy-to-read. I read it in less than 24 hours! I don't if I'm proud about it though. But I definitely don't regret it.
I loved Juliet! She was so funny and cute. And Noah, please! like who couldn't love a man like that! He's absolutely perfect. So perfect that it's annoying (except that he isn't) I also loved the chemistry between them. Plus, there were dogs!
The only thing that I didn't like much was the overreaction on Noah's part. Honestly, it wasn't that big of a deal to me. But, yes, she should have come clean long before. I don't want to make any spoilers so I'll just leave it at that.
Overall, an utterly lovely, cute, lighthearted, funny romantic-comedy. If you like that genre you don't want to miss this one.

This was so ridiculously cute! I thought the premise was fun, but wasn’t sure how I would like it (I was worried it might be too cutesy or drag out the angsty portion too much), and I was so pleasantly surprised. For me, this was just the right amount of cute and drama. The characters, including the supporting ones, were great,

I was given this book via NetGalley for my honest review.

I have not read any book by this author before, and am now going to read all of her backlist. Oh my gosh, this is such a fun, cute, just all over happy read. I love the meet cute between Juliet and Noah, definitely one of my top tens. The whole story arc is a fun ride, one part of the story seemed odd, but as someone who has anxiety over odd things I could relate in a way.

This book is a perfect beach/ vacation fun read that will leave you smiling.

I loved this books so much! I am a huge Adam Driver fan. So much swoony moments. Sariah knows how to write contemporary rom-coms to a T! I loved this whole book! I couldn’t put it down. It was very satisfying!

We follow the dog groomer Juliet, who volunteers to be a seat filler at an awards show and then meets the handsome and very famous actor Noah Douglas. They bicker a bit, he finds her hilarious and amusing, and after they keep meeting they start hanging out. On top of that, since Juliet is afraid of kissing she keeps him at arms length, but when he proposes that she gets over it by practicing with him, she can't help but agree.

This story was so cute! I loved to see the relationship develop slowly, with Noah patiently respecting Juliet's boundaries and slowly gaining her trust. They have such a genuine caring relationship that keeps evolving through the story. I really enjoy the practice-kissing trope so this was a lot of fun. I'm always hesitant with romances with a famous person, but I think Noah's character was well realised since he felt like a full person who happens to have an abnormal job.

I'd really recommend this to anyone looking for a fun, well written romance!

The Seat Filler is an adorable romance book that had me hooked from chapter one. Juliet's best friend asks her to be a seat filler for an award show and she's shocked when she has to sit next to her celebrity crush Noah Douglas. But, their interaction doesn't go well and Juliet acts like she's never heard of him and that's when things get interesting.. This was such a cute romance I can't wait to read another book by Sariah.

3.5

I really struggled with rating this title because if I'm being honest, it started out SO good! It's clever, funny, well paced and I was hooked from the first chapter.

The characters were likable, the plot was funny and all was well.

Until it just, hit a wall? It went from being incredibly cute and enjoyable to slow and a tad childish if I'm being honest. Our protagonist has a fear of kissing. Yes folks, you heard that right. Which, I won't lie - if the author had played her cards right could have been cute and endearing but it ended up coming across as immature and boring.

It took far too long to wrap up, the explanation behind it was a bit ridiculous and I had a really hard time rolling with that specific storyline.

All in all I did actually enjoy the novel, but it has SO much potential to be better that it's disappointing that the author JUST missed the mark.

This is my new favorite book, and I've read it twice in the past week, it's that good. I love Sariah Wilson's approach to writing sweet romance- it's never boring and there is always plenty of heat and romantic tension between the characters, but it never crosses over into the explicit category. Her characters are always witty and likeable, but with flaws and quirks that make them very human and relatable. The characters were probably my favorite part of this book- they were very richly developed and I felt like I really understood their back stories and why they felt and reacted the way they did. The main man in this particular story is Noah Douglas, who just so happens to have been based on my favorite actor, one Mr. Adam Douglas Driver. So the fact that I was picturing that face and hearing his deep, sexy voice while reading did not hurt AT ALL. But I loved that while Noah was based on Adam, Sariah was able to make him a complete person with his own unique characteristics and personality. So even someone who isn't Adam Driver obsessed like I am can appreciate Noah for the swoon-worthy hero he is. And wow, did I ever relate to Juliet, the heroine. I think every girl who was ever awkward in high school needs to read this book- not to give them false hope that they'll end up with their favorite celebrity someday, but certainly to give them hope that the hangups that seem so huge and insurmountable will eventually fade away when the right person comes along and loves you for exactly who you are. This book was just so enjoyable, from the snarky banter, to the sweet romantic moments, and all the laughter and tears in between. And when I say tears, I mean it literally- if the end of this book doesn't bring a tear to your eye, you might be a robot. It was truly one of the best "happily ever afters" I have ever had the pleasure to read and I know I'll be going back to relive it again and again.

This was such a good love story. I finished it in one day bc I just wanted to find out what happens at the end!! Juliet was asked to be a seat filler at an Awards show. Little did she know, she would be asked to sit by the most famous guy, Noah! When she acts like she doesn't know him and just does her job for the night, she is surprised to be connected with Noah after. Will they find love? Will he help her come out of her shell?

This is a book that I really liked bc the main character has anxiety. The author shows her anxious not in a sad or laughable way. But, in a way that shows how an adult woman would be nervous at times. I would recommend this book to all my friends. I

A great read.

Juliet meets Noah while she is being a seat-filler at an awards ceremony. He was her school girl crush, but seeing what his ego is like she lies and says she doesn't know who he is. When they start to spend more time together and help each other out, she realises she is falling for him, but knows she needs to admit the truth. What will happen when he finds out?

Wow.! What a great book!! The Seat Filler is every girls dream who loves to watch award shows. The story of how Juliet meets Noah while being a seat filler at an awards show is just the beginning. I loved getting to know them, overcoming her phobias and seeing how they get to know each other. This is a feel good story - with the right amount of romance. Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC. Sariah Wilson is a new author for me that is now a favorite one too! Put this on your TBR list immediately.

The Seat Filler by Sariah Wilson a five-star read that contains no filler. My goodness this was a great read, it was sweet, funny and charming and just has that little something extra, and that’s not just the cute pooches and converse. It was nice to see the other side of the star, the humour side that is not captured on film, I have to say I am a huge Adam Driver fan so the similarities were amazing, and I loved the little touches, I could so see him playing the role of Noah if this was ever made into a movie. This story will have you swooning so hard, Juliet is just so sublime she can come wash my pooch any time.

The swoon feelings this book gave me were off the chart! I genuinely smiled, I laughed out loud at the banter between Noah & Juliet, and I stayed up all night to finish this book. This is an automatic preorder, but I am so happy to have been able to read it & I cannot wait to recommend it!

4.5 stars

‘The Seat Filler’ is full of Sariah Wilson’s signature wit, humor, and effervescent charm. It's just begging to be made into a movie.

The last thing that dog groomer Juliet Nolan expects when she volunteers to be a seat filler at a Hollywood studded awards show is to be placed right next to her favorite movie star, Noah Douglas. Stunned, she pretends she doesn’t know who he is, expecting never to see him again. But, when she becomes his emergency dog groomer and ends up telling him her biggest secret? That tiny little omission starts to feel not so tiny. And their growing friendship starts to feel a lot more than friendly.

I love the humor and wit that Wilson infuses into this story, and the way that she endears her characters to us as readers. Juliet and Noah leap right off of the page, and their romantic trajectory feels wholistic and satisfying in ways that a lot of other “clean” romances aren’t. You don’t feel like you’re missing out on anything, and I admire the way that Wilson has carved out a clear path in this genre that stays true to who she is a writer while also not shortchanging the reader.

I also enjoyed the unique storyline, and the way that Wilson slowly builds the attraction and connection between her two protagonists. ‘The Seat Filler’ is an absolute joy to read, and something I would love to watch on screen.

I loved this book!! It was like all of my fan fiction dreams come true. Meeting your childhood celebrity crush is one thing, but falling in love with him is totally different. I loved that this was a different trope than in most popular romances right now, and it was just so fun and flirty! This is my first book by Sariah Wilson but I’ll definitely be checking out her others!

I was so wonderfully surprised by this book. In this story, Juliet is trying to figure out her life. She is struggling with her dog-grooming business, she has a mantra of no dating, and she has a couple of secrets complicating her ability to move forward in life. In fulfilling a promise to her best friend, she finds herself meeting her lifelong celebrity crush. This meet-cute leads to a blossoming “friendship”, but is it possible she could give up her no-boyfriends rule, share her secrets, and find true love?

I had no expectations and went into this book blind, drawn in by the cover and title alone. This book was absolutely adorable, with characters I quickly loved and banter that was hilarious. The premise is a little weird but completely unique, which is something I’m always craving in the rom-com genre. The entire story is unexpected and funny, and parts had me laughing out loud. I will admit that I haven’t seen the movie with the same title, so I can’t attest to if similar themes are shared between the two. But overall, I am so pleased I found this book and read it in a single sitting. Recommend for anyone looking for a quick, quirky, heartwarming read.
