Debra is a master storyteller! A white knuckle thrill ride! Highly recommended! Romantic suspense at it’s very best!

4.25/5⭐️

The second in the Devlin & Falco police/mystery/thriller series.

This one is similar to the first in that there are two intertwined cases, and one is connected to Devlin. While that seemed a bit too convenient, it did add some extra suspense to the twisty plot. Lots of surprises as in I-didn’t-see-that-coming and overall a good addition to the series and a very satisfying read. Hope there are more in the offing.

Thanks to #NetGalley and #Thomas&Mercer for providing me the ARC. The opinions are strictly my own.

GONE TOO FAR....Debra Webb
Setting Birmingham, Alabama with detectives Devlin and Falco book # 2.
Double homicide, drug cartel, a good flowing plot , and the partnership of the two detective is good and how they work together.
Sadie Cross and more of what happened when she went undercover in Mexico, and her haunting dreams. Well done a good flowing plot to the end. Given arc by Net Galley and Thomas Mercer for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Oh My Goodness, Gone Too Far by Debra Webb is one of the best suspense thrillers this year! This is the second in the series for Devlin & Falco and once I started, I could not stop reading until it was the end. I enjoy the dynamics of Detective Kerri Devlin and her partner Detective Luke Falco with the Major Investigations Division in the Birmingham, AL police department. Kerri's daughter Tori is featured in this book and the story is riveting!
I won't post spoilers, but the many elements of this story that manage to intersect and weave together are amazing. Devlin and Falco arrive at the scene of an execution-style homicide and discover the new DDA Asher Walsh has been murdered along with Leo, the owner of an established and exclusive tobacco bar. Before Devlin can really get into her investigation, she is called and asked to come to Tori's school. Kerri arrives at Brighton to find out that Tori is implicated in the malicious accident of a fellow student. Tori is adamant that she did not cause the fall which leaves mean-girl Brendal in critical condition. There is something about Tori's demeanor that concerns Kerri. What information is Tori withholding?
Sadie Cross is a major character in this book. We learn more about her tormented past when she was deep undercover within a drug cartel in Mexico. The fractured dreams, memories, and frightening glimpses of that time in her life haunt her each night. Could the secret chanting, rituals, and drugs explain how she became invisible? It all adds up to explode in a conspiracy of silence and murder that has been going on for several years.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Could not put this down. I would remind myself I had things I had to accomplish, but kept returning to read one more chapter. Stayed up late because I was at 93% and had to see how it ended. Lol, I slept on it so my review would not be OMG, WOW! But, my review is still going to start with OMG, WOW! Sometimes a book is a woven tapestry. Artistry of the word. The second Devlin and Falco builds their relationship within a perfect layering of plots, twisting, turning, surprising, and in the end totally satisfying.

This book is set in Birmingham Alabama and the main characters are detectives Falco and Devlin , with an ex officer Sadie cross playing a main role. The story is fast paced it involves a drug cartel which Sadie Cross was involved with in the past. The main detectives have a good partnership and are relatable characters and this makes the book easy to read and enjoyable. There are plenty of twists in the story to keep you hooked to the end. it was interesting throughout and kept me engrossed right to the end.
