Despite the opportunity for someone new in his life, widower Tucker Rainbolt is ready to pack up his twin babies and start a new job and ultimately a new life. As his time to make the changes in his life draws ever closer, he cannot help but be forced to fight growing feelings for best friend Jena Harper. They are not only close as friends, but they also work together at a vet clinic. Why is it as he thinks of moving away does Tucker realize that he sees Jena as more than a friend, especially when it soon becomes apparent that she just might feel the same?

It was so nice to see Tucker's heart opening to Jena, all while being a fabulous father. In the terrific story of friends to lovers the transition was handled quite well. Watching characters realize they are in love is one of the sweetest things to me, and one of the favorite types of books for me to read.

Not only do readers get to see this romance blooming, efforts at animal rescue are at play since this is where Tucker and Jena work. Lastly, what makes this story work is that it is set in the holiday season, giving everything a nice warm vibe.

This book is the third in the Hearts of Oklahoma series. Even though I didn't get the chance to read the first two, I was able to be quite invested in this story and did enjoy the other characters that showed up as this story was being told. Both Jena and Tucker are wonderful characters and I am glad that I got to read this delightful book and see how they found love and made such a fine family with his gorgeous twin girls.

Many thanks to Love Inspired and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Tucker Rainbolt is a veterinarian, and a widower with four-year-old twins. Tucker and Jena Harper not only own a veterinarian practice together, but they are also best friends. As Tucker was the one to convince Jena to move to Rebel, Oklahoma, he now must convince her that him taking a job offer in Texas to make a fresh start, is the right move. Is leaving his family, friends, and the life he built in Rebel the right choice?

Jena Harper is loving her job as the local veterinarian and animal rescue coordinator. Everything in life is going as planned until her best friend Tucker tells her he is uprooting his family and taking a teaching job in Texas. How can he turn his back on his family and Jena when she needs him the most?

This is just the sweetest story, set in a small town. The characters are so well written that you feel a part of the story. I loved how the whole Rainbolt family was involved in the story and the added twist of a new character Dee which let us into the life of a younger Jena. I also loved that this was a story of faith and author Tina Radcliffe showed us how with faith, anything is possible. Add in the adorable rescue animals and this story had me hooked. This is the first book in the series that I have read, and it was not hard to follow as the supporting characters backstories were included in the narrative. I do look forward to going back and reading the first books in the series. Thank you so much to the author Tina Radcliffe, Harlequin Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book to review. It was a lovely story! Tucker Rainbolt has a dilemma. Should he go to Texas or not? He has two brothers, Reece and Mitch and they are all so different. From other reviews, I have learned there's a book about each of them.

Tucker is attentive and honest as well as a real gentleman. Jina is his partner and they run a vet's practice. How will she cope without him? Will he really leave? I was asking myself this all the way through the book.

Jina and Tucker are great together, very natural. Jina does have a tough past which was excellently and sensitively revealed by the author Tina Radcliffe.

Tucker is a single father and has two cute twins who are four years old. The little girls breathed life into this book. It is all about family, priorities and searching doe what and who you really want.

There's a cute rescue dog which Jina names Ernie and he is a bundle of energy.

The fundraiser was interesting to witness and I loved all the preparations and Thanksgiving and Christmas food. I felt really engrossed in this book.

Emotions, love truths friendships and festivities abound in this well woven holiday season tale. The animals at the rescue center were cute and I loved the way there was also a mare and foal (perfect for horse-mad me). I was so happy when the foal was born.

I was concerned for the animals' wellbeing and also for Dee as she has her own harrowing story and secrets too. Jina's secret had me fighting tears.

Thanks to Tina Radcliffe and Harlequin Love Inspired for my ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review. I really want to review more books by Tina Radcliffe and liked her writing style. She deals with tricky subjects well, reveals secrets in clever places and got me hooked.

I did not want this to end! I need to get the other books in the series as soon as possible.

5 stars.

His Holiday Prayer is the third book in Tina Radcliffe’s Hearts of Oklahoma series. I have not read the first two, but that did not ruin my enjoyment of this one. What it did do is have me adding the first two to my TBR list. Co-owners of Rebel Vet and Rescue, Tucker Rainbolt and Jena Harper are best friends. Tucker is a widower with four year old twin girls. He is looking for a fresh start, so when he is offered a wonderful job teaching in Texas, he decided it is just what he needs. Where will that leave Jena, the veterinarian practice and the animal rescue? It is only after this possible upheaval that Jena and Tucker being to realize that maybe their relationship is more than just friendship.

This is a sweet story of best friends, second chances, and unconditional love. I enjoyed getting to know both of these characters. They both had some baggage, Jena's we learn about during the story, Tucker's to deal with his losses. Jena is an extreme introvert and that is one of the reasons she has let Tucker be the face of the practice, but she learns to get a backbone and make decisions for herself and the rescue. There were some delightful animals and great secondary characters as well. I also enjoyed the theme of families by choice. There is a lot of good things in this story, including holiday magic (both Thanksgiving and Christmas are celebrated), faith, friendship and love. I definitely recommend this one to lovers of Christian romance, and holiday stories.

His Holiday Prayer is perfect for this crazy year we've been having. Not only are we coming up on the holidays, but 2020 hasn't exactly been a normal year for anyone. This inspirational friends to lovers romance is just what we need to remind us to keep pushing on and to have hope. I'll admit that I wasn't sure about this one when I realized that Tucker is a widower, especially with being recently widowed myself. But the more I read, the more this story and its characters pulled me right in. Whether you can relate to Tucker's circumstances or not, this one will hit you right in the feels. The characters are likable, the story is engaging, and now that I've met Tucker Rainbolt, I'm definitely going to be checking out the earlier books in the series.
