The premise of this story is completely unrealistic and ends without an HEA. There were multiple storylines that didn't move the story forward (maybe will be completed in future books but there was a lot of time spent on study groups and sorority drama with resolving chacters that were hard to keep straight.

I did like the chacter of Drew. I found him charming and easy going which paired well with the high maintenance Sophia. The liked the will they wont they and the forced proximity is a good trope.

It ends on a rather crappy break up situation which was confusing with her parents coming and her dad trying to buy him off. This lead me to believe there is going to be a miscommunication trope in the next book. Overall the story was ok with likable characters and a college campus setting.

Thank you NetGalley, Waterhouse Press, and Elizabeth Hayley for this advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

It took me a bit to get into this story but I'm glad I stuck it out. It turned out to be a cute, although sometimes cliche, novel and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Elizabeth Hayley gave me something I never thought I wanted, that being a book that was fade to black but was good. And by the fade to black that she cuts it off right before it actually starts to get spicy and I normally don't read those types of books when it comes to the romance genre and it worked well here. This book to me felt like it was well written for what it was, the only problem I had with this book was the fact you left me on a cliffhanger, but it was okay because it automatically made me go and start on the second book so I could figure out what happened to Drew. Now to the details of this book, Sophia and Drew was the definition of "should we really be together with everything that leads to us being together" it always came back to the fact that they meet because her brother did not want to tell their parents that he didn't want to do school anymore and took the easy way out and decided to have someone take them for him. Now for the whole Aamee part of the story, I was shocked with the way the author decided to end that part of the plot I thought it was melodramatic but that's just me. Now with the reason Drew left being with Sophia's father being who he is, I had the question of if her dad gave him money to stay away why didn't he use the money if he didn't take the check Sophia would have found it in the apartment but she didn't so why isn't Drew using the money when he obviously needs it. And the question becomes what happens in book two with the cliffhanger we get with Drew and how Sophia moves forward with him. Overall this book was a good book I would have to give it a three-star rating for the fact some things that happen in the book I felt were thrown in there as filler and nothing that added to the plot but don't all authors do that at some point.

This was a cute read - definitely could feel shades of Legally Blonde in the mix. I laughed out loud at some of the situations Sophia managed to get herself into and by default pulled Drew into. It was a sweet romcom.

Do note this ends on a cliffhanger as the book is part of series so don’t expect a HEA just yet as Sophia and Drew’s story continues.

3 🍭🍭🍭

There are things that I liked but I felt it was too long and kind of redundant sometimes.
While there are very funny moments and also, intelligent dialogues, I felt there were an excessive amount of things against Drew and Sofia.

I loved Carter! And Aamee was a funny character as well. This book could actually achieve a bigger score and a kind of book that takes too much to get closure, but then, the ending… 🤦🏻‍♀️

It just didn’t work for me and I definitely will not read the next one.

3.5 stars. This was an entertaining and enjoyable read! The book starts with Sophie getting kicked out of her sorority house for breaking one of the house rules. She packs up to go move in with her brother Brody, also attending the same college, but when she gets there she finds out Brody is not there. In his place is the good looking Drew posing as Brody.

I really liked both Drew and Sophia. I thought their chemistry was amazing! Their growing relationship was well paced and not rushed. I enjoyed how they had to hide their relationship because everyone thought they were brother and sister. So fun!

I must say some of the conflicts bothered me. A few things were taking too far. I thought Aamee was so petty and selfish. So immature! She just rubbed me the wrong way and seemed somewhat unbelievable.

The book ends on a cliffhanger! There is no happy ending or resolution to this one but there are two more books about there relationship. I will pick them up at some point for sure. I do enjoy a good young adult/new adult read. This was a fun, enjoyable one.

Thank you Waterhouse Press and NetGalley for the copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Didn’t like this book.

The main character is kind of a bitch so why is she in a sorority? Her brother is a spoilt brat. Their dad’s an ass.

The ending is stupid too and so cliche. I don’t care about the other books in the series.

This reminded me a lot of Elle Kennedy's writing in a sense. I really enjoyed it. It wasn't anything insane or different, but a fun and enjoyable read for sure. I would recommend it.

Never Have You Ever… read the blurb and I was sold. What I didn’t expect though, was how funny this book was going to be. I don’t like DNF’ing my books but the one I was reading before this one had me utterly disappointed and I was looking for a pick me up! And what can I say, this book delivered.

Fifi or Sophia, (I kinda dig the name Fifi), finds herself in a predicament, she gets thrown out of her sorority house by the vile and jealous and bitchy and… well you get the gist… President of her sorority and needs a place to stay. It so happens that her brother lives near the campus as he’s studying at the same University as her… or is he?

I loved how the friendship between Sofia and Drew started and flowed so organically! It totally seemed natural for them to become such close friends because they tried to put themselves in the other person’s shoes. And I also loved their banter, their humorous quips back and forth and the amazing side characters who weren’t just fillers but really made the dynamic of the whole book come alive. The only thing that, to me, didn’t feel like totally fit the flow was when and how the romantic feelings developed between our two main characters. Maybe it’s just me, but I kinda need that one “Oh.My.God” moment, and even though Fifi and Drew had many of those moments, none stood out to me… but that’s just my opinion and it kinda pales in comparison when you read the whole book and enjoy it to its core even with the slight hitch of it ending in a cliffhanger 😩…

I would rate this book 3/5 stars. Thank you Waterhouse Press, Waterhouse Press LLC, and NetGalley for giving me access to an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Never Have You Ever is about Sophia Mason and Drew Nolan pretending to be Sophia’s brother, Brody Mason. The story is dual-POV. When Sophia is kicked out of her sorority house over a technicality, she goes to stay with her brother Brody, only to find that there’s an attractive guy claiming to be her brother inhabiting his apartment. Drew is posing as Brody while Brody is off adventuring his way through Europe. Drew sees this as an opportunity to take some college classes and move out of his parent's house for a bit.
Not going to lie this book just overall wasn’t for me. I feel like there are so many ways these characters could’ve explained how they knew each other without it seeming like incest. They could have just said that they met and happen to have the same last name. I don’t know. The story felt janky to me and I didn’t like how Drew pretended to be gay to avoid girls hitting on him. It felt icky and like a cheap cop-out. There were parts of the book that I liked. The first half had me sucked in and binge-reading, but I think the spice/the fact that they wanted to hook up was hyped up so much that when the actual spice ended up being “fade to black” I was just disappointed.

Sorry for the delay in the post. Elizabeth Hayley writes an incredibly funny romance. The characters kept me interested in the story and had me flipping pages waiting to see what was next. I’ve been reading the other books in this series cause I enjoyed this one so much. I love the simplicity of the cover and it is colorful and makes you wonder what the book will be about.

This is YA romance with brother's best friend trope. Sophia is kicked out from sorority house so she decides to live with her brother- except that instead of his brother she finds brother's best friend Drew, who has taken his spot.

I liked the plot, I felt the connection, it was easy and quick read.

Plot ✍
Sophia Mason’s junior year of college isn’t exactly off to the best start. The semester has just begun, and the president of her sorority has already ousted her from the house. With nowhere else to turn, she ends up at her brother’s apartment—only to find it inhabited instead by a handsome stranger.

On paper, Drew Nolan doesn’t have much going for him as an uneducated bartender from a sketchy family. But when a spoiled rich kid asks Drew to take over his life so he can travel around Europe instead of attend classes, Drew sees the opportunity to get the college education he’s always dreamed of.

Thoughts 💭
I liked this book more that I thought I would. The concept of them falling in love when he is pretending to be her brother sounded way too weird. I didn't love that it just ends. Definitely not a happily ever after in this book. There are apparently 2 more books about this couple. That's a bit much to me but I will likely read them eventually. I wouldn't have picked this book had I known. The story was good though.

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC!

Overall I enjoyed this book. Sophia looking for her brother finds instead Drew. Drew is there posing as her brother in school while he is off in Italy. The back and forth was interesting, but I wasn’t a fan of the ending. It is kind of cliff hanger.
