The last year and it’s many challenges has left myself and my team feeling extremely stressed out and anxious at work so this book was a very timely read for me. By reading this book, I was able to learn easy ways to face my anxiety from work head on and I will reflect and reference these strategies for the remainder of my career. I was also able to learn how to manage and lead members of my team as they struggle with anxiety.

At first, I wondered if this book was going to be totally relevant or not to office. But as I read through, I realised the how the undercurrents at office, with uncertainty can create anxiety at work and carry through to home. While the book shows many existing programs that can help, it can be useful for individual contributors as well as managers to see some of the signs of what might be adding to that all encompassing anxiety. Helping team members deal with overload, switching jobs to keep the novel learning experience. It is a great workbook with many methods to solve the common problems and bring out the best in your self and employees.

I will recommend this to other leaders who are experiencing anxiety in this pandemic work style. I didn't realize how it is affecting me until I read this book. Thanks to Harper Wave/Business and NetGalley for this ARC.

I received an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review

Very informative look at vulnerability and service in leadership; worth reading for both a novice and a seasoned leader looking to make changes or a new path

This is one I'll recommend to fellow managers (especially those of us dealing with our own anxiety) during the absolute strangeness of pandemic work life. A helpful and practical guide to making work life less hard.
