I am a huge fan of this writing duo and this one did not disappoint! I loved the twists and turns and was completely surprised by the ending. I loved this idea of not really knowing who you are and can you trust those around you? The way the story converged was very intriguing. I will for sure hand sell and recommend!

Liv Constantine, well-known for her unexpected plot twists lives up to her reputation in her newest release, The Stranger in the Mirror. The author tackles the “amnesia” trope and attempts to inject it with a unique darkness. The book opens as Addison Hope is on her way to celebrate her engagement. Along the way she relates her current situation and how she developed retrograde amnesia two years ago. With no recall before the accident, Addison has taken the opportunity to create her own identity and rediscover her love for photography. Her fiancé’s gallery is the perfect way to reveal her talents. After seeing some publicity about Addison’s show, an unexpected visitor pops up at the event, claiming to be her husband. She does not remember him and is also shocked to discover that she is the mother of a young child. Torn between the past and future she had planned, Addison begins experiencing confusing flashbacks and memories. As the novel continues, it layers one revelation after another. Constantine certainly knows how to capture her readers, and The Stranger in the Mirror is a compelling read. The series of events can be a bit disconcerting as the reader is only enlightened as the protagonist discovers what has happened to her. There is some contradictory information and overreaching in terms of credibility, but the effects are diluted by the novel’s whirlwind pace. This is a mystery that may be too convoluted for some, but those familiar with Liv Constantine should have no problem following along.
Thanks to the author, Harper Collins and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an unbiased review.

The Stranger In The Mirror by Liv Constantine is a tale of suspense and intrigue. Addison has no idea what happened to her in the past or even what her real name might be. She was found by a stranger and has been living with him and his wife while she tries to unravel the mystery of her life. Plenty of twists to keep the reader entertained. Read and enjoy!

You must suspend disbelief for this story but it was highly addictive and I couldn't put it down. The whole amnesia plot is a catnip.

This book starts strong, an intense and thrilling read. The amnesia trope is one used frequently and can make the best thriller when executed well. In the case of Stranger in the Mirror, I loved the story, the flawed characters, and even some of the crazy twists. I’ve come to expect those wild twists (and love them) from Liv Constantine. My only issue was that I felt like this book asked me to suspend belief a bit too much. The end left me somewhat bewildered.
This won’t stop me from auto-buying their next book.

Thank you to Harper for my advanced copy of the book to review.

I loved this addictive psychological thriller . Luv Constantine did it again . This amnesia plot did it for me and the twists and turns were so brilliantly weaved throughout .. I love a story that grabs my attention from beginning to end.

Liv Constantine's latest domestic thriller features a woman that can't remember her past and embarks on a new life with her fiancé, only to have a member of her past appear. While it feels like the twist will be predictable, it is not what the reader would expect and the second half of the book goes on a twisty-turny ride until the conclusion.

This book was so good! I kind of guessed the ending but wasn't 100% sure so I loved that I was still surprised by the twists and turns. Highly recommend reading this!

If you The Last Mrs. Parrish, you’ll probably love this one as well. It was a wild ride from the beginning to the end. Well done, Liv Constantine!

Thank you, NetGalley, for an e-ARC of The Stranger in the Mirror by Liv Constantine.
The Stranger in the Mirror was my first Liv Constantine mystery. The book begins quickly with a suspenseful plot and much intrigue. The reader can feel Addison's confusion as she struggles with amnesia and an unknown past. However, the big plot twist was easily predictable, and the end of the book became too entangled with unbelievable events.

4.5/5

I know I have said this before but I freaking love the writing duo that is Liv Constantine, and The Stranger in the Mirror just might be my favorite of theirs yet! This was an unputdownable read for me, and I would have finished it the same day if I hadn't been waiting for a friend I was buddy reading it with. Eventually, I just couldn't wait any longer and flew through the rest of it just so I could know how the heck everything was going to tie together. I really enjoyed the three different viewpoints between Addison, Julian, and Blythe, and I LOVED the fact that there was a narrator for each of them for the audiobook. Suzanne Elise Freeman, Maggi-Meg Reed & Jeremy Arthur narrate this crazy ride, and they each did a perfect job with their characters. I especially loved Freeman & Reed, and their narration for the female viewpoints was spot on.

There are a lot of amnesia stories out there, but this is one that completely worked for me. The visions that Addison would see completely freaked me TF out, and there is the smallest supernatural quality to The Stranger in the Mirror that I was constantly trying to figure out. I was absolutely glued to this story, and I found it to be very suspenseful and perfectly paced. And the end? I mean now that was completely ridiculous in the best way for me. Really it probably shouldn't have been that surprising, but it was so messed up that I loved it anyway and it still managed to surprise me. This is another book I recommend going into as blind as possible and there really isn't a need to read the synopsis when it comes to something Liv Constantine has written. I know I will read their books no matter what, and The Stranger in the Mirror is a tiny bit gory as well which I totally wasn't expecting from them. LOVED IT!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book was crazy! I was a little confused at times because there was a lot of jumping around to figure out who the characters are and their backgrounds. This was one of those books that just had continual twists and you can't trust anyone!

I received a free ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I went back and forth on this one. It was a good story line. But, I did figure out parts of it about halfway through. I did find it a fast and enjoyable read though. 3.5

Fun suspense with lots of twists and turns! Things did slow down a little toward the last quarter of the book but I stuck with it and so glad I did! Fantastic thriller for a weekend read.

I really struggled with this book around the three-quarter mark. I didn’t like the ending of this story but did enjoy the flipping between her two lives due to the amnesia. I didn’t care for the secret that came out with husband and family in the Boston area. I appreciate receiving an advanced reader copy.

I am usually a big fan of Liv Constantine but this was a tough one to finish. I felt like the abuse of the main character was hard to read about, and felt like I wish there was more of her "new life" written about. I also felt like there was a lot of abuse towards the child. Wasnt for me.

Thank you to the publisher for giving me a chance to read a digital ARC of this book. I feel like I have a hit or miss relationship with Liv Constantine's books. I absolutely LOVED The Last Mrs. Parrish, and I have read every other book that they have published. In their newest one, Addison is getting ready to get married, but she has no recollection of her life before the last two years. She has amnesia, and has no clue who she is or where she came from. Luckily, someone found her and took her in, and since then, she has been slowly rebuilding her life. Here are some things that I did enjoy about this book: short chapters, a quick read, alternating perspectives, and although there was one twist that I figured out way early in the story, there was another one that I didn't see coming. Addison's amnesia and falling in love reminded me of The Vow, but if it were a thriller. There were also a couple of things that I didn't like about this story. Some of the last few parts, especially where they delved into the hypnotizing, were just way too far-fetched for me. I am also not a fan of the "she's acting crazy because she's off her meds" trope, and also, the supposedly caring husband who is directly responsible. Not to mention- the gaslighting. I know it's all part of the story, but some of these elements were glaringly bad. Overall, I was left thinking that this one was just average. The Last Mrs. Parrish continues to remain my favorite book of theirs.

What Liv Constantine does best is misdirection--the reader believes that she has figured out the plot or the characters and then BAM the book does a 180 degree turn around. The Stranger in the Mirror follows this template very well. First you like Addison and Gabriel and think that Blythe is the "bad guy". But then enter Julian and the reader likes him too. Then in the end, (spoiler alert) Julian turns out to have clay feet and Blythe is actually the character to save the day. Phew!! You will have to read the book to figure it all out!
