Who am I? Why do I keep having these memories, especially when I don't know who I am? Wow - this book was calling my name! I truly enjoy a good mystery. However, this mystery was a little too confusing for me. I could follow the changes in time, but the continued suicide attempts confused me. I did enjoy the prospect of the "happy ending".

Liv Constantine continues to create spellbinding mysteries! In "The Stranger in the Mirror," Addison has no memory of her life before she was found hitchhiking on the side of the road. She has successfully moved on, working as a photographer and becoming engaged to a wonderful man. In the back of her mind, however, she wonders where she came from and the few memories she's had are frightening. When someone from her past shows up and volunteers to help her know who she really is, Addison has to decide whether to believe them. Are they really there to help, or do they have ulterior motives? Read this book to find out!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Wow! The Stranger in the Mirror was a crazy, thrilling reading experience--the perfect pick for a weekend of escapism. I truly appreciate books that are easy to read and keep me turning the pages right now--I couldn't resist diving into this one super early.

Addison Hope is engaged to be married to Gabriel, her charming, loving fiance. Everything is perfect, except that Addison has amnesia and doesn't remember anything about her past. Two years ago she was picked up on the side of the highway by a kind truck driver, and Ed and his wife, Gigi, have become her surrogate parents. When Addison and Gabriel run into Dr. Julian Hunter at an art opening, the suspense gets kicked up another notch. Does Addison really have a husband and a child? Who can she trust? Are Gabriel, Ed, or Gigi part of this unremembered past? To say anymore would spoil the plot, but I recommend that you add this one to your reading list for next summer. In the meantime, check out Liv Constantine's other soapy page-turners for a much needed getaway to another world.

Thank you to HarperCollins and Netgalley for the librarian preview!

First a big thank you to NetGalley, the publishing house, and the authors for allowing me an ARC e-book in exchange for an honest opinion.
3.5 stars
I'm not upset at all that I read it but it wasn't my favorite book of these authors.
This book, as per usual with these authors, had me completely absorbed in the story. That being said, while I rushed to get through it, this book I was onto the twist. I won't get into the storyline as I don't want to ruin it for the others. But the story does leave you wondering if this has ever happened to someone as it is pretty believable. It takes a lot of trust to allow someone to hypnotize them because who knows what goes on while you are indisposed.

I always look forward to new books from Liv Constantine! One of my favorites for a page-turning, eye-catching thriller. Constantine's books are always easy reads while keeping you engaged with the writing and character development. This was one of my favorites; the storyline was distinguished and unique and it kept me guessing the entire way. The way the author can tie in all the events, in the end, is always impressive. I will definitely recommend this book to my audience!

This was an entertaining read that I overall enjoyed. There were a couple things that prevented this from being a four star book for me. I was confused a couple times in the book, but I think this was due to editing mistakes in the ARC--hopefully these will be fixed in the final book. For me, some of the scenes like the main character's flashbacks seemed slightly hokey. As a whole, though, I was glad I read this book and would recommend it to others.

Addison does not remember her life for the past 2 years, but she moves forward and is going to get married. When her old life catches up with her, you don't stop guessing until the end what's going on. I did get confused a couple of time about who is who but it all comes together and the ending is great.

Liv Constantine’s latest psychological thriller The Stranger in the Mirror is an impressive addition to their catalog of work...this story is absolutely crazy, it’s soapy, tense, and twisted beyond belief. And I just ate up every bit of it. I love my twisted books, and the Constantine sisters are so good at crafting an ending that you’d never see coming from a mile away.

This particular novel tells the story of a woman named Addison who is suffering from amnesia and is picked up on the side of the road by a kind man, who takes her home to his wife and she becomes like an adoptive daughter to them as they help her construct a new life. And so much mystery and drama unravels as her past comes back to find her......

I could not put it down. Was it all believable? Not really. But once you suspend disbelief with some of the hypnosis stuff it’s a wickedly good book that’s a page turner full of great characters and good dialogue. Loved it. 4.5 ⭐️ 💫

Thanks to HarperCollins and NetGalley for the advanced copy!

But with the help of the couple that takes her in she starts to build a new life for herself complete with a new job and a fiancé. She is happy, except for the disturbing visions and the scars on her arms, Who is she and what happened to her? When a successful doctor finds her and claims she is his wife that disappeared 2 years before she thinks the questions will be answered. But all is not as it seem and this is where the book gets twisty. What will Addison find out about herself? What is the truth? Who can she trust?

This book starts with a mystery on the first page: Who is Addison? Then, twists and turns are continually being added to the story while you are gasping in delight and wondering just where this will all end. Well, it ends in a neat little package; perhaps too neat. But, it was certainly an enjoyable journey getting to the end. This is another win for Liv Constantine!

Addison has amnesia and can't remember anything about her life. She settles in Pennsylvania after a kind truck driver rescued her from the road. She begins a relationship but is worried about the scars on her body and the bloody flashbacks she gets. One night a man named Julian recognizes her and claims she is his wife. The story had me guessing about Addison's flashbacks, was she capable of violence? And why did she loose her memory in the first place? The ending is crazy! Thanks to NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Having read this book, I’m not sure I understand exactly what it was about and what the author was trying to tell the audience. It is rife with inconsistencies and characters. The plot utilizes so many characters and devices for identifying them that I found myself trying to reread portions to help bring clarity.

Not to be a spoiler, but from the very first chapter, I had questions which were never answered. This book was too weird and incomprehensible for me.

Thank you Netgalley for this opportunity.

These authors can really write about demented charming husbands. First off, I could tell that something was off about Julian. He just seemed like a quack to me. Addy’s memories that slowly returned upon seeing certain things really throw you off. You keep trying to connect and you just can’t figure out what happened to her and ultimately caused her amnesia. It was a thrilling ride to getting the answers. This was truly a psychological thriller. It was well played and a totally unexpected ending.

Addison Hope has no idea who she is. No recollection of the past two years. She has found love with Gabriel who accepts her unknown past and loves her in spite.
When Julian shows up and tells Addison that she is married, has a child and a life back in Boston- she is torn. She remembers nothing of this.
Gabriel and Addisons new family are broken. Addison reluctantly goes to Boston. Julian takes it slow and Addison is Re acclimated to her old life. But now she has flashbacks and hears voices- forgets things. It’s terrible and she can’t handle it. She feels like a horrendous mother.
Who was she before her amnesia??

Another hit for the sisters who write under the pseudonym Liv Constantine! One of the best things about books from this duo, is the fact that characters do actually feel like they’re different! Not all books, allow you to feel the difference in characters, and I’m not sure if it’s because it’s two are actually doing the writing, but this one definitely feels like you are reading different characters! In doing this, I was able to connect with each character, understand where they were coming from, even if actions varied from one another! It grabbed me from the beginning and held my attention throughout the entire book! I have yet to read their first book, but this is probably my second fav out of the ones I’ve read. It has a story that has been told before, the memory loss, but is definitely done in the unique way, which makes it feel original, chilling, and of course fun! Lots of suspense, twists, thrills, and chills, in this slow burn, unputdownable, riveting novel! Highly, highly recommend! Word of advice, clear schedules and do not start before bed, as it is one you’ll want to finish once you start!

Will make sure to buzz around platforms and use low Amazon reviewer number on release date!

The Stranger in the Mirror definitely held my attention from the first page until the last and I flew through it. I enjoyed the story and the fast pace, even if the story was a little over the top and unbelievable at parts.

I'm a big fan of Liv Constantine, and this was another well-plotted suspense novel.

The things I liked:
-Well written, well plotted
-Excellent dialogue and very "real" character interactions
-Original plot-line that drew me in immediately

What made me grit my teeth:
-The plot fit together *too well*, in a way that felt like it was done for the author's convenience
-I had a hard time connecting to the main character, largely because instead of giving us a vibe of how she was feeling, a lot of "telling" was done. Show vs. Tell and all
-I would have liked this to be a slower burn. The MC spends 2 years having no memories at all, then all of a sudden ALL THIS STUFF happens all at once. The series of back-to-back coincidences definitely knocked it from a 4-star read to a 3-star read for me.
