🌟🌟🌟 'The Stranger In The Mirror' is a suspenseful psychological thriller. Amnesia is kind of a cliche character flaw that lends itself well to a suspense novel. I struggled with the timeline in this novel. I found it confusing to keep track of what was pre-amnesia vs the current timeline. Irregardless this still kept my finger swiping to the next page in anticipation. If you have enjoyed other Liv Constantine novels than you will be happy to read this one too. I am a huge fan of Liv Constantine's books, and this one was no different. I read "The Stranger in the Mirror" in a day and a half, only because I couldn't wait to see what would happen! The story follows a woman named Addison, living in Philadelphia and engaged to the man of her dreams. The only thing is that she can't remember anything in her life, except for the past two years. What follows is a tale of intrigue, murder and the truth finally being revealed. Who is Addison, and what has happened in her life to make her forget who she was? A great thriller that I would recommend to anyone!

This was yet another twisty domestic thriller I couldn’t put down. Don’t let the beginning fool you, you might think you have the story all figured out, but I was astounded once again by the big twist. ⠀

Julian has spent the last few years searching high and low for his missing wife, Cassandra. Just when he believes that the search for his wife is over, he takes a business trip and…there she is. It’s as if fate has brought her back to him and it’s relatively easy for Julian to make the case for her to travel back to their home after he shows her the photos of their daughter.
Leaving behind all the comforts of the small but happy life she’s beginning to build, Cassandra (now Addison), decides she owes it to herself to explore the past life she had before she moves forward with the new life she’s creating. She’s hoping for answers, but in true Liv Constantine fashion, nothing is as it seems. The more Cassandra remembers, the more she feels unsafe in her own house and in her own skin. If a tense and twisted plot is your thing (it’s definitely mine) than you need to add this to your reading list right away!

Liv Constantine’s latest psychological thriller The Stranger in the Mirror is an impressive addition to their catalog of work...this story is absolutely crazy, it’s soapy, tense, and twisted beyond belief. And I just ate up every bit of it.

I was disappointed in this title. The characters were so trite, and the suspense was completely lacking. I had so enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish, but this was nowhere near as good. Toward the ending of the book, when it should have been the climax, I was already wanting the book to be over. I hope the sisters return to form in their next book.

Addison is planning her perfect wedding to Gabriel. The only thing missing is Addison’s memories of the past. Two years ago, Addison is found injured without any identification wandering on a highway. She is picked up and taken in by a sweet couple who lost their daughter a few years back. With Ed and Gigi’s help Addison is able to get back on her feet but she still only has small flashbacks of the past that do not make any sense to her.

Meanwhile, several states away Julian, a successful doctor, is desperately searching for his wife Cassandra. Cassandra disappeared two years ago without a trace leaving him and their daughter. Imagine Julian’s surprise when he finally finds Cassandra several states away using the name Addison.

Although Addison, or Cassandra as she was known by her husband, doesn’t remember Julian or their daughter she is desperate for answers. She loves Gabriel but feels that she has to go back to her old life and her daughter. That’s when strange things start happening to her. She starts hearing voices telling her to hurt her daughter. This is when Julian tells her that she suffers from severe depression and anxiety and has to start back on her medicine. The twists and turns in the storyline show that everything might not be as it seems between Julian and Cassandra (Addison).

The Constantine sisters do not disappoint with their new domestic thriller. I was hooked from the beginning and it is a wild ride to the end. The authors do a fantastic job setting the present day story up. Then about ¾ of the way through the book they explain the past, which sets up an ending that I never saw coming. This novel contains lots of suspense, twists, thrills, and chills, in this slow burn, unputdownable, riveting novel! Highly, highly recommend!

Luv Constantine is back! I loved this crazy ride of a book. Kept me guessing and flipping pages as fast as I could!! Read this for what it is...a thrilling where is this going to go kind of book. Fun, imaginative, creepy and read in one sitting!

The author has created a frightening tale of what lost identity feels like. As the plot developers the truth is slowly revealed and the twists make this an exciting book to read. Spoiler alert

I do question the use of hypnosis in the story. As an amateur hypnotist, I am concerned that this perpetuates the myth of hypnosis being able to create a “Manchurian Candidate” type of transformation. The husband is a psychiatrist and uses many other tools, including drugs, to brainwash the heroine. This transformation may be possible- maybe?

The authors Liv Constantine have written some of my favorite books. They once again blew it out of the water with this one. I was completely captivated by the characters and all the secrets involved. I couldn't put this book down.

The Stranger in the Mirror was my second novel by Liv Constantine. It was fast-paced and entertaining, if not a bit of a stretch of the imagination and outlandish. It was an enjoyable read, but not as good compared to The Last Mrs. Parrish.

It’s been two years since Addison was found on the side of the road, wearing ragged clothing and amnesia clouting over her. She is now set to marry the love of her life, Gabriel, when a man, claiming to be her husband, shows up to take her home. This sets the stage for some unique twists and turns as “Addison” learns who she really is.

The plotline is great, it’s a psychological thriller that will hold you until the end. I did think that there were some odd anomalies in the storyline, that I am hoping are just because I read an uncorrected proof. Parts were predictable - the antagonist could be spotted a mile away. There were still some unique twists and turns to the story - it makes you think about who you can trust and who you cannot trust. It’s not as good as The Last Mrs. Parrish, but it’s still pretty good. I’d recommend this to another who enjoys a good psychological thriller and likes to be held captive by a story.

This is by far the best psychological thriller that I have read in quite awhile! Addison Hope has no idea who she as she was picked up by a trucker on the side of the road in New Jersey and taken to Philadelphia with complete amnesia. She built a life, the the help of the trucker and his wife, with this new identity, as a photographer and is engaged to a wealthy gallery owner. Unfortunately, Addy begins to get flashbacks of her former life, and she is convinced that she did something terrible.

By chance, her husband from her former life is speaking at a medical conference in Philly and sees an advertisement for the gallery. When he attends and sees his wife after two years, Addy's life changes, but is it for the better. This book had me questioning everything and had an ending that did not disappoint!

The Stranger in the Mirror is solid, if bit formulaic, slow burn thriller. As a casual read, it was entertaining and totally satisfying.

Addison Hope knows that is not her real name, but a name she gave herself because she cannot remember her former identity as she is suffering from retrograde amnesia. Addison has a life in Philadelphia with an older couple that have become family to her, she has a wealthy fiance who loves her, but all that is not enough when she cannot remember who she is or who she left behind. She struggles with flashbacks that may indicate that her former life was not necessarily on the up and up. Her soon-to-be mother in law, Blythe, is skeptical of Addison and determined to get to the bottom of it.

Julian is a single father raising his daughter, Valentina, in Boston. His wife, Cassandra, disappeared two years prior. Julian is determined to find out what happened to his wife.

Liv Constantine never fails to add a plot twist that the reader cannot see coming -- and I definitely did NOT see this one coming!

Addison can't remember her past. Julian is looking for his wife who disappeared. Readers will think they know where the story is going, but they have no idea. Heck, I was one of those readers at the beginning, but I began to second guess myself as the story went on. I definitely recommend this for anyone who likes the psychological thriller category. But beware, this one is mildly creepy, too! Needless to say, it will make a good summer read when it's released to the public in July 2021!

Wow, this one was really strange, weird, and twisted. This is the story of a woman who has amnesia and remembers none of her past. When a man who claims to be her husband finds her and convinced her to come home to her daughter the reader begins to find out everything is not how it seems. This is a tremendous psychological thriller that will have you creeped out!

The book had a very "Before I Go to Sleep" feel, but all the twists were not so obvious. I couldn't put this one down, partly because of how suspenseful it is, but also I got a bit confused on the timeline of some of the events. I feel that could have been more clear, but overall was a great read and I definitely recommend!

This was a very enjoyable read. Enough suspense to keep you turning the pages late into the night. A woman, soon to be married has no recollection of her past beyond the last two years when she was picked up by a friendly Philly trucker. She was found in NJ. Doctors say she has never been pregnant. Meanwhile in Boston a man is looking for his wife and the mother of his daughter who has been missing for (you guessed it) two years. I won't say any more but it's a good plot. Don't often give 5 stars but I think this one merits it.

This book was definitely a roller coaster ride! As an avid reader, I can often tell where a story is heading after just a few pages. The Stranger in the Mirror kept surprising me again and again with a plot that is full of twists and turns. It was perhaps a bit overdramatic, but with this genre that is to be expected. I enjoyed reading this book and if you don't mind suspending your sense of reality for awhile, you may enjoy it as well!
