This is a fantastic vegan cookbook that has a variety of recipes from around the world. From interesting dips, to pasta, stews and desserts there is something for everyone. The recipes are easy to follow and execute, but as the author is from the USA some ingredients were unknown to me and required some research.
As I do eat dairy, I adapted some recipes and they turned out well. It’s unusual for me to find a cookery book that includes this many recipes that I actually want to try. I am working my way through them all, but that may take some time. The Cuban bean soup was delicious, but I did have to Google ‘liquid smoke’.

Another great plant based cookbook! I love having the option for slow cooked plant based recipes because sometimes you just want something ready when you get home from work. Lots of great recipes with easy enough to find ingredients!

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review.

The Plant-Based Slow Cooker is an extensive vegan recipe book offering a huge variety of versatile recipes. I loved some of the recipes and can't wait to give them a go. One of the best thing was how simple the instructions were with many recipes just having a couple of simple steps. For me this is the whole essence of the slow cooker. The recipes could be easily adapted to suit different tastes and I was delighted to see the variety of breads and cakes included. The downside, was the lack of photographs. I love to be enticed by a photograph of what it I going to look like. But overall a good and very useable book.

I am absolutely speechless! Wow! I’ve been thinking about getting a slow cooker for some years now, but after reading this book I am going to buy one. I can honestly say I rarely read cookbooks with so many recipes I want to try immediately. In this case, I’m willing to try pretty much every single one!

I was sure that if I’d buy a slow cooker I would use it once or twice a year. Not after this though. Now I know I’ll use it often. I had no clue how versatile it is in the end. I thought it could only be used for vegan soups and stews, so this book really blew my mind! Seems like the author has pretty much the same taste like me, because I use pretty much these ingredients all the time. I especially enjoy the variety of foods, and recipes from so many countries. I’ve recently been bored with cooking, making the same meals over and over again. Will not happen for awhile now, because I have this awesome book! Only thing I would change is that I like pictures of food in my cookbooks.

A good all round slow cooker cookbook, which covers a wide range of recipes including soups, main meals and desserts. There were a few recipes that I will definitely be giving a go, and I think will become a regular for us at mealtimes. The only reason I don't rate this book higher is due to the lack of photographs of the dishes. I am a very visual person and do find this very helpful when preparing a new dish.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Publishers for the chance to explore and review this book!

The Plant-Based Slow Cooker is a book of easy recipes that are perfect for those days when an easy crockpot meal is the best option. There are at least a hundred vegetarian recipes ranging from dips for entertaining, a variety of stuffed vegetables, basic beans and grains, soups and stews, and desserts. There is probably something for everyone in this book, as there is a lot of global inspiration for the spices and flavors. My critique is with the design of the book. It has a very basic 2-color format and no pictures. For some, this may not matter, but I am always enticed to cook something new when I can see photos of the finished products - there is nothing visually interesting about this book. If you are looking for a basic cookbook, this is a good option.

You know when you get a cookery book and there’s perhaps one recipe that you add to your repertoire - not so with this book. I have at least 3 that’s are going to be regulars and a couple more that I will make on special occasions. There are 2 vegetarians and one meat eater in our house but we all aspire to be vegans. We are definitely in that path with help from this book. My only advise is to read it through before you do the recipes asa couple of the ingredients I had to search for. Well worth the effort!
