This is a character driven novel sent to me on Kindle by Netgalley for a review. It is not a cozy mystery. It is dark and mysterious and at times, one has to concentrate to ascertain what will happen next. I did not love it the way I have other mysteries but others might. Just not my genre.

What a thriller. This book kept me on the edge of my seat until the last page wondering what was going on. The characters are mysterious and deceitful. I highly recommend this book. It’s incredibly enjoyable.

Gone for Good by Joanna Schaffhausen. What a thrill ride! When a close-knit community was hit by a serial killer, Annalisa's safe place, surrounded by a a loving family lead by her police father, gets shaken as the latest victim is the wife of his partner and their neighbor. After this murder, the killer seemed to shut down. People guessed he was either dead or in jail for another crime and the murders remained unsolved for 20 years. Then The Grave Diggers, an online amateur crime-solving group, start looking into the murders. Apparently, they get close, as one of their own ends up dead exactly like the rest of the murders. Annalisa, now a police officer like her father, is on the case and is determine to find the killer now that he has resurfaced. She doesn't have to look far though; he has his sights on her as his next victim.

A serial killer who has not killed for 20 years has come out of retirement and Grace believes she can help catch him. Even though she is just an armchair sleuth she seems to know what she is doing. I enjoyed this book and look forward to this authors next book

Grace Harper sees herself as something of an amateur detective and she’s decided to use her skills to track down a serial killer known as the Lovelorn killer. It’s been twenty years since the killer has been active, but Grace believes he’s till out there, and she intends to see he pays for his crimes. Apparently Grace’s skills are a little too good and Detective Annalisa Vega is in charge of finding Grace’s killer. The crime scene is all too familiar to Vega, the Lovelorn Killer has struck again, and now Annalisa will have to retrace Grace’s steps to find a killer who’s obviously come out of retirement
