I love this book for my children! It's such a fun book of introducing Bible heroes to your children. I love the variety that it has brought to our study time.

Around 32 Bible heroes were written here, started with Adam and Eve then ended with Jesus. Not everyone were mentioned here, but some key personnages in the Bible.

The author included the story behind each heroes, when did he/she was born, who she/he was, their role in the Bible, and such. Quoting some of their words to highlight important things about their personality, or their deeds to God, and also another text from another part of the Bible that mentioning the said hero, show us why this person is important.

I also like the end of each personality's case, you can find "What we can learn from this hero."

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Barbour Publishing, Inc. Shiloh Kidz for my copy of Discover Bible Heroes An Illustrated Adventure for Kids 8-12 by Tracy M. Sumner in exchange for an honest review. It published February 1, 2021.
This is such a well-written and researched book. It would make a great addition to your child's or children's church's library. There are lots of great pictures that help bring the Bible to life in a way that a lot of illustrated Bibles do not. It would make a great gift!

Discover Bible Heroes
An Illustrated Adventure for Kids 8-12
by Tracy M. Sumner
Back of the Book: “So you think you know all the most important Bible characters?
Great. . .but you’ll learn even more here!
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the main character of the whole Bible. But God used many men, women, and children to fulfill His plan to bring salvation to the world. Discover Bible Heroes is written just for 8–12-year-olds, to help you get to know the 50 most important people in the Bible. Find out: who these people were and why they’re important the things they did and said what the Bible says about them what their stories can teach us From the Garden of Eden through the story of the early church in the New Testament, here are 50 important Bible characters that you should know. You’ll love this illustrated adventure for kids ages 8–12.
Impressions: I’m a little disappointed as this wasn’t what I was hoping for. I thought that it would give a more contextual perspective to the characters of the Bible to show how heroic they were. The Bible is real and I want my boys to be able to understand how God used ordinary people to do great things. Sometimes reading the Bible can appear antiquated and unrelatable but it is so much more than this view. I feel like this book did no more than my study Bible does when highlighting a character. I don’t think it was worth buying, unfortunately.

This Bible Story book is great for kids. It has lots of facts about each character. The sections are just long enough to keep the attention of a kid 7-10.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book for my honest feedback.
